Finally it's out! Poetry was a fun class. I learned about Haikus. CypherDen ➤ / cypherden Anyone Can Dig a Hole ➤ • Video ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Twitter ➤ / theodd1sout Website ➤ theodd1sout.com/
Any man can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to build a bridge The hole is a metaphor for isolation, or to put yourself into a horrible situation. Anyone can isolate themselves from the world, and make decisions to their detriment, but it takes a real load of courage to work your way out of the situation Edit: Took a creative writing elective this year that had a unit in poetry. Our teacher wasn’t depressed, she was manic
It sounds dumb until u actually figure it out by reading it all but u have questions still I mean it fits with the other riddles James talked abt soooo…
when james talked about how he hated when people were “cool” with their teachers, i was always like “yeah i agree”. but that was before i reached sophomore year of high school and met mr shinn…he’s a father figure for me and he’s prolly gonna be at my wedding someday 😭. i wouldn’t say im “cool” with him, but we have a father-child bond that’s quite wonderful imo
I had the same thing with a male teacher in the 7th grade. Everyone loved him very much and he spoke at weddings and graduations often. Sadly he passed away 5 years ago.
Aw thats sweet. My math teacher right now is super chill and everybody loves him too. He loves talkin and joking with everybody. This years one of the only times I don't hate math at all since my teacher is really awesome.
I had a 7th grade History teacher named Mr. Poe; he had a really cool voice, carried around a yardstick, and once threw a beach ball, intentionally missing a student
Marble High School is a school and historical site preserved by the National Register of Historic Places located in Marble, Colorado. It was built in 1910, and is the only surviving building in Marble
Anyone can dig a ditch but it takes a real man to ____. I think the answer is "stop" because the ditch is a metaphor for an addiction and digging is them going deeper into the "ditch".
Damn the "quotation marks incident" took me back.. I took a class in poetry in college, and the teacher used to say it was wrong of us to assume you need prior information on the author's backstory to understand a poem, everything you need to know is in the text. So she would ask stuff like: "What does the author mean with X?" And I would be like: "because of the wording, it sounds like he means Y", and she would correct me: "Oh no, to understand this you actually have to know that he moved houses a lot as a child and that his dad used to beat him up". I quit right after that.
"Anyone can dig a ditch but it takes a real man to fill it" meaning that anyone can have a life but only YOU can make it worth while/ meaningful to you
The one you said actually kinda makes sense(anyone can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to call it home) because it sounds like it's telling you to be Grateful for what you have
As someone who is friends with teachers, I still keep it professional and talk to them outside of their classes as well as never using their first name. I mean really, they're much older than me so the least I can do is respect them as an elder by adding a "Ms." or "Mr." to their name. Also I never even knew that poetry class was a thing because we always had to do Language Arts Literacy (LAL) and we hardly ever get to the parts of the book where we would read poems from there (which I like). So I would read those poems while the rest of the lesson was going on because I already read ahead of the story we were talking about.
Any man can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to fill it. Anyone can make things worse for themselves, but it takes courage to turn it around and try to make it better. Also, congrats on #1 on trending!
I found this in reddit: "Everyone can dig a ditch but it takes a real man to climb out" Meaning: Everyone can make mistakes but it takes a real man to "say sorry", realize, (i don't know the post said something like this).
I think the answer is, “anyone can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to climb out of it”. The ditch is a metaphor for an issue or a problem. Anyone can get in to trouble, but only a real man can fix it.
Nova Dreamer, smart answer. I’ve thought of: " Anyone can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to die inside it. " meaning he’s spend his entire life to do something the person loves till the day the person dies.
I’ve often heard the saying, “Anyone can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to get out of it. “ To represent making your own problems, and solving them too.
For the albatross one, if you don’t wanna read it, basically he was trapped on an island with his wife and another guy, when his wife died, the man on the island fed him Albertoss he liked it, later they were saved, and the man wanted albetross again, but when he had it, he realized it tasted different and he realized the guy fed him his dead wife, he jumped off the bridge in guilt.
Anyone can dig a ditch but it takes a real man to get out. Reason: the ditch is a metaphorical word for problem and it says anyone can get into a problem but you have to be a man to REALLY get out of the problem they are in
Their is this small group in my class who talk to the teacher about football or soccer practice .It was a whole class worth of that and it’s Always THE SAME CLASS!!!
mr boom no it's anyone can dig a ditch but it takes a real man to fill it. It means that anyone can make something bad for them but it takes a strong person to make it better
Last year, my math teacher was really laid back. You don't want to do the homework? Alright, but you need to do it if you want to re-do a test. You want to play online games after finishing the lesson? Sure. She would also be really easy to talk to. It was probably because she thought we could handle it (it was an AP class, and almost all of my class could walk into a test without studying and get a hundred, including me), but I was still dumbfounded by it. Anyways, throughout last year she always talked about wanting to be a social studies teacher (or english?), and she's not in her old room so I think she got her wish!
I actually went to the same school as James! (Kind of) this school is K-12. And they divided it up by an elementary school side, and a 6-12 side. I only went to this location from K-2, but my mom got a job at a new location opening of the same school. I’m still in that other school as a senior as of right now, and I’ve met a lot of amazing people over the years. Although a part of me wishes I went to a normal public school, it has been an amazing experience.
"...to build a bridge." This expression emphasizes the need for ingenuity, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to create something significant rather than merely performing a straightforward task. "...to admit his mistakes." This completion underscores the importance of humility, self-awareness, and the willingness to take responsibility for one's actions, suggesting that it takes courage and maturity to acknowledge one's faults. "...to stand up for what is right." This phrase implies that it requires moral courage, integrity, and conviction to defend principles, advocate for justice, or challenge prevailing norms or injustices.
0:37 yeah yeah yeah that is just so relatable!!!! One time during our class photograph my friend was asking the teacher "Maam did u buy this dress or placed a order for it?"
Poem! Roses aren't always red Violets aren't exactly blue I live in a world where Not everything's true You are a liar I am one, too But this is society And it's what we do
Oh my god when I was watching this video my little sister came in (she's 3) and looked at my phone. The only thing she said was 'look, that is baymax!'. I actually died 😂
Anyone can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to lie in it. Reasoning: Death is inevitable and it takes a real man to realize that. Digging the ditch represents his life, and lying in it represents his acceptance of the inevitable end.
Would the child you were be proud of the adult you have become? I wrote that in a poetry class in 9th grade. LOL. Never forget it. And the answer is HELL NO! That was clever and entertaining. Great animation, too! Thank you bro. I needed that. BTW, songs are poetry, but how many great song writers took a poetry class?
I always said: "Anyone can dig a ditch, but a real man would put down the shovel." (Meaning it takes a real man to either stop conflict or admit they were wrong. Idk it sounded poetic to me I am not prepared to explain it.)
the puzzle is "it takes a man to dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to fill it" in Stephen King's book "pet sematary" (yes that's how the book spells it) a man digs a hole, but doesn't have enough dirt to fill it. This point is stated and restated throughout the book and i believe it is very poetic
"Anyone can dig a ditch, But it takes a real man to build a bridge." Meaning that it's easy to distance yourself from others, but it takes real effort to overcome these barriers. Also it sorta rhymes, plus the d-d, b-b symmetry. Even if it isn't the "real" answer I think it just sounds nice and smartsy.
RIDDLE SOLVED (I THINK): "Anyone can dig a ditch, but it takes a real man to..." He stopped talking abruptly because he fell in the ditch, mid-sentence.
It’s been over 5 years. I still don’t have an answer to the riddle. But my first thought is still always gonna be “IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO DIG HIS GRAVE”
Idk if you know who he is but the animation of him hitting the desk wile saying that (p.s. It was funny I loved that part to) reminded me of sir pilo when he freaks out and hits the desk with both hands
