I have just recently gotten back into CB Radio after 25 years. I decided to dust off the old Dirland SS 3900 setup, get it re-tuned and gone through etc. and put it in the car. I did not like HAM Radio, as I was into it once and found it boring and limited in what a person can and cannot do. My Extra License, to me was a waste of time. The reason II left the CB, is that people (like in HAM) were taking things way to seriously and even going as far as hooking up chains to towers and pulling them down with their trucks, cutting peoples coax and I even seen it go as far as stalking and burning down each others houses. This is such the case within the Southwest Detroit (Channel 3, 26.985) and Ferndale/Hazel Park/Warren MI (Channel 1, 26.965) scene in the late 80's through Mid 90's. Given that, I gave it up and was disgusted with it. HAM operators took and probably still do take what is said to seriously as well, not to mention controlling. However, it seems that those times have passed and a sense of maturity has happened within what is coming back in the CB Community. I recently talked to some people I knew, and was talked back into it. I know computers and cell phones took it toll on the the communities and they left to troll the internet (sort of speak, or got the Cell-Phone Zombie Virus). I been watching your videos and fund them entertaining and even informative, and have found it to be rather a good thing that people are starting to get back into it. Hiding behind a monitor or cell phone have isolated us from each others and quite frankly have helped turn people into less knowledgeable humans (conspiracy theories, misinformation and so forth). The CB for all its bad parts when I was heavy into it in the 80's through mid 90's did have its communities and helped bring people together. Keep Making the great videos.

You have great videos. I have been looking at the Galaxy 959b. I been looking at them for some time now. I have the Galaxy DX959 77hml which is a great radio. Like me it is really got some age on it..lol.. I would like to have some advice on the 959b and see what you think about the 959b. It will be used as a base radio.
