Your record player is actually a Technics SL-BD20. Technics makes great turntables. The most popular one is the Technics SL-1200GR. That's expensive high end stuff.

Congratulations on the beginning of what should be a long and beautiful journey. Having a record is so much of a more gratifying experience than, let's say a CD. You can really hold it, you can admire it and you can read the damn printing! As you demonstrate, each record has it's own memory or sentiment attached. You just don't get that with Digital downloads. The colored vinyl ones are fun and visually striking but may not be the best sounding. As long as you are investing good money, consider getting the best quality and keep the colored vinyl as a novelty item. Take good care of your records and they will last a lifetime. You've got 20 today. Wait until you've got 200 and need to consider where you'll keep them all. When you've accumulated over a thousand you can really step back and be proud of what you have accomplished.

Authentic vintage 80s record player still in its box? Now THAT's a score. Also, no sleeves on your jackets? What gives? They're not expensive--you can get like, 20 for $4 at most record stores.

With most of the stuff shown about a half hour in, you'd like "somewhere at the bottom of the river between vega and altair" by la dispite I have the same neck deep pressing.

Nice collection. We have very similar tastes. I like a lot more older pop punk and alternative though. I need to check out some modern bands because I know very little about them. What do you think of Green Day? I have never heard you talk about them in your videos. They're my favorite band of all time, and a classic pop punk band.

You have creases and ring wear in some of the jackets. Just put the albums in protective plastic sleeves and put the inner sleeves behind the main jacket rather than inside.

Do your records a favor and buy plastic outer sleeves for all your records. You can get them cheap on ebay.

I saw mayday parade in may and knuckle puck opened for them they were really good I was getting into it but the fans I couldn't I almost had an anxiety attack (before anyone comments yes I've been to GA concerts and delt with pit before at a state champs concert) but even in the pit you have a little personal space during their set though there was none and guys were almost on top of me but we have like the same music taste I'm more into some heavier bands like BMTH and ADTR as well as the classics like panic! and Green Day

DUDE, you are so above a Crosley - well done! Get a copy of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" and you will be blown away. It is the best 30 or so minutes of music of the 20th Century. [It has been recorded by hundreds of orchestras - get any one except by Michael Tilson Thomas. ]

Vintage record players are better then the new ones.

I really like collection videos. But almost 50 min. for 23 records...I don't judge the musical selection. Collection videos are interesting If someone owns more records, then you can say somebody is serious about the hobby and it's not just done because of the mainstream. BUT I don't see a Crosley Turntable, thats good. This isn't a comment especially for your video. I could write it under hundreds of 'Record Collection Video'.

haha 23 records? Just wait to you really get addicted! I've bought 85 in the past 8 months alone, and have close to 2000 of various genres. If you like that Arctic Monkeys, I will say that you *must* get their very first album - a desert island album for sure. I collect older "vintage" pressings and buy newer bands on new vinyl. Nice little budget Technics turntable. MUCH better than a lot of the new cheap Crosley junk that's out there. You are correct, new records are bloody expensive. Be judicious on what you buy, save your money and spend it on experiences rather than records you'll never listen to.

I like you and your video & most of the records you have but sorry your choker around your neck is killing me LOL!! It's a Ok TT (turntable) you have I'm more of a Belt driven turntable guy my self (I have a Dual 506) But this one's ok nice! find.. I would also be a little careful about reissued records they tend to take them from the CD not from the original Master recordings or analog recordings. But there just as bad as a CD in my opinion, I do have a few & I can tell the difference I have been a record Guru since 1975. (my 2nd collection of 3,700 records) Most Importantly Enjoy the Music
