Well, that was some break from RU-vid. Life of a journalist in the middle of Indian national elections, I tell you. Anyway, the elections are over and I finally have some time to pay attention to my bikes.
For the last three months, I have been trying to customise my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 to my liking. The pegs have been moved to where they belong (out of the damn way), and the handlebar has been lowered for a slightly leaned forward, sporty stance.
The Interceptor has a tendency to wobble at high speeds (150 plus) and that got me thinking. Why not try a stiffer, upside down front suspension set up. Easier said than done, I tell you.
I tried installing the BMW G310R's front end first, but the t-stem on the lower clamp was too short for the Interceptor's neck. Ruling that out, I tried out the KTM Duke 390 front end. With a lot of subtle changes, we were able to make it fit on the bike, but it doesn't work perfect. The suspension was designed for a much lighter bike and so, on the Interceptor, the forks dive too much.
Need to look for progressive springs now.
The purpose of this video is not to give out a lot of details on what I am building - all that will be listed once the bike is ready. From the price to what all was needed to what all we did/cut/fabricate... everything.
For now, this is just a small update from me to you on what has been up with my bike and my long disappearance from this channel.

And yes, my Yamaha R15 V3 is still not ready, neither will it be for a while. I need to source parts for it, and for them I need time.
