My Soul Disintegrated Because of This Level. It's That Bad... // SE NO SKIP [#99] [SMM] 

That last level was 300 second long. Sometimes he died on accident in 60 seconds. Usually he had died after 250 seconds. Lets say the average attempt length was 150 seconds. Since he attempted this level 64 times, that means he was playing this level for 2 hours and 40 minutes. If the average length was closer to 200 seconds, that would be 3.5 hours. And if it was closer to those 250+ seconds attempts, he would have been playing that level for 4.5 hours.

In the second level Ryu, I think you were supposed to collect the coins with the buzzy beetle before you hit the p switch. That way after the switch wore off, you'd have a path to go through

Although it's surely annoying to play, the Ghostbuster level was a neat and simple idea. If the timer had been 500 seconds instead of 300 it would be a lot better, though.

I was looking for this last month as I needed a good laugh and this is the one episode I have never forgot...that pain...the angst...the patience..

this episode never stops being funny, I go watch this from time to time just to see the slow progress of optimism, to disbelief, to frustration, to total surrender....that ghost level gotta be one of the evilest level created in this game and Ryu actually managed to finish it without ragequitting LMAO 😂

Ryu is the undisputed king of Mario, but something that I feel doesn't get recognized enough is part of what allows him to wear such a crown is having the patience and dedication to beat levels like this. Excellent job Ryu, cannot believe you did it!

the key there was NOT to hit the blocks at "max jump" EVER, because those are the ones that could clip your feet. You kept getting greedy with your jumps, trying to kill more ghosts by jumping higher, and thus releasing ghosts that would force you to move before you had cleared yourself "headspace".

Sometimes I just come back to see this level to remember, that everything is going to be fine at the end

The last level is the definition of the Super Mario maker 1 Junk. It is so different from SMM2 HOT garbage. Still so entertaining to watch.

16:00 You were dropping so many boos that I thought I must be watching Royru.

I have the suspicion that that first level did not infact intend to be misleading, but you were meant to go forward with the "normal path", then acquire some powerup and you'd be able to revisit those initial rooms with new possibilities (for example a mushroom or a P switch in the beginning room to uncover the pipe with the blocks on top of it). Eventually you'd come back around to the room with the suspicious pipe and you'd be able to get there (presumably using i-frames). So essentially you just cheesed about half the level which is fair enough for you Ryu :P

These are the kind of levels where I‘m glad I‘m not a youtuber.

I think this is one of the few times I've seen Ryu really just lose it from frustration
