Hello Everybody!! I’m filming a Q&A in the next few days and wanted to give everyone a chance to ask a question about me if they wanted to! I really want you guys to get to know me more so ask anything you wanna know! The worst I can do is not answer! (Also, your RU-vid username will be in the video so if you don’t want it in there, add that in your comment!) Thank you for watching!! 💙
just wanted to say for peeps with dry skin on their face, the cerave hydrating cleanser and the cerave moisturizing cream are amazing. i also love the daily moisturizing lotion for my body!
I BOUGHT LOTS OF CERAVE PRODUCTS BECAUSE OF YOU!!! MY FAVORITE IS THE SUNSCREEN but you didn’t include it here! But that’s the best! A bit expensive but really good!! 🥰😍🙌🏼
I really like that idea but I don’t think my face would lol! I don’t know if I am willing to get that many breakouts and deal with all the hyperpigmentation it will leave lol! I will think about it because I would be interested to see how my face reacts as well!
I haven't tried the AM one but the PM didn't work for me unfortunately! it made my face pretty red and caused a lot of irritation and small bumps on my face! I do really like the Ultra Light sunscreen though! It's been my go-to sunscreen for the past few days!
Love this video! Do you recommend using the resurfacing retinol serum everyday or just 3 times a week like you mentioned? I bought it because of you haha love it!
I feel like whatever your skin can handle comfortably! If you are experiencing a lot of dryness and irritation cut the amount of days back! I find that 3x a week is a good amount for me! It’s best to start out with less and increase from there! I’m glad you’re liking it so far!!
I love CeraVe products! Unfortunately after self diagnosing myself from watching RU-vid, I believe I have fungal acne. I am trying to make sure I use products that are FA safe and run all ingredients through sezia. There are only 3 safe CeraVe products so I switched to Vanicream and CeraVe Baby cream, instead of CeraVe face wash and the lotion.
Vanicream is great! I used their products for a while! I thought I had fungal acne for a while after self diagnosing myself with RU-vid and google too lol! Turns out I just had a lot of closed comedones and now they usually only pop up on my forehead if I have used a product my skin didn't like! Are the new products helping you?
Sarahhh Beth they seem to be helping. I am also doing a mask with Nizoral dandruff shampoo. I also switched to Albolene instead of Ponds cold cream. Basically it’s the same as Ponds but you wipe it off with a tissue and it’s moisturizing. It does leave a film so you always need to follow up with a face wash.
Obsessed with your accent! It's so adorable. I love how simple and informative your videos are . It's so refreshing to watch someone approachable. I'm tired of watching overproduced videos where the first ten minutes is just the RU-vidr making faces at the camera.
I'm glad you found a routine you enjoy so much. I started with their foaming cleanser a long time ago and noticed daily it did dry me out and caused some redness, my skin did not feel so clean. The hydrating cleanser was better, but I just wasn't loving the results. I hear what you're saying about not using treatment washes everyday but I have been using a salicylic acid cream wash from Neutrogena for months now. It takes care of oil, dirt, cleans my pores, and feels gentle. That has been my main cleanser morning only. Consistently my skin has been staying clear. So it must be doing something good lol. 😛🥰 I do ♥️ the daily lotion though, I use that before bed to help retain moisture. I have left Neutrogena to try other things, but I always seem to go back to it. Plus cream cleansers are usually more gentle too, from what I read. 😊 Just sharing my story here nothing against you at all. I was super disappointed in the foaming cleanser when I realized my skin was getting worse. But I finally have a stable routine now so that's good 💕
I’m so glad the neutrogena cleanser works well for you! I’ve never tried that one and I might have to look into it! I’m sorry the cerave cleansers didn’t work well for you but at least you found your favorite cleanser out of the experience! Thanks for watching!!
@@SarahhhBeth it is called stress control cream wash. Super simple name but it has green tea and cucumber meant to help calm your skin and reduce irritation. That's what the label suggests anyway. A little bit goes a long way and I always feel clean. I am on my third bottle, it just does the trick. Thank you 💕❣️

Yes!!! I LOVE these videos! I’m so happy I’m a subscriber because ur vids are EXACTLY what I LOVE to watch! U need more attention and subs! Keep up with this! ❤️
Ik I’m commenting so much on ur channel but I like ur vids! 😉 What does the retinol do? I’m using adapalene/Differin gel but that helps with acne and I think the retinol helps with hp... also does the eye cream brighten dark circles/lines under the eye?
If you’re using adapalene you don’t need a retinol! The adapalene is stronger than a retinol and it also helps with hyperpigmentation so I would just keep doing what you’re doing if it’s working well for you!! And I think the cerave eye cream has helped brighten my undereye circles a bit! Could be that I’m getting a bit more sleep but I don’t know for sure lol! It’s supposed to help and has great ingredients!
for people with bumps/fungal acne: try the SA cleanser! it works SO GOOD and my skin is already cleared up after a week! i went from like 30 bumps to 2 tiny ones!
Hey Sarah! My mom just bought me my first CeraVe product! I’m slowly transitioning over from Cetaphil to CeraVe thanks to u! I got the CeraVe lotion and I’ll let u know how it goes once I get the other products as well! 😊
Literally one of my fav youtubers! So excited to see this video! I watched one of your previous video and I was wondering why do you have to leave out your nose crease when applying retinol? Q&A: What would you like to pursue in the future (profession wise)? I prefer to leave my username out!
Awhhhh thank you so much!! I leave my nose creases out because they get a lot of irritation and constantly break out if I put retinol there! I also noticed a lot of broken capillaries when using adapalene and tretinoin and I didn’t avoid my nose creases!
Ir skin transformed healthier and ur glowing These brand is actually good Many people recommended me But also ordinary syrums are great fr u Add to ur sking care products
Thank you so much!! I have actually always wanted to pursue dermatology ever since I was young because I’ve always had an interest in skin and skincare! It’s just sooooooo much school and after taking a few chemistry classes I was like I can not lololol
Great video. Thank you. My top 5 would be 1. Hydrating cleanser. 2. The lotion. 3. Moisturizing cream. 4. Skin renewing night cream. 4. Skin renewing gel oi. 5. Foaming wash. Also i found at walmart the cream thats in the tub they make it in a large tube which i really like.
Those all sound great!! I haven’t tried the renewing night cream or the renewing gel oil! Do you think I could benefit from using them in my routine? If so I will look more into them!
Just started Tretinoin for hyperpigmentation and needed to tone down my skincare routine BIG TIME. CeraVe has incredible ingredients and I can't wait to build my new routine around them
Petrolatum is purified and refined before going into any cosmetics and is not absorbed into the skin so it’s deemed as safe! There isn’t really a certain age per say, but I think I’m the back of the bottle says consult a physician if under 12 years old! I personally feel like retinols are great to start at anytime but especially your early 20’s!
I live in Brazil and here we don’t have all the products you have. Cerave it’s building itself really slowly here. But I use the Foaming Cleanser with niacinamide and the Facial Moisturizing Lotion (PM) and i’m loving. Best products ever.
I bought 2 bottles cerave foaming cleanser which contains Benzol peroxide 4% for acne but I also have post acne so I wanted to use the Cerave retinol after cleansing and moisturizing, but can I use it anyway? Or is it bad
Sorry but when she said you shouldn't use the benzoyl peroxide face wash everyday use it as a spot treatment i was like that is just false cause its a face wash not a acne treatment, so its fine to use benzoyl peroxide face washes everyday however you need an extremely good moisturiser
If your skin can tolerate using it every day that’s fine! I completely see the confusion but in my head I meant like don’t use it as as your main face wash that goes around your eyes. I don’t completely mean a spot treatment but more so targeted areas where you’re more prone to breakouts!
For some reason the daily moisturizing lotion for my face broke me out and burned but the moisturizing cream didn’t and on my body the daily mostrurizing lotion doesn’t burn or itch. I was a little confused for a while but decided to switch the daily to my body and the cream to my face and wow it works like a charm! :)
I would start using the sa cleanser a few nights a week and see how your skin reacts before you jump into using it daily! I started using it daily out of the blue and my skin got kind of irritated and I got a lot more breakouts!
Is it ok to use both the Cerave cream and lotion? I do because my skin is extremelyyyy dry and when I only use the cream or lotion it’s not enough. P.s I only use a little of both as much you’d probably use with one moisturizer thanks!
I’ve been using the cerave SA cleanser and cream for a month now and I’m not sure if I should continue because I can’t tell if I’m breaking out or I’m purging
Literally same here! I’ve been using it every morning lately ms I have a lot of tiny bumps! Not sure if it’s that or a sunscreen I used! Will update if I figure it out lol!
Differin is FDA approved for the treatment of acne but personally I didn’t have the best results with it! So far I think I like the cerave retinol better as I get better results with less irritation! Could have to do with other factors though like I’m on birth control now and use different skincare! So I’m not 100% sure but I really do like the cerave resurfacing retinol!
Omg I love your videos!! Could you please make a favourite sunscreens video? I'm really struggling to find one that works well with my skin. 😩 I love you so much! ❤️
There aren’t any acne fighting ingredients in it, but for a lot of people, just repairing their skin barrier and getting back to basics can help their skin a lot!
There is nothing for acne in it and it doesn’t claim to. But using a good cleanser and just cleaning your face and hydrating it and keeping it healthy is the best thing you can do for your skin (acne or not) I have acne and I use the foaming one but I used the hydrating one last winter and it didn’t break me out and kept my acne at ease. I love them both!!!
i have been using SA cleanser and moisturizing lotion for a few days and today i started using foaming facial cleanser and it felt hot after but i feel done now and my skin feels so smooth 💕
I’ve tried the hydrating one a little and I liked it! I haven’t used it a ton so I can’t say how it did for me long term but if it ends up not working out, you can always use it as a body wash!
I used CeraVe a long time ago because it was recommended by my dermatologist but that was years ago when they weren’t owned by L’Oréal and the products didn’t work as well for me back then! Dr.Dray here on RU-vid made me rediscover it and I’m so glad!! Thanks for watching and leaving a kind comment!!
I have a lot of blackheads from me not knowing what skincare is (I’m 18 and I’m trying to start taking care of my skin) I heard the renewing Sa cleanser could help that but I’m not sure how to use it, do I use the foaming cleanser as a daily cleanser and the Sa cleanser a few times a week or do I use the Sa cleanser daily?
Sarahhh Beth thank you! Your videos are really helpful, I watch Hyram but I’m on a budget so I was trying to find someone that used drugstore skincare and sunscreen and thank goodness I found you lol
Personally, the PM lotion caused a lot of irritation on my face, making it red and have a lot of small bumps on it so I can't give you a full answer on that one but I can say that the Moisturizing Lotion is Amazing on my normal-oily skin!
@@SarahhhBeth, thank you for the tidbits! I'm actually using the PM lotion, and I think it works well on my oily skin. However, I'm thinking of trying the Cerave moisturizing lotion because of your video. :)\
The PM looks to have the potential to “benefit” the skin because it has niacinamide which is a great ingredient for skin and the daily moisturizing lotion doesn’t have that! I would say if the PM is working well for you, stick with that for now! Maybe when you finish it you can try the moisturizing lotion and if you don’t like it as well, you can always use it up on the body!!
@@katedavis9535 I hope you like it!! A lot of people like the hydrating one but it stung my skin quite a bit and several people in the comments said the same happened to them, but there are also a lot of people in the comments that love it! You can always use either one up on your body if it doesn’t work out for your face!
@@SarahhhBeth I find it not enough moisturizing after cleansing with the cerave foaming cleanser : ( I find some dry patches , particularly on the cheeks . I was really wanting it to work , because of the price and the clean ingredient list , buuut ...
I know your skin type can change as you age! Like usually when people go through puberty, the skin is very likely to become oily, and as you age, it tends to become more dry! I also think products you use can have a part in what you think your skin type is! Some people use too many drying products and therefore think they have dry skin when they are really just drying it out with their products! I hope that made sense lol but overall, over time yes!
Sarahhh Beth thanks for that clarification, I use to think I had very dry skin but I was actually just using products that made my skin dry. Once I stop using those products I noticed that I have normal to dry skin.
If the acne is truly fungal, the SA cleanser won't help it because it doesn't have any anti-fungal properties! I would get the foaming cleanser to have a good gentle cleanser, and try to see a Derm soon to see if it is actually fungal acne or not! If you can't see a dermatologist and you think it's fungal, the ingredient Zinc pyrithione can help and it can be found in head and shoulders shampoo! You might think I'm crazy for telling you to wash your face with shampoo but zinc pyrithione is an anti-fungal and I've heard its helped a lot of people with fungal acne! If that doesn't work, you might just have a lot of closed comedones which could potentially be helped by the use of a Salicylic Acid cleanser like the ceraVe one or a retin-A! If you can see a Derm to properly get it evaluated it would probably save you some trouble but I also know that not everyone has access to one so I hope this helped!!
Sarahhh Beth okay one more question haha! I got the shampoo now for my cleanser should I get the SA cleanser or the foaming cleanser? (I have oily skin)
Im Hyrams videos it says the SA one could help fungal acne and in his drugstore cleanser video he recommended foam cleanser for oily skin so I am not sure which one to get.
I just did some more research for you and I wanted to correct myself! Salicylic acid CAN help a bit with fungal acne! It might be worth trying! I think the foaming cleanser is a great one but the SA one is amazing too! My only concern is your face might get dried out if you use it too often but your skin may be fine with it!
