I am so happy that I found your channel when I did. I have been ill and housebound for 4 years and lived in tracksuits. I am now mostly recovered and have lost weight; so recently replaced my ENTIRE wardrobe, which is not something you often get to do at once. It is SO on point and I can create endless combinations with my beautiful neutral pieces. It must be incredible to know that you influence so many women! I have 2 Video ideas: 1: would be super useful if you could create a detailed one around fabric types and what to look for (e.g. what blends to look for when buying a jumper, which fabrics to avoid - like if certain fabrics look cheap or don't age well with washing) 2: How you handle laundry (like which pieces do you dry clean, how do you keep whites white etc.)

I love your IG account! As I get older, I’m striving to look more polished and ditch the fast fashion and trendy junk pieces that are a waste of money. But I don’t want to look like I’m in clothes for “older women,” either. It’s so hard to not look boring/dowdy or too schmoopie with flowery ruffles and such which aren’t my style either. Your account is helping me learn about balance and how to put the basics I own together in new ways. I still struggle a bit with shoes, would love videos on that topic! Thank you for your content.

Top Secret Fundamental Styles Rules: Elevated Basics: Looking for elevated basics and combining these into your wardrobe. Elevated basic are essentially basics with unique twists/details. Eg a trench coat(basic) with a unique detailing such as shoulder pleating, sharp pointed colour contrast with button, and bigger sleeves. Another example, is a Chloe bag bag with unique twists such as interesting hardware, and Croc body. Also, with jewelry, look for pieces that are little bit different and not like the hoops owned by everyone… etc. You can apply this logic to everything else(shoes, belts, etc). The small details make a huge difference. *Elevated basics still have to perform the same function as a regular basic, but stand out uniquely*
This so insightful. I would love a video on the quality difference between a decent basic white t-shirt and a really high quality white t-shirt, for example, that makes it worth the extra cost. As I establish my basics I’m beginning to look to upgrade with one or two pieces at a time and would love some sense of what to look for. Same for cardigans, etc. thanks!

I’m going to migrate to Australia where it’s either warm, hot or extremely hot. I’m a bit at a loss on what to wear (especially items to cover up part of my legs) and how to make it look not too casual. I’m a winter clothes fan and love layering but with summer clothes in a warmer climate, options seem to be limited. What capsule items are versatile and can be combined with chic and more casual items and are not warm? I hope you will make a spring/summer video in the near future with some attention to high summer items to help me out☺️…

Great tips. I think a series like the Net-a-Porter Style SOS videos would be good. Get subscribers to send in style dilemmas like ‘what do I wear to wedding without spending a fortune and buying something I’ll only wear once?” or “I have to gave a presentation to a team of architects, what should I wear?” for example.
I honestly didn't notice you were offline for awhile, and I would rather you keep producing quality content like this. You knocked it out of the park with this video! I often struggled with feeling that some of my basics are boring, so this was really informative. I'm not a big fan of the ballet flats however - they seem a little anemic with the jeans.

I like this kind of videos. There were nice tips. I like your style, but I have a huge amount of colorful und patterned clothes. I tried to be minimalistic with my wardrobe, but in a more colorful way. 😃
How about doing style tips for body style. For example, I struggle because I am short waisted and its hard to wear high waisted pants. Maybe you can expand on this idea.
