"I can't buy anything without his approval" 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 financial abuse
@calrey
@calrey Год назад
Hey Graham-financial abuse is actually a thing. You should consider doing some research around it. The husband is clearly an abuser (I used to work at a non-profit a couple of decades ago that provided support services to victims). She might also be suffering from mental health issues because of that relationship which would make things even more difficult in terms of finding better employment or managing a side gig. Poor mental health quickly leads to burnout. Relationships in which a spouse completely controls the finances isn't a real relationship. It's one based on a foundation of fear for both partners. The wife needs financial education and empowerment. And the husband needs some serious support around his control issues and anything else that's probably lurking there. Anger issues. Fear. Etc.

Yeah I know many teaching jobs require masters degree. However, people do not need to go to 30-40k a year school to get that degree. Many students go to fancy, large “fun” schools instead of going to much cheaper state schools while staying close to parents home.
@LifeBindeR222
@LifeBindeR222 Год назад
Then don't teach in public schools, they're terrible anyway. Most states have a program where you can get a certificate when you have a bachelor degree to teach. Nobody should care about doing the world good or whatever, put yourself and your family first then the rest. If everyone did that the world would adjust accordingly and raise salaries in public schools and lower the requirements.

In the school district I live in the schools literally give you a teaching certificate for free as long as you have any bachelor’s degree…and a master’s degree only earns you $5 so it’s not necessary. She literally jumped into a field that she knew nothing about and didn’t do research on the paying rate for her area and accrued tons of debt. Schools everywhere are literally hiring anyone with any bachelors degree or even associates. @AbidingHopeMentalHealthCoach
I’ve been doing gig work for the past few years. Very part-time. I was pulling in $2000-$2500 per month. Within the last month or two, I have started working more hours, still not “full-time“ but close enough. and if I keep earning like I’ve been earning for another year, I’ll make more than she does. If she’s teaching art, she could deliver pizza on the weekends, or drive Uber on the weekends. There’s no excuse. Sorry, but I found your reaction very one-sided. Yes, student loans are horrible and what you said about the thing and the salary afterwards was very important, but the video you reacted to was about so much more and you didn't pick up on any of it. Also she never said she struggled with spending too much, imo he is the one who is spending frivolously on his car and track days while she doesn't even get access to internet? She didn't spend a dime and him controlling her spending is soooo unhealthy and not at all justifiable!

@TheGrahamStephanShow The folks taking the loans are the ones responsible for this nonsense. And why should the taxpayer be on the hook for their stupidity. No one took advantage of her. Stop it. She’s not a victim

I still think *VRI TOKEN* has a great future because it's owned by amazon. Also I don't hear anyone about DFI? Taking the biggest blow right now. From 5000 euros to 330.... will this still work out in the future? And since BTC will fall even further I think we haven't seen the bottom yet!

You actually do need a degree in art to teach in high school because (at least in california) you need at least a bachelor’s to get a single subject teaching credential (which I think covers elementary and middle school level teaching?). I actually considered becoming an art teacher, I’ve even checked out school job boards and there an art teaching job open ($60-$120k salary range) but it requires bachelors, single subject teaching credential and two letters of recommendation. I am not sure, but I think to get the advanced teaching credential to teach high school. Idk if you need a masters to get that. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone wondering

yes it varies by state In some states, ESPECIALLY for private schools, you may not need as many credentials. If you are in the process of becoming licensed you can also sometimes get hired on the condition that you will finish it out. In my area they hired a spanish teacher without a teaching liscense (from the US- he had been a spanish teacher in another country many years) on an emergency liscense because there were no other good canidates. but he did not get his liscense and they had to still accept applications, so they could not rehire him for the next year because they did have suitable canidates. this varies a lot by state and if it's private or public school

I wanna let you know that *VRI TOKEN* made it this year. What better way to start a global change? Don't get me wrong I know they are not like altruists or something but they keep doing the right thing to improve the situation, power the ecomonmy and so much more. We need players like them and we can always jump in the train at good spots such as this one

The problem is the mentality of finding a job that you love rather than finding a job that actually pays money and learning to love that job.

Hey Graham, how about we pay teachers better? You're acting like the problem is that she paid a bunch of money to become a teacher... I think people need to be compensated better. I agree, that nobody should be surprised that they're in a poor financial state because they paid a lot of money for a degree that they use to get a low paying job, but there are other issues here... cost of schooling and wages that are too low.

Graham - you are in left field about art teachers and needing college. I don't think you really know what goes on in a HS art classroom. HS art teachers need to attend college as they will be teaching many areas. They will teach - drawing, painting - water colors, acrylics, oils, palette knife, murals, graphic art, digital art, ceramics, photography, basketweaving, etc... HS art teachers also need to be able to direct students on the many careers that need artist. HS art teachers also need to learn about chemical safety as many paints, paint thinners, cleaning materials can create a deadly gas. btw.... this HS art teacher will receive a state funded pension when they retire.
