Obviously being a Irish lad he has ZERO interest in England. Hear me out here, England will qualify 1st win group but will NOT get 9 points. Why? coz every tournament they either fail to score at least once, or draw a group game. Exception being Euro 2004 where they scored in every game they played, but once again yes a loss to France remembet that Game?

A couple of months ago. jose was asked about the difficult situation at Chelsea which has gotten even worse in the last few games and he said "If I wanted to joke a little bit I would say that they only won 1 league title since I left. But jokes aside chelsea needs time unfortunately it's not in the club's DNA. I think ex players can play a role. I would love john Terry to be part of the board maybe. People who care about the club. He probably meant since 1998 but even then they had 2014 (1-0 loss in the quarters to eventual winners Germany) and 2018 (obviously, the win). Personally I d even say they arent getting out of the group but yes, that is a mistake by the Irish Guy

Part of me wants Ecuador to do well as I still remember the time I got them for the World Cup pick in primary school and had to write a booklet about the country. I also remember they not doing badly that year.
Apart from picking Japan to advance over Germany (which is utterly ridiculous) or picking Iran to advance over Wales, I think Irish Guy is pretty spot on with his predictions. World Cup Group Stage predictions are much more predictable compared to Champions League Group Stage predictions because the quality gap between Europe/South America and the rest of the world is utterly massive.
Respect the shout on Iran. 2014 they were really close to taking out Germany, the eventual champions in ET, but Neuer pulled some wonderful saves. 4 years ago they nearly won their group(including Spain and Portugal), but ended up bubbling out as 3rd with 4 points. This time *Iran not to finish last* is + money at betfair exchange. Can Lay them to finish bottom(=backing them not to finish bottom) at 1.87. That's a crazy price. It should be closer to 3, and I'm not entirely sure if it would be a good bet even at that price.
I'm Japanese and I'm praying the Irish Guy gets this one right. Particularly as we're most likely missing Endo who is by far our best defensive midfielder and helps keeps our shape
Australian here. The Irish Guy’s comments about our national team, were 100% bang on. There’s only about 3 players in the team now that I could actually name with confidence, and two of them are goalkeepers. That being said, I feel as though we can maybe sneak a point off of Tunisia, and France will hopefully succumb to the Champions Curse & have another 2010 horror show.
