The Irish Guy takes a look at his World Cup 2022 group stage predictions, including the likes of England topping the group, Germany being eliminated and the battle between USA and Wales. Business enquiries: irishguybusiness@gmail.com
Well, Valencia couldn't steer his team past Senegal (who didn't have Mane), and Gakpo could yet go on to have an indifferent second half of the world cup, so let's wait until the end
Can we all agree that him predicting Germany to finish 3rd is an amazing prediction, even getting the context right As for Belgium, Roberto Martinez left the team in case you don’t know
@@toekanmobeil892 I would just like to ask: Why would the Belgian FA be so desperate and stupid that they would allow a former Wigan manager to pull double duty for their golden generation? I'm not saying it isn't true. If that's the case, though, why?
@@sammywoj7924 Martinez is among the top 15 highest paid managers at the world cup...Belgium is also a pretty rich country and not "that" small ( 12 million people ). Overall, you're right that Belgium can't afford the best managers in the world, but the best managers in the world usually don't go for national teams. So it was pretty much just a case of "picking the first somewhat decent manager with experience"
Seeing Australia do so well is something I thought would never see again. And with Japan being a team I consider our rivals ( somewhat) I'm proud of them, it's nice to see them do well.
Here's what the entire round of 16 would look like if Irish Guy got all of his predictions right: Iran vs Netherlands Argentina vs France Denmark vs Poland Ecuador vs England Croatia vs Spain Brazil vs Uruguay Belgium vs Japan Portugal vs Serbia
Bringing the daily mourinho news to the Irish guy 4 years ago manchester united played a very important game against Newcastle. They needed to win to stay in the top 6 after a shaky start to the season. The day of the game breaking news comes out that jose mourinho will be sacked after this game no matter the result. This was quite disrespectful from the press and debates on major media outlets were made before the game on weather this was fair to jose walking into old Trafford basically as a dead man walking. Jose himself kept quiet and focused on the game which started very badly. Newcastle was 2-0 up at half time but in the 2nd half Jose stayed very calm just writing notes on his famous notebook and united made a stunning comeback to win 3-2 . After the final whistle jose turned to the camera raising his little finger and saying in Portuguese "To hell with all of you". Then after the game he gave a legendary post match interview "This is the victory of the players not me. I think what happened before the match had an impact on them. This is the first time in my life that I see a man hunt this strong and I'm a big boy I can cope with it but it impacted my players in the first half. Rashford was scared to play on the pitch. Hereira was scared to play despite the fact that they are not the ones being hunted. I guess this is what you guys call modern football. I don't know... I use to love this sport and I still love it but lots of weakness. Dishonesty. Betrayal and lack of integrity. If it rains tomorrow in London it's my fault. If England can't be clever enough to find a right deal for the brexit it's my fault so that's fine I'm used to it " He also had some chosen words for Paul Scholes who was heavily critical of him " I think Paul will go down as a fantastic player and as a terrible pundit. If he ever becomes a manager I wish him to have 25% of my success. I've won 25 trophies. I never did 2 back to back seasons without silverware in over 15 years so if he can have even 25% of my success he will be able to talk to me about football " Jose was not sacked after that game. But he was sacked after a 3-1 loss to Liverpool à few days after that leaving the club with a community shield. A league cup. A Europa league. A 2nd place finish. A post Ferguson record points tally of 81 points and an fa cup final in 2 years and a half." @@andreitv9921 I promised to do this as long as jose is at roma. Then eventually I'll move on. Unless he gets a club like psg or something because the daily news would be on a whole new level then
I watched this game. It was one of two instances that year when Mata and Fellaini came off the bench to win the game. The other was against Juventus in the Champions League.
Seeing the Irish Guy pouting 6 cans of spaghetti over his head was so satisfying after writing us off. If Australia beat Argentina, you should do an entire video with the Australian flag wrapped around yourself
It was unreal how at one moment, both Spain and Germany were set to be eliminated from their group. Japan beat two different countries who have won a World Cup in the past 12 years! Incredible!
That Germany call was good tbh. Tho I can say that at work we have a predictor predicting all the scores and group positions etc. before the tournament started. I submitted it literally hours before I watched ur predictions) and I am afraid I predicted Germany 3rd and losing by 1 goal to Japan, then a score draw with Spain and beating Costa Rica. Cheers for all the consistently great content - been subscribed for many years.
As an Austrian, sorry german friends, but i am laughing so hard now 😅 No hard feelings, let us Austrians have something to laugh about, when it comes to football 😅
Even tho u can't see his face till end jst his mannerisms you knew it was Michael. Honestly m8 best footie chan on RU-vid you deserve 1mill subs but you've smashed it this year n going on your own defo right decision.
I hope he will react to the last group in tomorrows video At the time I really thought Serbia were underrated and they were going through but it was just an Irish guy reverse 😭
