Mykelti's first words about GARRISON 

Garrison's friends donated so much money and other items to his 2 favorite shelters, they have dedicated a room with his name on it. The money can be used for all kinds of things. Their emails have been incredibly deep, grateful, and a memorializing way. Their choice of words was amazing. It's too bad that TLC couldn't see all the wonderful, loving, and positive things Garrison had already done, and doing. His Guard duty, his travels, his education, what and why he chose to go to school for, and his adopting cats, and renting rooms and his home to others. So many positive, loving stories from his National Guard friends, and school friends...TLC deemed unimportant. All of the children that Janelle and Christine raised, including Leon are intelligent, positive members of society, healthy, strong in their love for each other, wonderful parents and spouses...TLC deemed them unimportant to talk about. It would be a shame if they had to pay them in a few episodes... but they wanted the nastiness between parents that their children did not need to see. The only thing we heard was Kody bashing his adult children, while watching him love the last 5 in a way they had never had. 😢 This is why you don't put your children in the middle 😢 an excuse not to celebrate with them, not to celebrate them at all 😢

I’m a hair stylist and a client told me, as a random piece of gossip, about Garrison’s suicide. She doesn’t watch the show and didn’t realize that I was shattered. I just talked about how tragic it was, but I couldn’t let my true heartbreak show. I had to work. It really was like hearing about the death of someone I know and care about. I couldn’t stop thinking about Janelle and Christine and all of the kids. It’s a loss that is inconceivable. Brutal. I know that I’m going to try to be extra aware of the mental state of the people I love, and to take action if I’m worried. To check in, to call in professional help, if necessary… I’m just sending loving thoughts to all of the family. This will leave a deep scar on all. I pray that Garrison is at peace.❤

I am absolutely disgusted by the way some RU-vidrs are reporting on this and pushing blatant lies. I’m so thankful for your channel and a couple others that have been respectful and caring during this difficult time.

Very sad that Garrison thought this was the solution. It appears he was so loved and had so much to give the world.

Christine also sees the bright side of most things, so Mkelti comes by it honestly. On a side note, you are quickly becoming by favorite sisterwives' creator. 😊

There’s no ‘bright side’ to being dead. Sorry, just not a Mykelti fan. Of course Kody wasn’t completely to blame, everyone knows that. I think it just bothers people that they will be making bank off their dead child.

I wish this TLC mess was cancelled. But the show must go on. I don't think I will ever watch it again. It feels goulish.💙so sad for the OG's and those siblings.❤

Jenny, I so appreciate your kind and gentle manner in discussing this tragedy in the Brown family. I have seen one RU-vidr in particular throwing blame on certain family members, polygamy, and "the cult". IMO, this is not the time for blame, but instead we should be extending grace to the whole family, who, I'm sure are ALL grieving Garrison's loss.

I haven't watched any Sister Wives because it's so sad and I feel for Janelle and the family. My heart hurts for them. Prayers for the Brown family, especially Gabriel

A bright side …… it sucks to think it took Garrisons death to bring them together for however long no one knows.! I watched the replay of the episode where Garrison,Janelle Christine Gabe Savannah and Gwendeline were in Garrison,s new house discussing the ongoing conflict it was just so awful to watch much worse than the first time now that Garrison is gone …. I don’t believe I will be able to watch Sister Wives again ..maybe if Janelle and Christine had a show of their own but not with Kody and Robyn 💔

Saying there is a bright side or saying anything equivalent doesn’t mean how it sounds they are grasping for something to hold something to cling to that it will be ok somehow. She and the rest aren’t dismissing his death. They are distraught and grieving.

I'm concerned about a vast lack of social grace and general empathy in various comment sections I've seen. Not here, thankfully. So, I'll sincerely broach this subject here, among, perhaps a more mature group. When Kody and Robin are saying things, doing things, acting in ways we find offensive and negative, we have our valid reactions. And we, as fans, don't forget both functional and dysfunctional things we've seen the Brown family do for over a decade. But in light of a very real, very horrible tragedy, can we not, as a whole, a collective, face this family with a moment of collective support? No one has to type out "All is forgiven, Kody, because of this loss." No one is suddenly changing opinions of Kody. But to just blatantly type out hateful things or continue to hyper-focus on some sort of justice being served here. It makes me nauseous. It makes me frustrated, sad, disappointed. There really is such a thing as grace and not how Kody or others bastardize the word to cloak lies. But to see beyond all wrong and for a moment, put yourself in that person's loss, tragedy. And hold your tongue. And if nothing else, stop the negativity for a moment of respect. We're bigger than this. We can grind our axes about Kody when he gives us something new. And he will! 😂 But to carry on like this--it makes those people still kicking Kody and Robin thru this tragedy just as petty as Kody and Robin in my opinion. There. I said it! *whew*

Just such a terrible state of mine for someone to be in, thinking they can just turn themselves off. We have no idea where we go. Just such a waste of a young life, he would have had a wonderful life.

It isn't up to us, outsiders, to play the blame game, the persons closest to Garrison are doing that already among themselves and it also depends if a suicide note was left with some sort of explanation. Let them grief about this painful event and I hope that they get the support from loved ones when they need it and gradually get back to 'normal' life.

I can understand where Mykelti is coming from. Having the whole family together is probably something she never ever thought she would ever see again. And I KNOW she wished Garrison was there being a part of it as well. It is too bad that it took something tragic like this to bring them all together. But it is a comfort and a ‘bright spot’ as Mykelti called it. When we lost my dad soooo much family came and it was very comforting. Ppl I hadn’t even seen in years. I am also glad to hear they have other gatherings and reunions planned. I think she’s right in that garrison would want ppl to move forward in their lives too. Mykelti was really quick to put a video out, and her and Tony had went and picked the little girl up from his parents ,and one of the things she had to say that day coming home right after Garrison killed his self was ,Robin’s crying more than anybody. She didn’t say it like we think of Robin always crying, she said it like poor Robin, as usual you know I mean the cardiac cycle Robin is the most precious thing that walk the Earth. How does Mykelti know how much robins been crying unless Robbins town or I’m crying more than anybody imo

It's just sad ... and there's not much more that you can say, is there? Terribly sad that he got to the point where THAT, and only THAT, was the answer to his struggles.

I don't think Garrison would be happy that the whole family got together. He wanted that when he was still alive.

I am sorry to say this but Kody must have been happy with how tlc portrayed him, the things he said and how he treated his other family ie the jerks

I'm probably in the minority here, but I love happy endings and I just want to see this family reconciled. I hope with all my heart that out of this tragedy, Kody and Robyn can see what they have done to these kids and humble themselves and sincerely ask for forgiveness so that true healing can begin. More than just Garrison needed his dad (I don't like Kody, but he's not my dad). I'm afraid if this family doesn't heal, others may make the same tragic decision that Garrison did. May God make beauty from these ashes.

I have watched all your videos ("on this" - apologies for how that sounds). Thank you. I suppose all human beings are different and having a very fact-driven, analytical brain does not make you wrong or 'bad'. Slamming others in Comments, whose response to poor Garrison's death is to take a more analytical 'cause and effect' type appraisal is plain wrong. "You are NOT ALLOWED" on "this platform" to state the obvious ie a concensus reading of all we've seen over years, via the TV, yes, but also via a SW family member's own social media (meaning we cant blame TLC editing), is NOT ALLOWED to be mentioned now. Garrison liked reality to be airbrushed and a denial of the bad things that family did to him, did he? That's what people are doing by letting his family members off the hook. We can be polite, but honest.

I know ppl feel some type of a way about mykelti and lord knows kody and robyn dont have any fans really. But i get so sick of seeing snide remarks on channels about mykelti and right now robyn and kody. No matter what theyre all grieving they all deserve space and they all deserve grace. When she said she felt better because Garrison was in a better place I had to consciously relax my jaw. Garrison could have been in a better place if he got help and worked at it. He could have been open with his family and I bet they would have surrounded him with love and support. He's not in a better place. He took action to permanently solve a temporary situation, leaving his loved ones to suffer the consequences. Sorry folks, I'm not woke and I believe in telling it like it is. Suicide is selfish!
