Finally opening a box of games I bought from Japan from almost 3 years ago. I forget most of what's inside, except for a couple of them. #mysteryunboxing #retrogames #collection Twitch: / petedorr
The longest recently for me was about 2 weeks. I pre ordered a limited run game and it came. I forgot which game it was but I just put it to the side. It ended up being Castlevania Advance collection.
The self control this man has to shelve a package for YEARS without opening it is astonishing. When I get a notification my package has been delivered, it takes all I have to not drop what I'm doing immediately and open it up!
You know it's an excellent start to the new year when there's an abundance of Pete Dorr videos in your sub box to watch and catch up on. Cheers to another great year of streams and videos, Pete! :)
I honestly think you have a great calm informative style that I find very easy to watch. I always learn something if not many things from each video. Thx
Thanks Pete for listening to the fans and bringing more mystery box videos. Been following you since 2013 and it has been awesome seeing you upload a lot more content to RU-vid in the last year.
I remember getting the VB way back in the day. Loved it, but did give me a headache lol. I sold it when the prices rose, as I didnt play it enough. Defo a cool console.
I feel like I’ve been buds with Pete since forever because I’m now 36 y/o and been watching Pete since I was 21 y/o Love that you brought mystery unboxing back
Mystery unboxings are some of my favorite old videos of yours, and I would love seeing them make a return! I mean, i guess that presupposes that you have more still, but...well, I was happy to see this anyway! It's one of the things that has actually made pack unwrapping on the TCG channel so fun too.
Hi Pete - Happy New Year. I definitely love your unboxing videos - I think you could easily get away with old school style “look what I bought recently” videos it’s always fun to hear your thoughts on the items and why you made the purchase.
Please keep the RU-vid content coming, especially the mystery unboxings! Unfortunately, I am usually unable to check out your streams due to my schedule, so i definitely appreciate the more frequent video uploads.
I LOVE your mystery unboxings! I am so happy when you make a new video, nostalgia and delight! Happy new year Pete! I wish you a happy and healthy 2024!
Not too many are willing to delay the satisfaction of opening a package. Also, you're putting absolute trust in the seller to send what they promised. Still entertaining, but very niche as a concept
A smashing idea this, I'm gonna to do something similar with a bunch of xbox360 games I've purchased over the holiday season and I will put them in a box and open them in 2-3 years. I bet the surprise will be very gratifying upon unboxing as no doubt I would have long forgotten what is in they. Thanks for the ideas for spicing up my collecting.
Your original Virtual Boy collection video was my introduction to Pete's Game Room! I couldn't even focus on the Virtual Boy games with all of the other games in the background. It was definitely the most games that I had ever seen in one place and what inspired me to collect.
Great video Pete. Ive been watching your channel since 2009. Mystery boxes are always cool to open. You just never know treasures you will discover. Keep up the great work bro.
Amazing box! Pete catching them slipping at 3am as always. Definitely chalk up a win for the us box art and design for the Vboy though. The inconsistent jp box art is maddening even with the 1st party N games
Fantastic video Pete! Man I'm impressed you managed to resist the urge to open that lot, what a haul. Love the Japanese Jack Bros, Jack Frost is just so aesthetic you just have to collect his character merch! I know you probably don't answer too many comments but was curious of your thoughts on Song of Nunu? Reminded me of something you would totally dig. Keep up the great work man!
Happy New Year Pete!!! I’ve been watching your videos for years now. I’m so glad to see a mystery unboxing video from you and look forward to more of this in the future.
3DS having Virtual Boy games would have been incredible. Never really thought about it until you mentioned it. Loving this type of content Pete. Happy New Year
😅 i have this in my closet.. i buy something, but i dont know where to put it and then 3 4 years later i find it.. no idea what’s inside 😅 its always fun! Because you know its something you like
Happy New Year! Always love your content, I remember watching your survival horror video recently, just picked up the Resident Evil 1 remaster or remake, and playing through resident evil revelations 1 and 2 now, that video you made let me know about a lot of horror games I never heard of! Love your content as always! I'm looking forward to more videos :)
🤔 I remember you did a video several years ago with your real life hedgehog Sonic you were practically glowing full of life when you shot that 📼, I haven’t seen that Pete for a while with the 🕹 📼 you’ve uploaded to RU-vid from a viewers point of view you’ve got your mojo back long may it continue you look like your in a good place at the moment
i tried it out when it first came out but never bought one. There was only ever 1 or 2 games for it. Although the only game I got to play for it was some kind of spaceship shooter. For it's time, it was quite innovative. Although it was too expensive for most ppl. So it never really took off.
Tomodachi Life on 3DS certainly didn't forget about the Virtual Boy. Waiting for some dear, talented developer to get a proper emulator running on 3DS, with stereoscopic 3D. The current one available is unfinished and subpar, to say the least.
What’s most important is that you love your own collection. Some of the best collections out there are the smaller, curated, personal collections. Size matters not!
I wished for virtual boy games on the 3ds the entire generation. Seemed like such a great move. I currently play virtual boy games through the quest 2, its a good option for people to try out.
Hey Pete - can you do a video on Japan prices like you mentioned? I own a pretty small amount of imports so I’m not super knowledgeable about when the prices there got high / why. Would be great content.
I never played Virtual Boy. What Nintendo should do is release a remaster of some of these Virtual Boy games. It definitely is a console that Nintendo wants people to forget about. By the way, how can you hold off on unboxing a package for almost 3 years? I open up my packages as soon as I get them so that I know it arrived in good condition and everything I ordered is in the box.
Laughed about your comment on Japanese listings. It’s very true, they always take the greatest care of their games, will send you something basically mint condition and still describe it as “acceptable” condition.
I got a virtual boy off Mercari 8-10 years ago and the screen broke as soon as i got it. Then I got a new one and it wouldn’t even boot up. I gave up after that
Im REALLY trying not to be rude, but I think its pretty impressive youve kept your hair. lol I watched your videos a decade ago and thought you were thinning then. Hope I get as lucky as you there
