Intermittent miss fire #2 and #5 not all the time. Could be every day could be once a week could be once a month. Doesn't last all day when it happens. 5 min or 1 hour. It last for. Any ideas
i have 2001 n14 celect plus when i hit bump sometimes get loss of power and check engine comes and off in split second code comes up power supplyelectrical fault what could it be??
I do not know if this still active. I have N14 plus and I have vibration. I have 120k mi on rebuild engine and replace clutch 3 times. Vibration. It is coming from engine side i can feel it on floor than on steering wheel. I replaces intake shaft and pilot and some other bearing, Replaces tires and wheels, did balance couple times and vibration is getting strong, along with that i have some high noise from fuel pump side and engine break has pulsing noise on high speed. I do not want to go to Cummins - they did this engine for $32k and when i ask for this noise wile the warranty was active - they told me it is coming from rear and it is not related with them.
CUMMINS ENGINE, MODEL: NTA-495-MG. The generator was on load, suddenly the rpm started to reduce from 1500 rpm to 1000rpm. then the generator was off loaded and stby generator was taken on load. while investigation found oil carry over in exhaust manifold.
I have a n14 celect engine and its leaking oil from the top exhaust little pipe on the head cover what can it be engine is running awesome just that oil leak
Its normal. If it drips a little. That tube is a crank crase breather tube. Mines always done that and i had an inframe done about 350k miles ago. I've seen other n14 do the same.
Please I replace even all my injector, fuel pomp, check valve, fuel line, and still no start with out staring fuel, now every time check engine come on, And I have to hit the fuel pedal hard for the check engine alarm get off. No mechanic found the problem but they charge me for the time, and the end all they said We don't know what is. PLEASE HELP, PLEASE HELP.
i hope coolaint doesn t come out of that turbo boost sensor port hahahaha missed the engine speed sensor don't recall the exhaust temp sensor as ab input for the e c m its a O E M option on the n !$ model.
