Beyond the Summit - Smash I think it's a wonderful idea. I was a little disappointed, but also really appreciated not having the results spoiled just by seeing the video's length.
@@BTSsmash I think it's a good idea. If you see a 12 minute long grand final you'll know it's a 3-0 or a really fast 3-1. This makes it more of a mystery.

@@BTSsmash Now I no longer have to cover the bottom of my monitor when i move my mouse on accident so I don't see how much video is left. It truly is a great idea, and makes watching the matches a lot more exciting
It all started at the Winners' Finals. Samsora and I thought it would be funny to switch main at Game 1. I don't know that that would cause a butterfly effect.
I don't usually comment on videos, but what you guys did at the end is great and what we've been asking every tournament organizer to do to RU-vid videos for a very long time. Thanks for potentially being the catalyst to a new norm!
@@SZBEK1 isn't that normal in Melee though? One mistake, especially off stage, will likely cost you the entire stock. So I don't know why you're generalizing Ultimate players here.
That reversal is what makes me love smash over every other fighting game. Every decision matter and percent and stocks mean nothing. As long as your opponent is alive you can still lose no matter how one sided it may look.
That's the aspect of the game I dislike about it, too unpredictable lol. But I can see where you're coming from, to a spectator it is a lot more explosive when you don't know when or where someone will just up and lose a stock.
@@blues4509 any game without this aspect is not as fun. take chess for example: it's good because any tiny mistake cost you and big mistakes straight up rip your arms. so long the opponent see them, anyway.
Honestly it wasn't just random, it was completely nairos fault. Why would you waste your second jump to do a long lasting aerial against arsenes invencible recovery?? It gave mkleo enough time to react and punish.
@Patrick Nguyen not really, any fast up b with any kind of armor could easily get around that. G&w, marthcina, charizard, ike, just to name a few. It was too greedy and even he knows that.
I think Leo said he switched to Marth because he tought he could win on battlefield. I think, that move also doesnt let Nairo gain experience on the match.
The end was really nice adding. It's a really nice thing. Even though I've just joined the competitive arena of smash just this weekend, this is a great idea, and you guys should definitely keep this. But also, this set was so entertaining to watch and so close just like some in this tournament! I'm so glad that I followed this tournament as my first ever competitive tournament. Thank you summit so much.
He was coming for nairo. Mainstage run back. GGs to both. Nairo definitely top 5 this season. It's what everyone wanted. Shout out to BTS for the ending. The only tournament that can pull this off, IMO. Now I have another reason to love summit :)
@@spectre7877 Bruh, MKLeo is insane with Joker. Yea Jokers broke but still he's better than them with said character most times. Nairo is a cheesy player cause his main is a carry character. Used to have a lot more respect for him but recently he just looks like a grimey player. Samsora getting to grands is always likely though.
@@bireon878 Bruh the hell you mean I agree with the mkleo is better than them aspect, but nairo was on fire for the tourney and if he hadn't lost game 2 in that fashion he would have taken it he's beaten leo before and it was a momentum based set if I remember correctly also I get some people dont like palu, but the character isn't even that good at the very least not good enough to carry you through top players don't disrespect nairo based off who he plays the man's top tier talent
@@spectre7877 Palutena didn't carry him all the way up there, i know he's a good player too obviously since he's been top of the crop since early Smash 4 but his main definitely makes it a lot easier on him. Nair is essentially 75% of the character no lie and it's safe against most of the roster. He has great matchups against a lot of the roster like cmon. Eventually it's the character choice. Palutena needs a Nair nerf.
Leo adapted so hard from his last set with Nairo, seems he learned a lot about the MU and about Nairo's playstyle. Simply outplayed him most of this set

Brilliant ending there I honestly thought there’s going to be a game 5 where Leo would lose. Heck I bet that extra time will do a lot in grand finals where if Leo won in 40 min, the comments be like “Ah shit here we go again Leo”. But it was actually samsora actually won without a reset
I like these two. It's hard to cheer for just one of them. Nairo's face when he got spiked at the end of the second game... sorry, but it's just too good. :P

I don't think Mkleo switching to marth was not done, because he thought he was up 2-0 and he could just pull it out for fun. In game two Nairo had leo and probs would've won had leo not had that godlike reversal. He wanted to switch to see if that would work better or not. And even if it didn't work better, he get's Nairo's mindset out of the joker game, so that in game 4 it makes it easier for leo. Dabuz actually thought the same thing as well.
the thing at the end is very cool, seeing as length in a set can be spoilers (except for when leon destroyed cosmos back, like damn that was so unexpected)
That Game 2 win here was the best example I've ever seen of what separates the good from the very best on the planet. MKLeo is in his own league and playing chess while everyone else plays checkers. The opportunities he sees while other people are just trying to survive.. he's the best I've ever seen. He's always one step ahead, luring you into a scenario you never saw coming.
exactly my thoughts, the mentality that no matter how against the wall he is pushed, he always has VICTORY on his mentality, the very best gamers are not about dominating in my opinion but to overcome what others can't
The only reason dash attack killed in game one was because it was town and city where blast zones are wider than other stages but the stage is so big that the blast zones aren’t far from it
i feel like leo switching to marth was overlooked a bit. because thats saying, "i feel confident enough to beat you with my secondary and not even my main."

It was wild, but honestly I’d be more surprised if someone lived being spiked that close to the blastzone. I’m sure other spikes woulda done the same that low. I love Leo and Joker, but man I feel Nairos pain there
I really dislike characters with meters. You play even with them for a solid minute and then all of the sudden you have to run away and play super safe or just get f-smashed and die at 60
Philip Shin if u hit Joker he’ll lose some of his meter (arsene). Yes it forces defensive options, but it really depends if u can whiff punish or the joker player can read ur movements like Leo
Love nairo but man people were so butthurt when Leo won and went on to win the whole thing. Idk how you can watch this performance and not be amazed by it

The non spoiler bit at the end is good but honestly if I wanna know something from the video length cool, if I don't I just won't look . Putting that bit at the end kinda just takes away from one side and doesn't chance the other
jerrik peddie result say other wise. Sam has more second place finishes this year and they both have only one S tier. I can see Nairo going up in rank from #8 to #3-4. I can also see Tweek dropping out of top 5 as well as Marrs.

Hell no. Literally everyone had a cloud. Cloud also had no time limit on his meter. Would camp to get meter. His upair combos into itself and finishing touch. His fair,dair,hair,and up air was huge.
