Yes she's so wrong! The name's meaning is important and many consult a pandit who gives you the syllable with which the name should start and it's not just an alphabet either. It could be su or sa or sm and so on. Or traditional names with a regular name as nick name and then there's a naming ceremony ...
I don’t think I like the condescending tone in which you draw pictures of India of names, population, romance etc.. we do have people who celebrate naming ceremonies of kids and romance is ancient idea. 😊
