A good game. Nice to finally see a boss run of it on this channel. By the way, the difficulty here is quite high which is very unusual for games produced by IGA.
I remember seeing my father play this occasionally when I was younger, I can't remember for the life of me where it went but I'd love to find it again and see what it had to offer
Wiki says " The game takes place in 2021" and here we are, the start of the new year... so I wonder where this awesomeness is going on? :) Also 19:03 "I'll grab you!" "No I grab YOU! :P " lol!!
loved this game - thought it got a real bad rap when it came out... the custom combo system was pretty innovative and fun... game journalists were so brain dead back then and there reaction to this and several other games (god hand) made me stop bothering with most game review sites...
DjDedan game journalists is still pretty bad, don't trust them for a single second, "if a game looks interesting, then try it out" is something I like to go by, fellow gamers you play with that might've played said game could tell you if they thought it was good or not :v
Proud to have played this rather obscure game. I remember having to beg my parents to buy this game instead of the already popular PS2 classics like kingdom hearts just because the title "Nanobreaker" sounded cooler. I remember kinda regretting my choice of choosing this game over kingdom hearts due to its difficulty, especially the super stiff controls. (The 3D castlevania games were exceptionally better in comparison.) But I developed a fondness for this game when I started unlocking the better part of the combos and ended up finishing it. Nanobreaker, Steambot Chronicles, and .hack G.U. still remains as the games I love out of nostalgia.
I love this game. I spend over 44hours on this game beating it 20x. So much blood. Had high hope for a prequels or sequels on all the Genocide Heros and its program. But it never happen
Sadly Nanobreaker didn't get enough popularity to be sold well... It would be the great series, cuz Nanobreaker did great on gameplay & storytelling. But since it's Konami's game, like Bloody Roar too. Well... We will never see the continuation of those series. They will be creating mobile games from now on. When they say that consoles are main priority, don't believe them.
Y'know, I always wondered... why is it just the final boss that has a map icon that's like the player's? Still, nice to see this game around, I've had some fun times with it. Even if I feel really dumb now that I know that you can stop Keith's SHINING FINGER SWORD with a grab.
The bosses look similar to Contra bosses, then again this is a Konami game. They are known for having some of the weirdest boss designs in video games.
This game is fun, trust me. Funny is I bought this game like 10 years ago but never play it due to the time I bought it was just a few more days I will go to continue my study. So I don't have a chance to play it. Later on, finished study, got a job and own PS3 and PS4 and this year I finally play this game, because I found this video and I remember I bought it before. It was worth.
Here's How I Feel About This Game: Jake - Jonathan/Charlotte Keith - Loretta Sisters Jaguar - Richter/Maria True Dracula - General Raymond On Nanomachines
Can you please explain how you always manage to kill enemies with one hit after using a harpoon? I got it very rarely. I still don't know when to press the hit button...
The game is good. I really liked its design, and the fact that this is a new franchise. I mean, this is a completely new original universe. Too bad they didn't make a sequel. (loved to flatten enemies with a sledgehammer)
Hm...something wrong coz majority will agree God Hand is way harder. This Nanobreaker is just a game like Devil May Cry and God of War. It has it own hard moment, but not as hardest as God Hand. Both game were good though.

Yeah, I played this for like half an hour back in 2005. also God of War came out just right after this IIRC. That's the reason why the game flopped, I think.
In a sense, yes. The main enemies are called Orgamechs - creatures born from nanomachines that replicated themselves using the iron cells in human blood and turned its hosts into monsters. The computer controlling the nanomachines went haywire and the replication process was unstoppable.
Guess I’m the outlier here but I thought this game was dogshit! I remember being amped up to play it and finally rented it from Block buster I think, or got it cheap at game stop and was super let down.
