Thank you ulaura Scarpelli. Appreciate your comments. I can understand how the lake could still your heart. It’s definitely a hidden gem in the North Carolina Mountains!
I grew up in Robbinsville, and Nantahala is where deer hunted. I've fished Santeetlah, been on Fontana (some), and fished Calderwood. However, Nantahala Lake, with its clear water, and the surrounding "enchanted" mountains, is in a class all its own.
@@GideonHawk-j8i Yes. This region is in the Smoky Mountains which receives rain on a regular basis. July and early August sees the most rain. It's common to get rain every day for two weeks or longer during these two months. All year long, it's rare to go more than two weeks without some rain. It's a great place to test your tent camping gear!
Thank you Willis Anderson! Appreciate your nice comments. That will be awesome. The fall colors on that lake would be Awesome! Hope you have a great & safe trip.
