It's kinda surprising tbh I actually like the Shippuden 2nd half style I just don't think it fits for some scenes the lighting is amazing tho even in the filler episodes where they did PTS stuff looked good.

The newer one is better. Fluidity over details any day.

There was _more_ shadows but that does not make it "better" most of those shadows aren't even accurate nor necessary. Those who want a fully detailed picture should just look at that, pictures. Because animation at its core _aims_ to be simple and clear in order to translate the message. The added shadows won't add anything of substance except non-artists reaction of "ooohhh ahhhhhh, detailsss~" when it's just _shadows_ 💀

The new animation respect the Naruto shippuden style, not naruto. Go open the first tome of naruto before saying something stupide

I like the fact that they reanimated it, but theres just some scenes that look a lot better in the older art style rather than the new one. It just starts looking like the boruto art style

The new ones had some smoother animations and nice design than the original. But I still prefer the original cuz of the old graphic keeps the serious tone of the anime.

The things you're appreciating is the reason for lack in technology. There's no flat colour the texture has less quality. More blurry a picture is less mistakes you see in them.

@@raven.pearce in terms of animation I’d say the old one was smoother. The gaara va rock Lee, Orochimaru vs Sasuke, and Sasuke vs Naruto had buttery smooth animation in the original. Of course because they had Norio Matsumoto. New one looks shinier though

I am dreaming about Naruto remake with no fillers (or at least only with good ones), of course better animation, but most important - without plot holes and with some changed things, like Sakura's and byakugan's uselessness, attention to supporting/secondary characters, alien invasion in form of Kaguya (they could do it better).

Yall deeply underestimate lighting and coloring. I dont think I could watch naruto if it didnt change in Shippuden. As I have gotten older, I find myself not enjoying a lot of the older cartoons I once enjoyed simply because of the lack of color diversity. It makes everything feel flat. Also, more details ≠ better. Often times, older naruto looked messy. The lack of color didnt help that either.

the new one is more detailed the old artstyle looks like that because studios have lesser frames to show and boruto style? even the anime isn't manga accurate to the artstyle(only kawaki vs garou is accurate) the anime artstyle just sucks they have different artists boruto style is the true naruto style if you haven't read the manga(except early parts of the manga since Kishimoto is still adapting) like two arcs of the original naruto only got accurate artstyle and old art style lacks so much emotion, don't make me even start about the hard hit about the censorships since back then early 2000's having gruesome moments to other countries is a rejected project child friendliness just made naruto more and more lose its entire point tbh if my crush just died infront of me in a very corny looking way i'd be laughing so hard that i would even tell kakashi to stab me in the heart too

@@Mineluciousnot really in the context of the show the way some of the scenes look visually are way more impactful in terms of color grading and scenery. the animation in the new one is just much better and looks more crisp. i think the og art style is just more expressive and detailed tho

Og Naruto used to do a lot of fish eye lense camera and cool perspective camera angles. It was sick. Sucks that Shippuden stopped doing that..
