@Jermaine Anthony Yeah but its 2022 people tell all they business now and put all they business on social media. Self snitching seem to be considered cool in 2022
@@jermaineanthony7794 The whole kiss n tell thing is corny but why you acting like it personally affects you or you rlly care? The women he has spoken about are self proclaimed thotties who have been with mad industry cats so big deal. It’s all entertainment
I actually met Keith Murray during the height of his career I met him and his brother Russ. Keith was very approachable and very sociable. Dude literally stayed and signed every autograph.
From his mid 90s manic vibes a la Hostile and especially that first album, you'd have thought he was totally wild to approach. Good to hear he was a down to earth guy...
Keith Murray ain't got no good heart exploiting women that ain't done nothing 2 him, these women has children & I like his music but I lost all respect 4 dude
@@jamaaltaylor3919 that dont mean he dont have a good heart ..its funny how alot of u dudes wanna nit pick at that part as if yall fave rapper dont bragg about bodies in in their music often or better yet alot of you prolly told stories to yall homies about a chick in the past...keith no different he just being real tellin stories like anybody else at least its HIS story
His vocabulary is stellar... The most "vocabulistic" lyricist in hip-hop history 💯💪🏾him n K Solo.... The entire Deff Squad is ILL frfr but Marray the troof🤎🏹🏹🏹
Basically Keith Murray was playing the role was Az in the movie “Belly” when he saw Nas was going to get robbed outside of the barbershop but Az had to leave because he had his 1 Yr old baby with him
These Keith Murray interviews have been EPIC!! Hands down the BEST on the Internet so far this early year!! Murray has GREAT stories and is entertaining to listen to! Dude needs a podcast!!
@@Johnnyblaze-jh5xh We're you there? No Then how do you know what's true? Smh. He was at the house of blues with 2pac and tons of witnesses. He's definitely not lying it's just he's being extra that's all. Keith Murray has always been like this. If you followed him as a fan you would know this. I met son at a show years ago. He was always animated. I think he's on more than weed but possibly bomb ba zee which Lord Jamar mentioned. Keith admitted that in the 90's he was on that shit. If you know you know.
This makes me wonder... what if Keith was about to be robbed and Nas heroically prevented it from happening? That would explain why Nas kept saying "not here!" and would also explain why he never told Keith what really happened. It sounds like Nas knew who the robbers were. Keith was the target, not Nas, but Nas was wrestling with the gunman to make sure they didn't get to Keith. Nas kept this secret to himself because he was cool with both sides and didn't want things to escalate.
I've watched this a million times. I cannot stop laughing every time he says "They got NAS with the bracelet" "It was a close one... it was a close one RIGHT!?" "Yeah NAS it was a close one......."
This happened in 95. Barber Shop is the Hut. Barber is Ty. He was in Belly playin himself. This was a true story that Hype n Nas reenacted in 98. Nas stopped goin there after that. He was too famous to be in the Street like that. This was right before he got bagged for the gun charge in August. Thats why he was holdin. Had the Lex at the time.
Exactly, people forgot Nas wrote the Belly movie. In Hate me now in the third verse he said “Tried stickin' me up, but I flipped on these ducks Instead of me, ambulances were pickin' them up” he’s talking about this incident
Was literally eating popcorn while watching these Keith Murray stories. That's how good they are! Thank you for these laughs Keith Murray and The Art of Dialogue for being a genius to set this up! How did you go from interviewing everybody between the Bad Boy and Death Row camps to squeezing Murray in, nobody will know but I must say it was pure genius to give us these gifts now! Keith has some highly regarded minutiae of what went down during that era!
So many clips in these Keith Murray interviews should go viral. Great job on getting Keith Murray on the channel Hope 2023 is a big year for The Art of Dialogue
He’s already mentioned this. On hate me now in the third verse he said “Tried stickin' me up, but I flipped on these ducks Instead of me, ambulances were pickin' them up”
@@aslaammahdi3244 That's fine...but you weren't using Aramaic, or Hebrew. You used English...and in English when you're speaking about someone, especially God, you use capital letters. I mean...you thought enough to capitalize Keith Murray's name, didn't you? Is God not over Keith Murray?
Keith would be an excellent narrator for TV and movies.. his story telling ability is so impeccable to the point that you can visualize what he's saying.
People laughing at Keith but this happened, I’ve heard about it before + Nas recreated the incident in the movie Belly, people forgot Nas wrote that movie If you look at the barbershop scene in Belly and listen to this interview, it’s the same thing. Keith said it was at the Hut barbershop, the scene in the movie is shot at the Hut barbershop. AZ in the movie would be Keith in real life, and then what happened happened + on Hate Me Now in the third verse he said “Tried stickin' me up, but I flipped on these ducks Instead of me, ambulances were pickin' them up” he’s talking about this incident
the art of dialogue found a hidden treasure with keith murray. keith murray is a gold mine. the art of dialogue needs to get into business with keith murray, like make him a co-host, before some of the other bloggers try to interview him and make him part of their show.
Yo my Boy Keith described the Barbershop and SHIRT KINGS spot to a science!👌🏽💯 Queens reppin to the fullest! Anytime you was around Murray something wild was gonna happen! Facts!
I'm from that era and area so I know exactly where and what he's talking about. Jamaica AV was the place to be. That is where I saw LL at the Thom McAn shoe store and he gave me a look like he was very aware I was in his presence. Onyx before they become Onyx we're barbers at the very barbershop he was talking about. Those were the days, the epitome of New York hip hop culture.
Onyx worked at NuTribe on Guy Brew and Jamaica Ave. The Shop Murray talking about was by the Coliseum. Used to get tattoos done there in the basement of it illegally. This story is all facts. The Ave and the Coliseum block was nothing to play wit in the 90s. Real South Jamaica Queens niggas know.
I'm from Jamaica queens. I used to shop jamaica all the time. I never got robed because I never flash anything. I never were any jewelry like that. Once you wasn't flashing. You were ok. I think those dudes knew who he was.
@@KrishnaSingh-ow1ie So true. I remember Bimmy from Supreme Team fame walking by himself with the biggest gold rope ever. I remember saying to myself "Ok, he's no one to play with" We even want to the same high school.
@@AllFlavorsEnt You are right about everything. I lived on Hollis Ave so I moved in silence when shopping anywhere around Jamaica Ave in those times. 😂!
It’s because it is that scene in Belly. If you look at the barbershop scene in Belly and listen to this interview, it’s the same thing.
I ain't listened to this yet but I'm already in stitches laughing my ass off. The way he describes things is so hilarious. Like Biggie used to describe things in his songs
keith murray is one of the only guys who can take a youtube channel that's dedicated to 2pac and turn it into a complete show of his own. the way that this man tells story is some of the best stuff ever..he needs to be a regular guest and asked questions about everyday events just to hear his opinion on everything lol. keith murray is so far the mvp of 2023 interviews lol
Belly is based on an original story written by Nas. In reference to Keith Mary's barbershop scene. (True). The houses and vehicles used in Belly all belonged to the artists in real life. The instant classic stars DMX, Nas, Method Man and more. It was directed by the legendary Hype Williams .
It’s like watching a “human cartoon” lol. I got 5-6 stories with him out here in Detroit/Highland Pk. Our stories happened within 7-8 hours & involves Ole English 800, the Michigan State police, shoplifting & Keith singing Tj Swan’s part from MC Shan’s “Left Me Lonely” very loud in a Highland Pk party store on Woodward 😂
The ironic thing is that the barbershop he’s referencing is the same shop from the movie “Belly” where Nas’s character gets into a shootout. Right down the street from the colosseum mall.
