This is my Kansas Cup setup, capable of 30.5 lap times, very stable. Kansas is brutal on tires!!! This setup is not great on tires, but considering it's Kansas, the tire wear isn't too bad!
This setup worked perfectly with my driving style and allowed me to run the high line just how I like too! Tremendous job explaining the lifting points too as that helped a lot!
Man!!! Finally, after a month or so if practice...I ran a 30.795. Still only put me in 8th but I'm running hardest AI and no assist on controller. I know other people are faster but just wanted to let you know your setup has me inching closer to 30.5
Oh, i tried hard, round for round, on the setup, cause of the right front tire wear. In the end i ended with lowering the front weight to 48.5. But i'm allways run the inside turns. I will give your setup a try. Thanks for sharing.
Your set ups are fast as advertised! They take some getting used too but on my first timed lap with this set up I instantly beat my best time at Kansas by .5 of a second!
I’ve hated on some of these set ups and I apologize bc nobody else online is even coming close to these. I just wish some of them were better or had alternatives for controller players. I’ve learned that if u adjust them a bit u can be just as fast if not faster
Dropped the wedge one tick to help me run the bottom through traffic, and she glides beautifully. 30.55 on the outside with controller, 30.48 on the inside.
Car starts strong on short runs .. but loses it about 20 laps in I'll go from holding off 1st to battling for 10th .... Any ideas on the long run ? Any any suggestions on in race adjustment to help... ( Car would lose grip seemed worse them other a.i. And really where I got beat the most was corner exit ... Any ideas man ??? Love you your channel btw ... Completely made me a different racer... Alot more confident to crank the difficulty all the way up !! Keep it up man !
I somehow missed this comment, and I'm very late in responding. I apologize, normally I try to respond within a day, two at the most, so I'm sorry for responding so late. This setup was one of the first ones that I did when this game came out. I've learned a lot since then, and I can definitely help with a setup that will be better on the long runs. Several changes here.... move the front weight and wedge to about 52.5 for each. Max out all of the springs, 1,200 in the front and 600 in the back. Run the left side tires at 22-25 and the right sides in the mid 50s. Run the sway bar at either a 1.675 or 1.775. This really helps the loose off condition as the tires wear. If the sway bar is too stiff, you'll notice a violent shake/wobble in the corners. If this happens, either go down on the sway bar or go up on the front bump and rebound settings. Finally, run the track bars at between 14-15. These changes should help the car on the long run, especially with the corner exit, and you should still be just as fast on the short runs. Hope this helps!
If you are wondering, it was me, hamlin, logano, and Kurt busch about .5 back. Hamlin , Logano and I were within .3 of each other, and on the last lap, I got loose in the middle of 2. That ended my chances, but logano won by 3 THOUSANDS OF A SECOND
I try to run the high side and I'm killing the right front tire with this setup. Any ideas? I start out running 30.60s then on the long run I'm so loose thru the middle trying to run up high that I literally spin out
Sounds like there might be too much camber on the right front tire. Check the tire temps. If the inside tire temp is a lot hotter than the middle, then try running less camber, by "less" I mean closer to 0.00. Move the camber 4-5 clicks and see if that helps. This will help save the right front tire and also help with the loose condition. If this doesn't work, let me know, and I can give you some other adjustments to try.
My goal time on Kansas is 32.128 and I’m running high 33’s so what setup can I run to get as close to my goal time as possible and I’m using a wheel on my ps4.
If your goal time is 32.128 in the Cup Series, then you're either running with assists turned on, or you're in Career Mode and driving a 3 star or 4 star ride, or both. If you've got assists turned on, I'd suggest turning them off, or lowering them. The assists make the car easier to drive, but slower, especially on the straight stretches. If you're not comfortable turning the assists all the way off, you can run "Custom" assists and lower them to your comfort level. If you're in a 3 star or 4 star ride, I'd suggest changing the rear end gearing, by going to a higher number on the rear end ratio, to get more RPMs out of the engine. I hope this helps! Good luck!
I'm not sure if I can help out here, but I'll try. First, if you're running any assists, turn them off, and you'll go much faster. I'm also not all the way off the gas in turns 3 & 4. Also, if you start turning the wheel, just an instant before you let off the gas, it helps you get into the corner better.
@@theset-upman3500 this ^ I didn't realize I had assists on this entire time. I turned them off and picked up seconds on my laps. Thank you so much, love your setups
@@dalependarvis6457 I will send you a friend request on XBox. Maybe we can run some laps together later on today or tomorrow and you can send me a screenshot of your setup.
I cant get anywhere near the speed you do and it’s driving me crazy! I play on a controller on hard mode with no driving assist. Why can’t I get straight line speed ?
Good, but not great. It's Kansas, so I don't know that you'll find any setups where the tire wear is truly great. Also, this is based on running the topside. If you run the bottom, the tire wear will be much worse!
@@racingrai7820 Yes, but it depends on a lot of factors. How hard you're racing other cars, your driving style, etc. It can make it through a fuel run, but you will definitely be in single digits on your RF.
@@theset-upman3500 First of all I love this setup but the only thing that is killing me is my tire wear, I can’t make it through a fuel rum on 3x wear. I have a league race tonight and based off practice tire wear is going to cost me. Only changes I’ve done is moved the right track at ti 11.75 and increased wedge to 51.8. Any suggestions?
