Mark Martin is a retired NASCAR driver who drove from 1981-2013. While making the most starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, He finished 2nd in Cup Series championship points 5 different times. Also Martin is 2nd on the Xfinity Series all-time winners list. He spent time behind the wheel of race cars for 24 different teams across all of NASCAR. Including Roush Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and Michael Waltrip Racing.

And his greatest achievements and misfortunes. | Achievements 1997 - Winston 500 - Talladega - (Race Record set at 188:354 MPH) 2002 - Coca Cola 600 - Charlotte - (Winston No Bull $1,000,000 bonus) 2005 - All-Star Race - Charlotte (Winning another $1,000,000 bonus) | Misfortunes 1990 - Miller Genuine Draft 400 - Richmond - (Won the race but penalized of an illegal carburetor spacer, losing points) 1999 - Pepsi 400 - Daytona - (Blows a tire during practice which lead to injury. Broken wrist and bent knee) 2002 - Pop Secret 400 - Rockingham - (Runner up finish that lead to a penalty of an illegal spring that dropped him points in the championship)
