This fight was just 4 miles from me, in the middle of nowhere in the most rural part of England in Somerset. Although, it took place 4 months before I was born.
19:25 One of my all-time favourite Naseem moments. Those stalking, snappy jabs followed by that crisp counter to put Angeles down was perfect timing and execution..
Man would have been even more devastating if he threw combinations instead of single shots. That made him easier to counter against better competition like Barrera.
Wait, according to trolls, I thought Nas never fought any real competition. This dude is a beast. Look at how many fights he's fought by 21. I just binged all of Nas' fights. Yes. There are a few journeymen and one Mexican guy that might have been doing landscaping and took the fight bc he needed extra cash. However, go through Mike Tyson's fights. In his epic run, there are a few guys that are substitute gym teachers and random schmucks. One fighter CLEARLY takes a fall bc Tyson doesn't hit him (look it up....you'll see who). Look at Deontay Wilder's early fights. They heavily padded his record and the fight videos are intentionally crappy quality. Prince Naseem commanded attention. And was actually respectful to his opponents in terms of thanking them after the match and not taking cheap shots. Yeah, I'm saying Prince Naseem was a legendary boxer with an unduplicated style that yielded an almost perfect record. He understood boxing isn't just two guys fighting outside a pub... it's entertainment! You want proof that Naseem is a legend? We are commenting on HIS fight video. Look up the view counts for Klitschko's fights. We aren't watching his boring stuff. Or 60% of Mayweather's fights.
Hell yeah that’s what I’m talking about . Exactly Hamed is a legend and one of the best featherweights of all time.. undefeated and reigned defending his title 16 world title fights.. no one fought like him . Since his very first pro debut fight he came out like he was a somebody already and he backed it up always..everyone is all worked up over a defeat by Barrera yet Hamed came back and still won a title his next fight. And yet people clown him all because RU-vid shows dumb videos of him with the titles being when cocky fighters lose or some shit like that .. fucken stupid one loss and he gets clowned on.. wtf biased bullshit and only the real boxing fans know he is and will always be a legend and a great in the featherweight division and boxing period and should go down in history
Barrera has a similar record too. Look at his first 40 fights especially. Barrera fought guys who either had very short careers or had bigger losses than wins. Hamed had fought better opponents than Barrera did in their first 40.
@@umranafzal2969 not to mention barrera had everything going perfectly for him that night, and prince was showboating way too much. He also barely missed a lot of huge bombs that would have taken barrera out. Basically what I'm saying is luck was on barrera's side that night. big time.
Prince Naseem was already in his prime in this fight. By the time he started fighting in the US he had already peaked & begun a fast & steady decline. Still, Barrera never had him hurt & also the largesse of the fight got the better of him; he completely forgot to attack Barrera's body & head hunted the entire fight. This wrong strategy played in Barrera's favour.
He was the Prince ... He entertains us with his movements... And his wonderful Marwaja... And I was wondering why he didn't protect me. Face... But when I was.. I see his quirks... I understand what the reason is.
Naz was the best without doubt! The only time he faulted was when he left ingle and didn't put time in the gym. By all accounts when he was in camp for barrera they couldn't get him in the gym!
Yes defo. Was sitting on 40 million, had a family by the time he fought barerra. Didn't have the fire 🔥 anymore. Dangerous puncher though who carried KO power through the whole 12 rounds. 5ft 3 ish 8 stone and could take out a middleweight
Nah, Naz was a great talent with the power of a middleweight but that unorthodox Brendan Ingle style always gets found out against elite level opponents. Herol Graham was another great talent and the originator of that style but he never won a world title, Naz got as far as he did because of his punching power.
@@davidscott2771 yes I agree still think he could of done more still people keep saying he could of beat Barrera if he trained I don’t think so he got well outboxed.
First of all Hamed was a world champ and held two belts and defended his title 16 times .. he’s a fucken legend and one of the best featherweights of all time .. and your stupid
