The song is a rock masterpiece and its the essence of what true classic rock is all about, at 60 it still gets me going, feet, head and hands...I LOVE THIS FRICKIN SONG
Ya right on, I love this song too! Great lyrics, rhythm, vocal- it's all great and it makes ya feel good because most people can relate to the message! Great song, great album that Hair of the Dog! Perfect for these changing times no funny pun intended really!
Definitely. This album was ahead on time when it came out. It really sounded like that through all these decades. A lot of people got this record because of the ballad "love hurts" and got shocked with the rest of the tracks. It should be one of the 5o rock albums of all times.
My first experience hearing metal, which is what i call it.Pretty heavy for the 70's.I was 8 or 10 maybe. My sisters boy friend and me and her going to taco bell in Austin Texas. He had a chevelle and an 8track in it.Different times for sure.It was hair of the dog,and i had never heard anything like it.
This is the first riff I ever played the first time I picked up a guitar in 1976 at age 7. My dad heard me playing it and freaked out! Immediately took me to a music store and bought me a stratocaster.

Some topics too big for modern expression are handed out by a Julie art as assignments similar songs include titles like "public enemy #1" best top 40 winds he he
Yes, they were the first heavy-metal Christian band and they rocked and I seen them in concert but this song changing times keeps getting faster you don’t realize it that’s what makes this song so unique
And because of this song, I got way too many speeding tickets back in the 70s matter fact the cop that pulled me over the first time with this song playing, asked me to give me the cassette and destroyed it on the street. That’s what unique about this song you don’t even know it.
People who aren't cool will never get it. You can't buy, sell or trade cool. It's giving for the better of joy of everyone around. But be careful. You can't be to cool. Only the coolest will know this phrase...... If I were any cooler, I'd be dead.
The "Hair of the Dog" alone should be enough to get Nazareth into the Rock and roll hall of fame. The organization prefers to induct Dolly Parton instead.
I'm almost 65 iv listened to this since 1975 and I don't have a clue? I have studied Mannys production on the album. I do wish that I could hears Dan's vocals more prominent, to see if it sounds better? I love the dueling guitar's, but it's a bit of a studio illusion, since Manny is the only guitarist on the album. I am curious about what's very 'unique' ?
