As a guard, hands up. I'm only 6'1" and usually the best defender on the court. Certain animations call for block attempts, but getting block happy leads to too many fouls
I use Lt, Rt, and R3 on defense. People. Master all 3 buttons. Best way to lock Dow the paint is to make the big man work to get near the rim. Pick up the big man at the free throw line and tire him out.
Any advice for guarding these slashing playmakers hopping right around you with HOF fancy footwork and slithery finisher? I have good defensive ratings and gold badges, but my guy usually just flails with hands up while they're already behind me dunking!
I just started and I swear everytime I try inside defense I either get blown by or get a 3 second violation. I leave the paint to avoid the 3 sec next thing I know he passes it out of the paint and bang 3 seconds. Or I am guarding him then have to leave the paint and next thing I know he is flying past me with a flashy dunk. My Payer is also a Center. Any suggestions.
rac2873 When your guy is on the perimeter and he is not a shooting big (Drummond, DeAndre, Capela) then just sit on either of the blocks. You are also allowed to have one foot in the paint and you won’t get the call. If they are a shooting big (Porzingis, AD or Embiid) then you want to stay near the free throw line so you are close enough to the paint to protect it and you can contest their shots because big men releases are usually slow.
No lie this the only problem I have on play now online dude just run into the paint and do a layup you just either it’s a foul or they score no in between
