Sudhir Kakar so what. The reason the league became legitimate was because of how the league developed under him. He was the first star power the league had ever drawn. The first ounce of skill the league had seen. The first real bigman that all bigmen after would follow his blueprint. Why do u think coaches still teach the Mikan still still a whole century later? All of your favorite players started learning the game with the blueprint that Mikan laid out. The fundamentals of the game come from that man. The rule changes that would start to improve the league in the coming years didn’t start with chamberlain. They started with Mikan. The era he played in is irrelevant. It’s about his accomplishments and the legacy he left. Don’t take the game for granted.
@TheIcemanthomas
@TheIcemanthomas 3 года назад
Sudhir Kakar your view of the game is casual. If u aren’t a true fan and student of the game, then I don’t expect u to understand. I can’t teach respect for the game at its basic fundamental level. Either you care to widen your scope of appreciation, or you don’t. End of story. Have a nice day.

Most likely, Wilt had to explain to the young Jordan how rules were made to benefit Jordan and Jordan dominated, the NBA made rules against him and Kareem specifically, Wilt still dominated as did the Captain...I consider those 2 guys superior to Jordan, they both were multiple sport playing athletes their entire lives until they became NBA players....I started watching the NBA in late 70s, seriously around age 10, 1983ish..Wilt retired in my birth year 73, but Kareem was in like his 10 year by the early 80s, he continued to be the leader scoring for the Lakers for another 5, 6, 7 years...watch lew in Milwaukee, he was mean and a fucking beast.
