The people who try to elevate LeBron over Jordan and Kobe, most of them are non-players. THE PLAYERS know!

@@impairedthoughts4701 okay over anyone is a stretch. Lebron is a good player. Don't get it twisted he's not in my top 4 but he is eligible for somewhere in the top ten. He's that good. I just don't like the pass first basketball. Even though he made amazing shots alot of them. He doesn't force it like Kobe did, or dominate like MJ or Wilt/Kareem. But to be fair to Bron the competition is very different from any of the decades before him.

@@impairedthoughts4701 I get where your coming from till some extend but he has become a better shooter. He is far from as technical as a Kobe or MJ, but because of his size and strength he doesn't have to be. He will never have the win at any cost mentality. I just don't think he cares about the game in the same way those two did. But to be fair to Lebron I don't think anybody ever did. Bird came close maybe, but still not like MJ and especially Kobe. (cause MJ was more physically gifted). Lebron's basketball will never be as exciting or pretty as an MJ or Kobe to me so there I agree. Still a great player though. Just not my cup of thee as a player.

The way MJ and Kobe talked about their failures - this is how a winner talks, this is how a competitor talks, this is how a leader talks! Humble and mature enough to acknowledge your shortcomings and use those as a catalyst for personal growth and as a basketball player. Not running away from being held accountable by numerous excuses or throwing your team mates under the bus. Simple as that. Integrity! Earning the respect of the others by your actions and the energy you put on the court not by asking for it! And that's why those two and the likes of Bird and Magic are still more respected and loved by many after more than four decades.

Correct. Only with failure and recognition of it that we are able to learn, to develop and achieve higher level. Never seen LeBronze to do that. It's always someone else's fault. For me LeBron is a great player but he ain't top 5. I just can't have him above MJ, Kobe, Magic, Kareem or Bird. I just can't.
@zakkg5497
@zakkg5497 5 месяцев назад
@@jorgenorberto293 Same here. I can't have a guy top 5 that never developed his game or at least came with a simple move or a shot that he can rely on. And with aging his shortcomings become more and more obvious. He has games that if he doesn't dunk his FG% in the restricted area is less than 50 and that makes him a liability especially in clutch time. If you look at other greats, they all have a signature move or shot. Kareem with his unguardable hook, MJ and Kobe with the fadeaway, even AI who is not considered in the goat debate at all has the cross-over. What is Lebron known for? Same tomahawk dunk he's been doing for 20 years? But he's a pass first player...still he's no Magic or Stockton or Kidd

Michael Jordan has his share of admirers but my goodness Kobe Bryant went to the extreme of being the closest like him a clone indeed, impressive 6-0,5-2 in NBA Finals one never lost,the other rarely lost nearly as good. I liked Kobe better,my generation the 1970s but Michael admitted Kobe might be the one person who can beat him 1 on 1.

it's always gonna be MJ, Kobe, Magic/Bird and some elite players after them, but definitely not Leflop in the conversation. Don't understand why the media peeps trying to put leflop in there, that dude is a mediocre playing in a watered down era. Been watching bball for decades and i know this dude is not in the top 10 greatest players ever. Don't care what this mediocre, microwave generation kids think. My eyes don't lie.

A lot of people don't get why we say that Lebron isn't on that level with MJ, or Kobe, or even great players like Magic, Bird, Kareem, especially Wilt, Shaq, Hakeem, Wade, and Duncan. I'll take a prime Dirk over a prime Lebron 10 timese out of 10, and that should not be the case if Lebron was really what the media makes him out to be. It has nothing to do with Lebron's talent that limits him. It's his mindset, and his lack of willingness to constantly improve his skillset. It's the way he deals with adversity, and failure. He will never be the best he can be until he changes his entire mindset, and now at 39 years old, it's too late for him to make those changes. In Lebron's mind, it's all about him, and not in the same way as an MJ or Kobe. For MJ and Kobe, they had enormous ego's, but they knew they had a responsibility to do everything in their power to win, and not just do well individually, but make their team better. Lebron thinks the world owes him something. "HE want's his respect". He wants everything that comes with being a winner, but he doesn't want the responsibility of being a winner. He wants to stack the deck in his favor, and then say he carried his team to victory. That's not to say Lebron hasn't had great performances, or won championships, and been successful. He definately has, but when his team is down, and adversity really strikes, when all hope seems lost, Lebron gives up before the game is even over. It's always great to move on to the next game when your team loses, but while the game is still being played, I don't care if your down 20 or 30 points, you keep trying to win the game. You don't start bitching to the refs, and not getting your butt down the court in transition because you're busy arguing about a missed call, or a call you thought you should have gotten from the ref. That's not what professional winners do when they are at work. Lebron doesn't view the game aas his job. He views it like he is King of the NBA, and he should get what he wants because he is Lebron James. That's why he will never come close to touching the greatness of a Kobe Bryant, or an MJ, and that's why Lebron isn't nearly as skilled, or as impactful as those players. He doesn't put in the same amount of work, and discipline that they did. Great players don't ever coast through a season, even with a stacked team, especially when they are winning, and preparing for a playoff run. This load management crap is complete nonsense as well. Bigger, stronger, faster my ass. This is the weakest generation of human beings I have ever seen in my life in the NBA. Lebron won more regular season games with the Cavs in his first stint in Cleveland than he ever did with his Superteams, yet those rosters are talked about as being terrible, and Lebron was supposedly the only guy on those teams that could do anything at all. Those 2,000's Cavs teams were constantly making deep playoff runs every year, and they were always a top seed in the East at that time. It was actually Lebron who struggled a lot in the post-season for those teams when they had a chance to compete for championships. If those rosters were really that bad, they wouldn't have won 60+ games, and been expected to make a run for the championship each season. Those so-called superteams that Lebron has played with over the years always coasted through a weak East, and took their success for granted. Those Miami Heat teams, and those Cavs teams should have been winning 60+ games every season, but they viewed the regular season, and the Eastern Conference playoffs as a formality. When they met a real team in the Finals against Golden State, they were usually embarrassed, and outclassed because they had spent the entire season coasting, and they didn't believe they could win when they were down. 2016 was a crazy exception where everything went just right for the Cavs to forge a comeback with the help of the NBA brass. That championship was more about the Warriors losing that Lebron's Cavs winning. The 2020 championship was another crazy asterisk. I don't even consider the 2020 season to be a real NBA season. That's a covid championship, and a Disney bubble ring. What have the Lakers done every other year of Lebron's tenure with the Lakers with the exception of 2020? It proves that Lebron can't hold Kobe's jock strap.

@@donavonhoward114 cavs did make a run in his first time around but the east wasn't really that stacked like the west was.. Lebald Lames is the most overrated in NBA history. Those rings he has are thanks to those players that carried him Wade,Bush,Ray, Love ,Kyrie... those players got him his rings.

Indeed you are biased, Kobe made 7 finals in 10 years, winning 5, 3 without Shaq, shaq was better than him in 1 season in terms of scoring, he won the Ring without a top 75 player on 2 occasions, didn't jump teams, was in all star for 19 seasons, defensive team of the season 15 times, was a great scorer, perhaps the best, led USA team to two olympic golds This is greatness, remember, Kobe had lesser physical gifts than Jordan, most current day players idolise Kobe, and even players from other sports, even Jordan says he's the only guy who could beat him
