This game was my first ever experience of NBA outside of the players in Space Jam (I’m not from USA so it wasn’t on TV). I had it randomly on a demo disk and these two teams were the only teams I could play as so this is really nostalgic
This was one of the best NBA Lives that came out and one of the last great NBA Live games. Hell I played this game recently, and it's actually better than NBA 2k14. Some of the developers of this NBA Live later left Ea Sports and worked on NBA2k games.
Totally agree bro... I still play live 2000... I love the fact and you can also tone down players shooting and make it play realistic... EA shoulda just kept this game engine and polished it up, instead they tried to re-invent the wheel and it all fell apart...
Its a nice game and Im not knocking your opinion cause your free to have it but damm it's better them nba 2k14 tho! lmao But that's you're opinion i can't knock it but i don't agree.
The dunking in this game is ridiculous... they made it looking like NBA Jam dunks going up way above the rim and backboard... it looks so silly... NBA Live 98 on PSX was the best one... it was a drastic upgrade over 97 on so many levels... player facial detail, TBS broadcast license/announcements, fade-away/lean jumper, control passing, rim physics... The team that did Live 98 really worked hard because after that it just got sloppy
The gameplay was excellent, the best ever maybe; just look at the way the team controlled by the CPU runs the plays. I had so much fun playing this game like 5 or 6 years.
This game was out at the same time the first NBA 2k was out on dreamcast but I didn't have a dreamcast so I was stuck with this NBA Live 2000 for PS1. I was in college during this time, so I always had to go to a friends dorm room to play 2k because he had a dreamcast lol. I liked NBA Live 2000 because it was the return of Michael Jordan.
@@ZaneGrayMusicMaster1 I was just talking to my friend about how I've been hearing a lot more sax in music lately. Things might be looking up for you haha
so my team in this game was the Kings. There was a sweet spot on the baseline and i could dunk every time with Webber. other than that I would just drain threes with peja, turkoglu, white chocolate, and nick anderson. I may have had a 95% win against my buddies.
I used to play nba live 2000 so much when I was lil .....Iused come home from school to play this shit life was so much easy when you was lil, I used to create player my dad and make him beat everybody in the game include Mj .. I made my dad 99 overall lol .....
why did you not put Steve Kerr and Sean Elliott at the start team? You would have 3 good players (considering Mario Ellie) at 3 pt shoot out, plus Tim Duncan and David Robinson for rebounds, dunks, and so on..
@@ZaneGrayMusicMaster1 I'm so confused about my comment... idk if you spelt Knicks wrong or what lol. P.s. damn it's been 7 years since I used this channel
@@ZaneGrayMusicMaster1 i can feel that bro. i honestly like the new nba live(s) over the new 2k(s). but my first basketball game was nba live 96 so i can't be biased lol.
