The NCAA could end all this in five seconds. Get rid of labels. Change mens and womens sports to xy and xx sports. Don't ask the vague question, "Are you a man or woman?" Simply ask, "Do you have xy or xx chromosomes?" Bam! Case closed.

Why don’t college women abandon the NCAA and return to the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW)?

In full support, but just one question and possibly a modest suggestion. I realize the lawsuit is against an institution. but like the CDC, DOD, FDA, WHO, WEF, etc ... institutions and laws are abstract constructs behind which self-entitled sociopaths hide and act in their own self interest. Is there any way in which specific people behind these obscene policies be named? Putting a name and face on corruption goes a long way towards effectively combating it.

Like Kara Dansky, I am a left wing feminist Democrat who agrees with Riley Gaines and other female athletes who against men competing against females or having access to private women only spaces. I cannot believe the amount of family and friends who argue with me that allowing men who have a transgender condition into our sports and spaces is not discriminatory against women. I write to Democratic politicians regularly to voice my dissent regarding the DNC's pathetic position on this subject. I am not a birthing person or a chest feeder. I am a mother, because I gave birth to a human being. Mother is a female title, and I'm proud to own it.

A majority of Americans stand with your right to equal treatment under the law. Be steadfast. Your courage in a time of institutional cowardice is an inspiration to others.

As a female athlete from the early days of Title IX, I am stunned that these young women are facing this battle. Your courage and commitment are inspiring. Thank you for fighting for all our daughters.

I completely sympathize with a person struggling with gender dysphoria, and hope they're able to find peace via whichever treatment they need, however we do not compete in sport on the basis of gender - we compete on the basis of sex. The reason sex was recognized as an important differentiator in sport in the first place is because it is a REAL indicator of ability and outcome. Sports have never been differentiated by gender. This conflation is the entire problem.

As a woman, born in the 60's and an athlete from the time I was 3....throwing a baseball in the yard with my dad, and a previous physical education teacher, I have been through the fight for equal treatment in sports. Fighting for uniforms, equipment and gym time. This is not the time to go backwards!!! Keep fighting! It is worth it. Women's sports are for women! Biological women! If a group can’t define what a woman is, then there is obviously no differences and we should just have everyone compete in one big group. There were several reasons for the different restrooms, locker rooms, and sports.

One issue that these women didn't expand on was that the NCAA decisions and policies didn't only impact their athletic life. The implementation of these policies caused mental and emotional distress that directly affected their ACADEMIC performance as well, making it harder than it needed to be and already was as a student athlete to obtain their education/degrees. By it's very nature, the NCAA should be ensuring that ACADEMIC success is protected for the STUDENTS making money for the colleges and the NCAA.

I am a huge supporter and believer in equality. Having said that, the simple fact is that 'trans women' simply have an underlying physiological advantage over "women' when it comes to sports. No matter how early one chooses to transition from male to female, simple genetics promotes different growth of all parts of the body. Hormonal manipulation isn't going to change things to the extent that equalises the performance abilities between 'women' and 'trans women'. Allowing trans woman to compete in any women's sport ultimately places (and I am not sure of the correct term here so my apologies) those 'birthed' as female in a position where they may as well stay at home. The opportunity for women to compete and win is non- existant.
