The Necromorphs are even creepier when you realise that the creators literly went through photos of car crash victims to better portray the look of a disfigured monster. Also just FYI, in the menu of the first game there are pictures of a decomposing goat. Where did they get them? Did they search for them on the internet like a sane person(as much sane as somebody searching for dead goats)? No, they bought a dead fucking goat and filmed while it was decomposing in their studio and put it into the game. Just in case the necromporphs themselves didn't give you nightmares
Genki Dama Trunks Maybe we should stop blaming the company because companies are corporate evil, they always have been and will always be. Maybe start blaming people who are the ones that keep buying in their bullshit instead of actually Doing something to make them know that we don’t put up with that shit anymore.
Dead Space gives me q feeling I can't even describe. A part of me wants to explore the ship and the colony to find out more about the infection and another part tells me to get my shit together haha. This series has a theme of mystery and horror unlike any other and that's why I love it
Criminally underrated series, deadspace legit gave me a feel of dread and fear as a kid and even as a young adult. But thanks for this FilmComics can’t wait for the Solanum virus explained I’m sure those who haven’t read about it will be awed
In order to transform into one, first you must die. So you won't feel anything probably. They are reanimated from the dead, hence the name - NECROmorph
I'm order to be infected you need to be completely dead, which is why the infector stabbes the brain to inject its fluid so it kills you instantly, a live host can't be transformed. Only exception was the Feeders but their transformation was slow and gradual and they didn't feel much since they lost their minds
Please do a video going over the different types and what their role is. Also, check out the Blackwing virus from Star Wars? It's heavily featured in the book Death Troopers. Great content, keep it up!
I always have to laugh when I realize, that our German government was totally okay with brutally dismembering humans taken over by some alien parasites in Dead Space, but thought it was too brutal to show zombies being torn into pieces by bullets in Left 4 Dead so they cut the gore out of Left 4 Dead but left Dead Space totally untouched...
I’m a geneticist and I Love your videos, especially when it has to do with fictional diseases. Would also love to see a video going into more detail about the different necromorphs. Keep up the good work
Just a fyi fact necromorphes never actually die as long as the marker is outputting the signal, if the host can no longer be a foot soldier and deemed to destroyed to be used in making a bigger necro, it decays and becomes the corruption which is part of the main outbreak
I don’t think you could even call it death either since It’s not really a life form, more like a puppet that’s that’s disregarded/disconnected when it’s no longer useful and is then recycled.
The game was a good even though I never played it as I had seen my brother play it and I ended up having nightmares for months after watching him. It really scared me to death due to the necomorphs jumping out of air vents to kill the survivors.
Dead Space. One of the truly great video games that have a story so well done that it should have been created into a movie in the same genre as great films like Aliens or the Event Horizon. If the creators of this game E.A. didn’t bungle up their pay to play business with turning online games into casino’s for children spending their parents credit cards on the chance to win new game art on their body armour, and then creating additional game content that you can download to see additional levels or complete the game....well if they didn’t cause all of that mess to happen then E.A. Could have rolled this entire franchise into a feature film! They got greedy and now E.A. is now known as a creator of video games that is constantly looking for ways to swindle their customers credit cards instead of just creating a decent franchise property. Alas, this game has such a great story that it could have easily been made into one scary horror film! The 20 minute animé that were made as spin-offs from the game are great examples of what a movie could have been! Well ok there may have also been one anime spin-off that was a stinker also, but forget about that one! A great game, a great story with a protagonist that you actually care about since you play as him and controls that are fantastic and monsters that are truly terrifying. Those are the ingredients of one excellent video game with a great story. Now if only someone like Ridley Scott (Aliens+Bladerunner) or another director with similar experience we’re to get to make a movie out of this great game/story then we would have one more fantastic and original story movie series on our hands! There just aren’t enough Sci-Fi horror movies in the world and there have never been many, and there have been even fewer still that were good horror Sci-Fi movies that succeeded. I don’t know if it’s E.A. that screwed that part up or not (E.A. probably screwed up) but this should have had that movie made many years ago. If I had to guess, I still think that it will be converted into a movie in the next 5 years or so, but I wish E.A. would stop screwing around with their customers credit card numbers and instead get down to business and make this movie properly! Enough ranting on my disdain for E.A., I want to give this game full props for being one of the best Sci-Fi horror games ever created. Many hours did I sit on the edge of my sofa gripping my controller tightly as I would attempt to finish just one more level staying up very late running on the adrenaline that the scares would provide me with.
I could not have said it better...great times were had while playing in the dark, volume turned up, and extra pairs of panties on the table next to me for the constant shitting of my pants that I did while playing this game. As a huge fan of the Aliens franchise, it would have been great to have Ridley Scott turn the game into a movie...E.A. should be ashamed of themselves for ruining what could have been a great movie experience for everyone...
I remember playing the first Dead Space I had to pause every couple seconds to calm down from being so scared that something was going to jump out from around the corner and kill me but at the same time this game cured me of being afraid of almost any game
FilmComicsExplained I can see it It's always scared me that there is no other plans life out there ...which as far as I know that's the case in dead space, they have to go dark... Damn the sounds in the vents of DS 1 [Shudders] Or the baby in a dryer sound I'm pretty sure I heard in 2
So many people hate DS3, but I absolutely love it! It was great being able to play through the game with a friend, and I really enjoyed the reveals towards the end of the game :D
Omg i absolutely love the dead space series and would love to see a video dedicated to the necro morphs, all other youtubers that make different type of necromorph videos aren't good or competent enough but ur really good with your narration. Love ur voice, plz make vid, i love you.
Gattsu Brando . Yeah man there are books for Dead space, Halo, Lord of the rings, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. Pretty much everything has a book or two. Video games have some of the best books
I played many horror games and only in Dead Space it was stressful. Any encounter with Infector was goddamn scary. When I see one I stay as far away as possible from that thing while rapidly shooting at it. I have never been killed by one because I saw what it was doing to dead bodies.
Yes! Make another video on Deadspace. I’m a huge fan of the dead space series and overall the 1st deadspace game was the best game to ever be developed. Even in 2018 the graphics still look like they were just fresh off the batch of the year. I wish they could make a remastered version and add more content; such as necromorph models that were cut out last minute, reward the player with the gravity boots after beating Impossible mode and maybe add DLCs where you play multiple key characters that happen to be before and after the outbreak. Similar to Extraction yes, but Atleast this time you’ll be able to see, interact and explore what the Ishimura and Aegis VII was like before and during the outbreak. At the end of the DLC, when our last character faces their unknown fate, the following message that started the journey towards our sole hero Issac Clarke will play *zoom out to Ishimura* “USG Ishimura, this is the USG Kellion responding to your distress call, come in Ishimura.” *camera slowly turns to the ship closing in* and fade to black. It would be solid gold if that could ever happen 😩
The Necromorphs are like a reverse "The Thing." Love Dead Space, its an awesome series that joined the list of other IPs that got shafted by EA. Definitely recommend Dead Space 1 and 2, they are both great games in their own way.
This game made me feel completely hopeless even when i have a gun that literally shoots miniature sun. I'd rather have the T-Virus instead of this horrendous markers.
So they were true? Interesting And here i am wrong My belief wasn't strong And i am here to suffer Fu***ng hell Understadable. Red Red Y read the first letters from I to Y
I miss this series so bad. It was great wonderful mix of action, horror and story. I love to see a new game or even a update to the first one or two. Thank you taking the time to do this one.
I originally found your channel because you looked at films I enjoyed, had no idea you took the same approach to games as well! Dead Space is one of my all-time favourite franchises, I'm excited to see what the original creator comes up with in Callisto Protocol.
Dead Spece 1 is good Dead Space 2 is epic! Dead Space 3 is boring I couldn't stop playing Dead Space 2 and finished the game on the second day, but I stopped playing Dead Space 3 after a few chapters
Agreed. DeadSpace 3 had lost that horror feel. It felt more like an adventure game for trans actions than a horror game. The second one I love the part when hundreds of Necromorphs where charging through the room i just left. It gave me chills thinking i could have died if i stayed too long. The First will always be my favorite too.
just how absolutely, undyably cold and uncaring the universe is...it doesnt want to kill, it isnt evil or a villain, it just wants to be made whole...to feed...humanity is only a blip on its radar just like the last alien species it tried to devour
@@veryhotman44 because dead spaces combat was heavily inspired by resident Evil 4. I loved Dead Space 1 but to say it's 1000 times better than resident Evil is false. Especially since RE 4 is one of the most well made games ever made.
Dead Space honestly had just the right balance of horror, guts, and psychological aspects one could ask for. What also added to the appeal was Unitology and just how far it escalated. Really good coverage on this, mate. Been enjoying your videos, keep it up!
Great job. My favorite franchise and I remember the release day of DS1 and bringing it home and playing for the first time. It would plague my dreams for many years and always got paranoid near air vents when working late nights. P.s. I just remembered that you forgot to mention the moon's from DS3. That ending was tragic. I need to look for an ending video to get a refresher on what the moon's were again.
dead space 1 completely caught me off guard dead space 2 completely ruined any illusions i had of being able get past a room with anything more than a few bars of health and a handful of ammunition. dead space 3 had an incredible gameplay, a chilling revelation, and a Wonderful idea that was very very poorly executed. my favorite part was the new weapon crafting interface that made isaac feel more like a badass engineer. my least favorite part was that despite Isaac's clear overcoming of his buried pain and issues at the end of part 2, he completely became a fall apart bum at very beginning and carried that incredible let-dowm throughout the entire game. this game felt more like an action thriller than a survival horror.
One of the few universes that was able to actually scare me. One time doing a marathon of Dead Space 2 when I went to sleep that night and all the nights for almost a week were filled with nightmares.
Both games have been sitting still in my steam library for years now, this video inspired me to go check them out (and those animated films look awesome).
A video of all the infected would be cool, but also don't forget all the sub-types of the slasher, like the ones of medical personnel, the armored ones of former ishimura security, etc
Tyler Ellison Necromorphs would win, they make the flood look like puppies. I think there's a few vids on the web on why Necromorphs would slaughter flood.
Valkyrie Valkyre but the flood can use weapons and can pilot ships to use them as transports to spread more of the infection. Cant say i know much about necromourphs but your welcome to let me know what they can do.
Tried playing dead space when it was released but was too afraid to do so, but I have all 3, now trying to go through it again and I know people will judge me for this, but I cheat it so I don't die and be ableh to at least enjoy the story.. I love the game over all, but the constant scares makes it impossible for ee to finish. The story and lore is one of the most interesting of the game
Dude don't worry. The first time I played it I had to force me to continue because I was so terrified. Recently.... well yesterday I started it again and my heart's still racing while playing it. Pretty unique that I'm scared by a game because that doesn't happen often but that's why I love the game
Many years ago, I heard a story of a great plague that took place in a medieval land of orcs and pandas. At first it was just one. He was horribly sick and even felt a little glitchy. But he was a sadistic little bastard. He decided to willingly spread his ailment to others. Everyone felt as if they were rotting from the inside out, but, propelled by a morbid curiosity, they all kept spreading and spreading the illness across the fictional universe, until almost everyone was infected. Then, eventually, the illness was gone. Just goes to show how one little thing can twist someone's mind, and make them do things that, if they were sane, they never would of thought of it.
Thanx for all your effort, I absolutely loved the Dead Space Trilogy..... No other Horror Survival cuts it for me. Plz make a few more video's on the different Necromorph's. Thanx again. Peace.
Nice video man. The recombinant was also called the aberration by doctor Serrano in 3. The recombinant virus only reconstituted dead cells in the presence of the marker signal. The recombinant is what spurned project telomere on titan station, and other programs as far back as altman concerning human aging and regeneration. The only kicker was you needed the marker signal to observe any effects on dead tissue, and that was a bad thing.😄
Something about this game hits me harder than most other horror games. I think it’s a combination of a few things, first of all in most games there is a “safe room” occasionally, now I do believe there are safe rooms in the dead space games (I’m only part way into the first) but the difference is, it sure as hell doesn’t FEEL safe, at all. Secondly the atmospheric noises and visuals. The constant background sounds and movements keep you on guard consistently, it’s overwhelming and works really well at putting you in overdrive so you start to over think and make a mistake. It’s crazy how a good atmosphere will effect you.
The fist 2 games are perfect 'play late at night with the lights low, surround sound up and your rear end clinched' masterpieces. The atmosphere, the threats, the weapons and the need for the awesome strategic dismemberment. Haven't been around to play the 3rd yet, seems like another EA ball drop.
