Thanks.. I live in a crappy 1 bedroom apartment - only looking for a single main light for zoom and maybe occasional streaming, so don't have much space. I've seen this and read around about Bi-color panels, colour accuracy etc but this seems to go deep down a rabbit hole of videography. I'm assuming for someone like myself this would be more than adequate above a monitor, maybe with a warmer colour temperature? Or would I be better off with 2 smaller panels left & right off the monitor? Not wanting to spend a whole deal, just not wanting to look crap on video with a logitech C922 pro 😂 I figured it has plenty of brightness, colour temp adjustment and given the diffuser should look okay close up at a lower setting for my use case
@Em Dwyer, thanks for your comment! This is actually perfect for what you want to do. One of these is enough, most especially for live streaming and I have the same setup. Although I added another one as a fill light placed just a bit on the right back side. You can do the same if budget is not an issue, otherwise one will suffice. Yes, you’re correct this light is so bright and you don’t even need to go past the number 10 setting, but the good thing about it being bright is that you have more to play with if the location is really dark. As for warm color, it gives you a very nice warm light and it doesn’t flicker at all, and for me that’s really important. I hope I answered your question. Thank you for watching the video and for taking the time to comment and ask! 🙏🏾 Much appreciated!
Zxenmusic, this is the closest one I could find: www.amazon.com/Neewer-Light-Panel-Softbox-Diffuser/dp/B08B835V5Y/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1J3XNKR1AYJ0V&keywords=led+light+panel+softbox&qid=1653945373&sprefix=led+light+panel+softbox%2Caps%2C88&sr=8-5 I measured the led panel and the width is 9.7 inches whereas this softbox is only 7 inches. You might have to squeeze the led panel inside, but the length is fine since it's 15.9 inches. For some reason I can't find the exact one made for the NL-288-A. But with a little bit of tweaking this might fit your led panel. Good luck and I hope it works out. I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching the video! 🙏🏽
@The Maple Leaf, you can’t go wrong with this light. Just keep in mind though that it’s so bright when at 100%. I have mine set at 3200K at 1% brightness as my fill light and it’s the right amount for my use. If you’ll be using this as your main/key light, you may want to place a softbox in the front to achieve a softer look. Thanks for your comment and for watching the video! 🙏🏾
These are perfect for a green screen, it evens out the chroma key. I wouldn't recommend these for a main light, only fill. You mentioned a soft box, do they sell soft boxes for this set? I own the set and would really like to know! Thanks!
@Rick Deckard, that's great to know! Yes, you're correct and this light excels when you use it as a fill light since it's too bright, and a softbox is necessary to use it as a main light in my opinion. Unfortunately, there's no official softbox for it from Neewer or even one that is available. I found one way back that I think will work but doesn't have the exact measurement of the LED light, and I just checked it on Amazon, but it's no longer available. Here's the link anyway if you want to see it: amzn.to/3nXwTCd Thanks for watching the video! 🙏🏽 Cheers!
@UNCLE GEN VISION, oh so sorry, my bad! Thanks for pointing that out. Totally overlooked on my part. It's now in the video description. I appreciate you watching the video! 🙏🏽 Cheers!
