As you said the goal of +ve feedback is moving away from a set point, can you identify what are the set points in the clotting and uterine contractions? 8:25 The fire grows itself according to positive feedback. As it burns, it encourages more burning, and grows exponentially. The smoke detectors have to be part of a wired network where if one of them starts to alert then more/all of them alert if the smoke detectors are to be called an example of positive feedback. But smoke detectors often aren't wired together. If they aren't wired together, then what looks like positive feedback in the smoke detectors is actually independent action in response to the positive feedback growth of the fire and its resulting smoke, without any actual positive feedback from smoke detector to smoke detector. This is an important distinction.
