This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
Thank you! Mine isn't even a couple months old and it was giving me the error. Now, after watching your video, I'm enjoying a caramel waffle latte. :-)
Friend. After ordering descaling liquid, waiting two days, and spending about an hour or two trying to figure out how the crud to descale this machine, the coffee gods led me to this video which solved my problem in the promised 30 seconds. Not all heroes wear capes.
For those refilling pods...here’s a reason you get the two blinking flashes! The reset solution is a great tip. Thanks for that. You think of the best ways to troubleshoot early in the wee hours! 😂 The key is to not fill up your pods all the way to the top. It needs room when punctured by the machine and fills up with hot water to pass through. What happens is you get overflow and overheating of the top spinning apparatus/area. I recollect my first refilled pod worked because it wasn’t filled all the way to the top. Test run: My findings are true…did a test this morning and all is well. Fill it and leave a good amount of room before the foil recap. Good to go! Enjoy! 😁
Although this did NOT work for me...Thanks for the video. I appreciate when people take the time to share some helpful tips. So here's my helpful tip... I highly, highly recommend that no one buys this Nespresso machine. It is absolutely the worst coffee maker I have ever owned. After about 15 uses, I got the double orange blinking light of doom. Nothing seems to fix it and the Nespresso website and instructions are frustrating. They make so many different models that it makes it SUPER difficult to find troubleshooting for your particular model. Obviously if found this video, it may be too late for you as well. But I'm returning this vile machine!
I can assure you I’ll never buy another espresso, this is the second piece of garbage I purchased. The problem with this one is there is a gasket in the top that came loose and I can’t reseat it
Agree with Benji. I'm on my 4th Vertuo Next. That one now died after about 4 weeks, time to call support and get my 5th machine. If they made ANY other machine that could make pour overs, I'd buy it, but this is the only one that does. Was hoping this fix would get me over the latest hump, it didn't work.
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for this video. Spent an hour trying to troubleshoot, and with your guidance the issue was resolved. Thank you for the help, you are a life saver!
This fix worked well. Thanks. One more thing- I ran hot water in the spinning mechanism while holding in upside down in the sink. Man oh man, a lot of muck flowed out.
I had the same issue after very few uses. I love the coffee this thing makes. So far I've just been unplugging it and plugging back in to fix the issue. I will try this too. Thanks!
Suggestions if this didn’t work? Worked when it happened previously, but I’ve descaled, cleaned, and made sure that the dial spins. Still getting the orange double blink of coffee death. 😫😑
Same here! What I did was unplug it for a couple mins and took a napkin and wipe the inside then after that I plug it back in and some how it work agaib
I did not have a blinking orange light just a solid white line that when i press it it never brews my coffee ive tried unplugging and nothing even reopening machine open and close and moving the spinner. Why isnt my machine brewing 🥺 its not even 2 months old with me.
Sorry but no work... Do all the processes, Cleaning, Decal, but when it comes to brew coffee, run run and nothing! The brand offers me 30%off on a new one can you imagine... The want to sale machine-coffee-and warranty... What good machine needs warranty in one identified problem all over the world. This is the the Apple of the coffee machines, that what it is.
Thanks for this information. Brand new machine unboxed today and got the orange light blinking after only one coffee. Terrible quality or design fault that leaves me not impressed with Nespresso as a brand if this is what happens. Hopefully we’ll get it working tomorrow or taking it back to the store.
Hi, thank you so much for this such an easy solution. I’ve been calling and getting it sorted via Nespresso customer care for over a month. They were unable to sort the issue. I just love the coffee this machine brews and you are a life saver, as I was frustrated with lack of information to sort the issue. Thanks again.
If you see they never made recalls in identified problems , never... If you have a good expresso machine with no wireless connections and so one... Keep it and maintain it for life. Software update is = buy new one.
Thank you! I had to clean with a paper clip and spray with soaping water to loosen. Then I did a cleaning cycle with hot water and it now works. Nespresso says to use there descaling kit once a week. That can get expensive🤔 I have always used vinegar and water in my regular pots.
their machines are a joke... l ways have issues with it,, this didn't work for me? still flashes orange twice.. did the 5 press reset and still nothing.. going to throw it off the building soon or through the window of nespresso
Hi I had to comment. This actually worked !!! Mind you I have a new machine 🤦🏾♀️ the first One had a serious issue and I purchased all of the new. Thank you so much. I was wondering what happened. I don’t even use it everyday and panicked when it didn’t work again. It takes so long for them to ship another One.
Give this man a medal - and a huge raspberry for Nespresso for their needlessly complicated descaling instructions and failing to correct or even mention this in the reams of useless info on their site. They are lucky their coffee is superb because anyone else would have tossed this heap long ago.
Wahnsinn!
Bravo 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 thank you so much for this easy fix. I so wish I would have come to RU-vid before my Google search. I was getting so frustrated. I did exactly what you said and now I have a cup of delicious espresso. Thank you
Thankyou mate, Nespresso on Google didn’t even suggest this. My mum bought me a new Virtuo Next for Christmas so I was a bit annoyed that it had ‘broken’ after 7 months after being so expensive. This fixed the issue. Thanks again
Thanks so much for posting! I didn’t have to tip my machine over. I saw that the gear was stuck and moved it around There were a few coffee grounds stuck up in there. Be careful of the prongs that pierce the coffee pod. They are pretty sharp. I hope this only happens occasionally. My first vertuo machine never did this.
Thanking you from Mar-2024 for the clear, simple and most importantly effective solution! Followed your instruction and here you go - it worked like a charm.
I hate this machine. I’ve already had to send it back due to a leaking issue that nespresso couldn’t fix. They replaced with the exact same machine and now I’m having this orange light issue. So frustrating!
Dude thanks a ton. It was definitely stuck. The process that worked for me: -Break it loose to spin freely -Close it, lock it (still blinking red) -Unplug it and plug it back in 🤘🏼
That worked (without any help from tech support) but the problem has been coming back. Not sure if it's a coincidence, but I stopped leaving the lid open between uses and the dial stopped getting stuck.
Thank you so much! I've spend 2 hours on trying to find out, what's wrong with my machine! And then I find your vid and tadaaaa I have my midnight coffee ready :)
I was having this issues as well. In my case, just trying to turn the wheel until it came free did not work. I talked to Nespresso and tried various things. Finally they suggested taking a spray bottle of water and a toothbrush and spraying the wheel and cleaning it with the toothbrush until it spins freely and then descaling. This is ultimately what worked for me. They also recommended to do this cleaning once a week or so and descale every 3 months.
I actually held the machine under the tap and rinsed the wheel to get it really spinning free again. Just wait a while for it to dry before running the machine again.
Mine kept getting stuck so it wouldn’t rotate, turned it upside down while getting a grip on it and it came loose a lot easier. Without taking the machine apart, I thought there might be a ratchet system engaged when it spins that gets stuck. Long story short, worked better for me inverted.
So glad you made this video. I could NOT figure out what the problem was and thought it was cleaning or descaling per the website. I did exactly as you showed and it WORKED! You're my new FAVORITE person. Thanks again. Now, sitting here enjoying my coffee again.
