Hooking happens before evaluation and after premise.

I wasn't familiar with the original manifesto, but I think Todd's concepts of premise and evaluation are specifically made to get the girl chasing you, and that separates his approach from a lot of other pickup advice. But from the names of the original steps you mentioned, "hooking" and "emotional and physical connection" seem a little more generic.

I agree that 'premise' and 'evaluate' are more actionable. It's nice to know that you need to 'hook' a girl/person, aka get them to buy in to the conversation or buy into you. But what are you doing exactly to "hook"? Premise is just a better way to describe the interaction and what needs to be done to get there. Where as, 'hooking', is very vague, in that "How does one 'hook'?" Premise is more self-defining and thus an easier concept to teach. I think 'evaluate' is the same way. It's just an easier concept to understand, compared to 'emotional & physical connection'.

be indirect as possible when showing intent and form actual connections, as you see them everyday and you are in a place where there can be consequences of overstepping, you don't want to do anything crazy in those environments.

@@Blazervitch thanks for the reassurance because i always feel that I've been too cold and slow and not been escalating. Also, there's one specific girl I want to game. She's been quite affable with me. Some specific actions like she would smile when I look at her; she would ask me questions, and she initiates conversations with me. But the problem is, she's an extrovert, so I don't know if she's into me particularly or just being friendly with people. She also told me she works out at the same gym as I do, usually at 1 am, so I want to ' accidentally ' bump into her. But idk which day of the week she goes, and it's silly to be there at 1 am everyday in the hope of meeting her. So I want to ask her to workout together, any suggestions? She seems to be friends with another girl at my work place. My strategy is to be friends with said girl to win her as my 'wingwoman.' what do yall think?

@@bran4564 I would say become friends with the friend and flirt with her subtly, once she sees that her friend likes you she will be more attracted to you. You will want to plant the seed of the idea of having a gym session together during conversation, then when you get to know her better you can use callback to ask her to go with you.
