Arrma over all awsome off road trucks. Yesss some of the parts are cheap metal. Outdrives and stuff. But once you throw some M2C parts on the wk points, you'll have yourself one he'll of an off-road BEAST!!!!

Got one in September. After multiple high speed crashes ( has the high speed pinion in her , almost 60 MPH) ,, only breaks were , of course the snake bites in the hood ,, tape and shoe goo , front bumper mount , and 1 tie rod end. Definitely tougher than the X Max. She's broke A arms , powdered gears didn't last long , steering rack went out within a month. I've asked several RU-vidrs a simple question with no real response. 8 S Outcast RTR was the same cabbage as the X Max , grand ,, the 6 S EXB Kraton came out and was 150 more than the normal 6S X Max Extreme comes out 500 more. Why did Arrma NOT charge more for the 8 S EXB Kraton and Outcast ????? Definitely best bang for the buck. Thank you sir. Very much appreciated and thank you for your service

Thank you very much for watching and the comment. I like that Arrma improves on their products and doesnt charge more I guess they take feedback and make it the way it should have been, For me it has not been tougher than a Xmaxx I have ripped a whole control arm out and keep bending axles no problems with gears or anything I dont know about the price increase for the 6s I never had one until the big rock came out then the I got the Kraton as well lol. You wont ever see me buy the extreme Xmaxx its overpriced and not needed as far as the way I drive or need I would rather they fixed the body popping off every 2 seconds ans cracking in the bed area then putting shiny parts on it. At the end of the day its all about fun and our experiences vary based on driving styles, climate and terrain and sometimes dumb luck lol I have broke stuff like a shock mount on what seemed to be an easy landing then totally hose a landing knowing something broke and nope.

I wouldn't say its poorly built just a few issues mainly the bumper bracket I haven't bent another axle yet I do have 1 more with a slight bend. There is a glitch in the esc causing it to brake coming off 3/4 throttle they just released the firmware update for it today that is something you will need to look into you need the Spektrum programmer to do the update

I've bought an Infraction and this was next. Not thrilled with the fact that you have to install aftermarket parts before you can actually get ripping. lol!

Hey there, hows the outcast been treating you? Would love to see another video with some more jumps. I hear the 39t pinion is great with this truck. Gotta ask, as far as driving goes, does the xmaxx feel bigger when driving? Also, Is one better with extremely uneven terrain or are they pretty much equal?

Its been good after I replaced the broken front bumper mount with one from garage life rc that hasn't been a problem. I have not bent another axle as of yet lol hopefully I wont but I have heard from others its a bit of a problem. No worries I will have plenty more videos with it. The X Maxx is very nimble it doesnt turn as fast as the Outcast thats due to it sitting higher but its lighter weight really helps it not feel big and crazy. On uneven stuff the weight of the Outcast can help keep it planted the longer suspension and more ground clearance really help the X Maxx it can plow through just about anything.

And the truck can take some serious abuse. But it needs a couple of upgrades. Like I said b4 there are some wk points! There vids all over you tube on exactly what you need to upgrade to make it a tank. I have the v1. Did what I had to too it. Man I've put it thru he'll and back. Most damage has been to the body. All my M2C parts still intact haven't really replaced anything since the m2c upgrades. Just regular maintenance. Diffs shocks fluids. But that's it. The body just needs. Little cushioning. L2theW drinking my morning cup of Joe and watching the unbox. One thought came to my mind. Bro respect the space when operating this ARRMA outcast. This will hurt you if it hits you. Kind of like firing a AT-4 down range. The back blast from the rocket will singe the hair on your face. If this rolls or slides into you it will hurt you because of the weight. I have a friend who got his ankle broke by his Outcast. He was too close to the track and it slide into him. For sure I look forward to see you put this beast thru its paces safely. The bent drive shaft and broken bumper mount is a bummer for sure. I have bashed my ARRMA FireTeam 6 worst than that and after 75 bash's The only damage was tire separation and I replaced the main body from hitting a tree full speed.

Definitely true no worries its not my first big rc I have the X maxx too you need room to run it they are big and heavy and will hurt you if your not careful. Appreciate the comment and watching

The truck is not nose heavy. It's the angle and size of the jump combined with how you hit it. This can kick your rear end up.

Between X-maxx Vs Outcast 8s v2 Exb which one would you recommend? Also, which one would you recommend for easy backflips out of the box completely stock?

The X maxx is a back flip beast its lighter and easier to spin. They both are fun Traxxas parts are cheaper and seems more durable so I would say X maxx

Yup technically its bigger than the X maxx 1/5th scale versus 1/6th scale but its not about the same size not as tall its a blast to run

I don't know if you know about M2c, but there is the spot for arrma and Traxxes upgrades. Some of the best parts around are as far as quality and durability and looks for that matter around.

I've been on the fence on getting an 1/8 or 1/5 exb Arrma but they seem to break/fail so much easier than the Xmaxx/Maxx. They look so nice but their fragility gives me pause.

My only issue on the 8S is bending axles I have some droop screws I need to install I was told that should help. I did one bad landing on this and ripped the rear control arm out at a skate park the Xmaxx probably would have been ok its the weight of this that hurts. The 6s has been great I have done some long jumps with it and so far I have not broken anything on it. I also seem to have less problems with the 8s Kraton bending axles than the outcast for some reason maybe the longer chassis helps distribute the weight better? The 6s is solid I have not had any issues with it.

@L2theWcarscoffeelife thanks for the feedback, I've noticed the new 6s v2 kraton/notorious seem durable, kevin talbot wasn't able to bend the chassis which says alot about the durability. I mostly bash but not in a reckless way, I always attempt to land smooth and don't go for max air lol.

@marcgallant5270 same with me I enjoy small jumps nothing that I feel will end up breaking something. For 5th scale the Xmaxx is tough very fast if you want speed on the ground with better handling its the Kraton . I dont have a maxx but I do have the maxx slash its damn tough but the servo saver is pure trash hot racing makes a nice replacement. The Kraton like I said no issues with it. Traxxas is harder to work on I pulled the center diff out of mine and wow what a task the Arrma is easier to work on and a 2 year warranty Traxxas you have 30 days on electronics I know lots of decisions just a few things to think about in the end they are all good rc's you will have fun

@L2theWcarscoffeelife I'll end up with likely a V2 6s Kraton exb and the Xmaxx eventually. For now, I have a Maxx V2 and Hoss with EHD kit + GTR shocks(VG springs). I have to say the Hoss aka new stampede VXL when you add GTR shocks (VG springs) has been equally durable as the Maxx but it's a much much better stunt truck. IMO I'm surprised the new 3s VXL stampede hasn't caught on since the EHD kit is included at no extra cost.

Just a heads up, I'm mentioning when I see it done wrong. Your battery straps are not on the right. After going around the buckle, the strap goes back under the pressure pad, it keeps the straps locked down. Just My 2¢ Have Fun

I know what you mean. I bought it 3 Days ago and by the First Run i band the Driveshaft in the Rear and the First Run was nothing crazy, little Jumps (1,2 or 1,4m in the Air, landing on all 4 Tyres). I mean, i life in Austria and at the Moment the Weather is crazy and a little bit cold (10 - 12°), but a bending Driveshaft without bashing hard (i bash my other RC way harder) is ridiculous. Its a heavy Rig, it looks cool and drive gorgeous, but i´m little disappointed.

I am in Florida and it was warm so far I haven't bent another one I agree any other vehicle I have has taken a worse hit and jumped higher no damage. I think its because its too damn heavy for its own good. I saw one company made thicker shafts but dang more than a pair of factory shafts. Hate to hear that happened it does validate my review thank you for watching and the comment
