I just bought one of these for myself because it’s my birthday and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DECK! It feels so nice doing primo tricks and i definitely notice a difference when I pop with the corners rather than the center of the tail. The corners work so well for treflips and butter-flips and the center is great for kickflips and heelflips. The way that the board centered weight makes boardslides feel so buttery. 100% recommend.

I found Andy and these Powell guys recently. These videos have reignited my passion for skating. I haven't done too much in the past 5 or 10 years with my son being born but now I can show him. All these new takes on old shapes and whatnot has me really wanting to Try one of these . My 7.75 popsicle seems so smol and boring . Andy and all the guys seem really nice and genuine. I'm wishing you all the success!

I got this board yesterday and it is a beauty. Haven’t skated it yet but I’m loving the mellowness of the nose and tail. The extra length and width. Just everything. I’m hoping Andy’s spirit is the mystical 8th ply and will guide me to not completely suck at skateboarding.

I love how the artist comes out of so many skaters when setting up a new deck! Mike V. did the grip on my board for me, and I love what he did with it! He used a little sheet of clear grip for the top graphic area, then blended three other colors of grip in a custom design. I love doing my own grip art, but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to get some one of a kind Mike V. artwork! 💚

For anyone that got confused. Nigel was trying to say that he felt like a lot of the twin tail boards are more like twin nose boards because the size of the "tails" are more similar to a common nose.

I was sold on the original when I found out about it as Iv been wanting to get back to skating to try and get my two year old with it. Soon as I realized they were hard to get I jumped on the first one I found. I’m thankful for the scarcity because if not high chances are I’d drag my feet too long. Deck rules! My first board back after about 15 years and my first board ever was my dads first pro model of mike McGill also powell(you don’t want to know how I treated that it’s shameful) also as he mentions the top graphic that was one of my fav parts of the og McGill so was excited to find they make grip tape with the same one so got that and the whole complete feels like a shrine to where I started and I love it

I’m stoked, I snapped my flightdeck getting a wheel jammed around a rail. It is still in tacked but now I only use it for freestyle. Keen on getting a 9inch Andy board and just shredding! I skate an 8.75 popsicle so not a big change either.

I got one of the big flight decks on my wall. I almost feel bad for not riding it. But it still makes me smile every time I look at it. Also, if you think the boards are hard to come by in the US, try mid EU. Also 160$

I've got the Flight deck version in 8.45" and the 9.1" 7-ply version and got to admit I really like the 7-ply one a lot. There's something better about the shape in 9.1". Probably more the way it was intended.

@@willroofing4344 I was on descent headphones at the time, it worked great, I got every word. -but if your on a phone, shitty Bluetooth speaker or a lot of background noise leaking I would imagine the sound not really coming through. -anyway, I love music, that's all :)

The first deck in the world with a double tail was a "Vision Street Wear" in the early 90s, but I can't find it online. Does anyone remember that? Before this board, noses were almost non-existent. Thank you Andy, you remind me of this revolution which, apparently, thanks to you, is still in progress. Stupidly, I stopped riding in 94, but thanks to confinement, I started riding again recently. Thank you bro! PS: I know, I fall back into childhood, and I take my dreams for reality. I don't really know how to ride anymore. Oh man I didn't even REALIZE it was a 7 ply! I finally scored the blueish colored one after wanting to get an andy deck since they came out, but honestly might have to follow my gut instinct and hang this one up as I think I wanna try skating a flight deck! I'll see how big this 9.13 looks irl and might also get the smaller version of the flight deck if it seems as big as it does on video. So hype andy made these other colorways! Congrats on the new boards!

The shapes make the boards ride smaller than their size. The 9 rides like an 8.625 or maybe 8.75 and the 8.475 version rides identically to an 8.25.

@@coliimusic Andy literally said in this video he thinks these 7 ply boards feel bigger than they are which is why he doesn’t mind the smaller one.. Lol. These boards of Andy’s shape are all quite large in my opinion. Not hating, they’re sick. Just too big and bulky for me personally.

@@jamesshepard4743 we will have to agree to disagree lol. I feel like,these boards are huge. Super wide feeling to me personally. Probably just a mind trick with squared off ends. But yeah, I fully disagree they feel smaller then they are. No way. For me personally, anyway. There’s a reason everybody keeps asking about smaller and smaller sizes of his board. I understand his shape makes it difficult to produce smaller. I will say I have only tried it one time somebody had one in the neighborhood. It was the Flight deck ones. He said it was the smaller one so that would be 8.45”

@@allstopblue5717 I have boards ranging from 8.25 -10 and the Anderson flight deck in 9.13 feels very similar to my 8.6 spill proof by black label , but obviously with different pop characteristics. I find it takes a few runs to feel out The dynamics of the flight deck when switching back-and-forth.

Yeah I love Andy but it's kind of hard to pull the trigger on a 7 ply maple for that much. Supply and demand I guess. Even reissues of old decks don't rack up that price.

It is mostly out of stock and 35 north did not order any when they put in their order recently.. Should I get the smaller one or the larger? I am 51 and am mostly mono-directional but can pull off the random smith grind and frontside rock & roll.
