NEW ARRMA Outcast 6s EXB RTR breakages, tune, and Skatepark Shred... 

Wanted to add my ESC went from glitching to plum not working 😝. Put in a fresh Lipo and went through everything. No longer have throttle or reverse despite rebinding, recalibrating, and playing with the settings. ESC keeps repeating start up sequence over and over when powered on 🤔. Very disappointing after only 2 runs. I'll try a software update (if possible) on my laptop with the Spectrum programmer, but dropping in a Max8 if I can't get her sorted. Already yanked the stock reciever because I couldn't complete a simple "throttle set-up" with it out of the box until I dropped in an old Tactic. Let me know if you have any ideas or similar issues. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Man what a nice looking truck. I hope the spektrum esc's don't end up plagued with issues. The one in my o8s does funky things. My last bash I had a good flight and once she touched earth again the esc stopped I thought a battery came unplugged but as soon as I was a foot away from it the esc restarted all on its own .and it likes to take a good 30 seconds upon starting to have anything other than steering. I'm thinking it's just gonna get a max5 and be done with it lol but my typhon and vorteks I haven't had an issue and the one I threw in my last build has done well despite a faulty fan. I love my backflip lps they are the perfect balance of less weight but enough to rotate. It was awesome to see you at the skatepark again I love the full loops just awesome. And those were some wicked sends at the end. Thanks for another awesome video man I really wanna go out and run something now but it's almost 11pm now haha. I love you skatepark vids because you like to flow through and keep a good pace and line going. Total ripper style. Like using the transitions to bring you to the next feature and keeping your pace instead of stopping and setting up for a launch off a quarter Piper out of a bowl or snake. Sure it's fun to air it out, and you got the ramps for that yourself. I like that you can go to the park and use the park for what it's for. It takes so much time to learn the transitions and learn the lines in the flow at a park on a skateboard. I remember. The amount of throttle control and weight balance that you have is insane to be able to do what you do at a part with your cars. Love that shit

Awesome bashing Rich! 👍👍👍 The smaller Backflips definitely save weight and improve the handling at the skate parks with smooth surfaces. Non LSD diffs is what I also like more. Found out that the LSDs are holding the rig back from stabilizing itself in the air. Especially with the regular bigger Backflip tires. Without the center brace I would definitely go with an M2C chassis 3mm lightweight or 4mm beefcake. 💪 Not a fan of the new spektrum Servos with 23 tooth spline either, heard of cracking if the case before too. I really waa diggin the way you were ripping the bowl and the whole park not just airing it out of a quarter pipe like everyone does, i mean its cool but you were more "technical" with tricks with transfers and front side/back side airs just like on a skateboard its different i like it!🤝👊👍

Very Very nice Brother Rich, really great test and ride on the skatepark, it feels really handy and light👍. I have read below your problem with the esc, I admit that I also have similar problems in the arrma vortex, the other day it took me 10 minutes to get it started, it turns on but has no connection with the remote control remaining flashing red. It is annoying after two races to see that the esc is no longer working, surely you will solve it with hobbywing 😉💪 As always thanks for your video my friend, keep it up, a greeting from Italy 😀😀👍😁🤝👽

The removal of the cable to reduce resistance and weight is negligible but the reduction of inductance in the cable is well worth doing it for. The reduction of cable length running a single pack and one connector gives the ESC fets a massively easier time.

Nice upgrades! I'm definitely changing the servo to my 6s exb to a more powerful one. My only hesitation is if it will be a direct fit or if I'll have to order new brackets.

Awesome new rig, video. In your opinion would you put a stronger servo in your outcast 6s or your kraton 6s? I just got a outcast 6s it has an upgraded servo, but now it seems the outcast flips over when I turn at speeds. Kraton still has original v3 servo but has backflip 4s tires handles amazing.

So have a question. Does this use up batteries like the blx e 2.0 losi does? Cause im torn between the 2 having hard time deciding 😪

It was a bad esc that’s all nothing else. Great bash brother. I have 2 and they both kick arse lol. Hold up great even the cap packs are smashed up on 1 and it’s still going. It pops when I turn it on lol but still runs just fine. What’s up with the big popping is that something I should be considering looking into fixing or do they just do that One pops The other does not but both still work just fine. Both firma 150 amp esc’s

My ESC on my new Typhon 6s caught on fire today and shot a flame about 3 feet into the air😂 Time to contact Arrma to get myself a replacement ESC. Only ran 5 battery packs through it before it decided to end its life😤

Hi Rich. Love your videos! I decided to do an Outcast 8s EXB for my first roller build. Things are beginning to show up, and I’m excited to build, but would love some professional guidance!! It would be rad to link up and do a video where an expert like you shows a first time builder (like me 😉) tips and tricks along the way during a build, answering questions as things progress. I have a nice workshop and a proper GoPro setup where I could film myself working in HD, and then we could do a FaceTime or Zoom call and record that and layer the 2 together in a video.. with the aim of helping other first time builders have success right from the get go. It’s a long shot, but if you’re at all interested shoot me a message on here.

I got my first RTR 6s. I noticed the firma esc is dam well superior to the blx 185. Idk why people talk bad of it that much. The motor timing bassicly increases the top speed and torque of the motor without changing pinions. The 7.4v bec tranformed my ds3218pro into a beast. The stock fan on the esc is kinda junk i run powerhobbies fans or yeah racing ones. I ditched a lot of things on the RTR. All the diffs were remplaced for EXB ones because god i hate the RTR diff on these things, trew the servo out changed the front motor bearing to ceramic hybrid, trew out the stock plastic pin holder and chassi braces. Bassicly every exb exept chassi and shock towers i think thats fine for the V5. The bumper does suck tho. I kinda want the firma esc for my kraton6s exb now i want that 7.4v makes my fans blast air a lot more and servo becomes a lot stronger and i go straighter than i ever went.

Needs some help on a pinion gear. For outcast EXB 8S I ordered a safe D5 5MM bore. Bit of course I know I need a D8 8mm bore. Very hard to find now. ARA 311049 which is a 29T should be great for my spectrum 1100KV with spectrum ESC. Infraction pinions don't fit to thin. Do you happen to know anywhere near you that has them? Thanks brother

Sounds like its time for hobbywing or castle esc and hobbystar motor, or use hobbystar esc

My best bet why ur motor is cooking is the motor timing is set to 22 degres stock so ur bassicly running a 14T stock and not 12t.
