I must say, Thank you Beretta. I hated the original chunky grip and the thumb safety on the slide. I can now have a 92 again on my handgun shelf, the 92X. Thank you Beretta!

Hope you have had good luck with your 92X. I have had serious problems with 92 pistols both from Beretta and Wilson Combat. I experienced abnormal wear and metal deposits (properly cleaned and cared for) after 50 rounds of use with the Wilson 92. I can not attest to how many Beretta pistol have this issue. I own a 96 that is about 20 years old and it has never had any similar issues. May I mention I received little satisfaction from Beretta and Wilson Combat. That cost Wilson future 1911 purchases from me...

Ron C Just a heads up if you’re interested and ready to buy. I know a very reputable website (it’s a large chain like a Walmart but for sports, hunting, etc) where you can order yours online and have it in a few days. Ordered mine thru them and I get it on Weds. As long as you live in the US and aren’t in a state that restricts the gun like California.

I got one and fuck That thing is accurate, the most accurate gun I have ever shot!!!!!! At 30 yards in the range I got 10 shots right of the target!!!!! And I’m a new to guns I have been shooting for 4 months .

I just got a M9A3 and love it! Seriously considering this 92x but I wonder how it would compare to my Sig P226 Legion? I don't think I would really have a need for both.

Congrats on the M9A3, glad you love it! The 92X PERFORMANCE is a lot heavier than the P226 LEGION. The triggers and sights are very different as well. The P226 Legion is one of my favorite guns of all time.

Sig L is just a bit more accurate in single action and quicker reset have both , both great guns.

Ammo? What is the best ammo for the 92x that you would recommend? I’m based in the US. Not sure where you’re located. I’m not concerned about cost of the ammo.

Fiocchi is a very good round for competition. But for practice at the range, you should be fine with any 115grain (CCI, Magtech, Federal, Wichester, etc.)

Is it possible to order more of the original magazines that come with the Beretta 92x performance in the box? I don’t want to use magazines from other Baretta’s.

Im sure you can. However, I am using all my other 92 Mags from my other pistols and I am loving it!!! no more realoading at the range with the only 2 mags that it brought! They work just fine, you will be ok.

ProForceSecurity Exactly. 👍🏾 Two mags is not enough. Too much reloading. I need at least 6 in total. I’ll contact Beretta tomorrow and see about ordering 4 or 5 more Mags.

Quick question just for my clarity please. When did you actually place your preorder for your 92x? Was it like 3 to 4 months ago? Just ballpark. I ask because I spoke with Beretta headquarters and they’re saying like 8 months to a year. 🙄🙄

Around 4 months sounds accurate. The 92X Performance is heavily backordered right now. If that's the pistol you really want, I would suggest to place an order as soon as possible because deliveries will take a while.

Question. Did you order it thru your local gun shop? How exactly did you place your order?

Yes. To my understanding any Beretta authorized dealer should be able to place the order for you. And delivery should take place accordingly in the order in which they were received.

If you love the brand, it looks like the perfect Beretta. What is the price in America ? in France it is about 1600€ (1750 US$), a bit more than the Shadow 2 (around 1400€ here).

@R C I live in Switzerland, and I will be getting mine from an authorized Beretta gun dealer. The 92X is set to be released in November according to the importer.

@R C I haven’t had the opportunity to get my hands on the Performance version yet. However, I have been told that the grip angle is similar to a 1911, which is a platform I enjoy a lot. The 92X Performance will be my very first Beretta, and hopefully, it will be a winner!

Yeah, 3 months is about right. I have to say, I actually got pretty lucky too becuase Beretta did not disclose an eta other than "deliveries should start before the new year in the U.S". So yeah, I got really lucky too.

It's still a tired old frame design. Too thick and too high. They moved the safety,and it made it like their old version that Taurus bought.

Never satisfied. In all the gun reviews the number of mags is never enough. If it comes with one it would have been nice if it came with two. If it comes with two it would be nice if there were three. I'm certain if there were five that six would have been nicer. Two mags is 30 rounds. Enjoy.
