OK that's about it right there, less than two weeks ago I got the FX Dream Pup in 25 but got a 30 cal barrel coming, and now its starting already, man, I gotta get a MKII Impact, lol, seriously
I discovered, if you have a crony, you can get the fps at 2 different distances, (one at the muzzle and one further out), to figure out the Ballistic Coefficient (BC) of the pellet. With the ballistics calculator, you can then figure out the energy of the pellet at any distance. I bet at 200 yards, that 81gr pellet still has at least 50fpe in it, (527fps). But, since this gun is so accurate, you can just crony it at 200 yards. :)
Hi Rick! I watch a lot of your videos and learn from them. . I appreciate your honesty and you can SHOOT!!! Great video, I think my Terminator 357 has the same power. Great job!!!
I rarely subcribe to anything but this Dude is the Shit as we say here in LA in a great way his educational Airgun videos just sold me on the best PCP rifles on the planet No more Firearms for me All high-power silence Lever action- Semiautomatic PCP Masterpieces now 😀

The rifle is very comparable at the muzzle with my Hatsan 35. I'm interested to know if the h& n grizzlies work in that FX. The grizzlies worked fine in my rifle out to 50 yards.... At 75 yards they were all over the place. I put that down to the fact that the bore diameter was too small for the grizzly slugs because the rifling marks on the grizzlies was very deep and pronounced. I switched to JSB pellets and they were tack drivers at 100 hundred yards. The jsb pellets were also traveling 60 feet per second faster. There is only one grain difference in between the slug and the pellet.
Nice shooting and beautiful day there rick. You ought to try it out further to see when the pellet starting to curve down for the first 10 rounds after refill. I tried my .30 impact to 180 yds with power wheel on max, and the jsb pellet went thru a cantaloupe plus cracked a cinder block behind it. I was surprised too. But now, it’s too hot in Texas and it’s only end of May. OMG 😮!! I’m totally digging that FX .35 cal. Start saving up for Santa’s shopping cart end of year. Cheers and keep up the videos. Love y’all.
Question: Why would this gun "curve down" for 10 shots after a refill when using the plenum? I don't have the gun (yet), but I do understand it takes a few shots to settle in after a adjustment, (like a regulator adjustment, and maybe others), but this is the first I have heard about shots needed to gain consistency after a refill. What am I missing? Thanks.
@@EarthSurferUSA mostly all pcp after few shots will have less pressure thus pellets will drop distance. But FX usually very consistent in quality. I was saying about 10 shots would be wrong due FX good quality but if using max power setting may be..just may be the drop could be noticeable with heavy pellets.
@@isferfun3909 But this gun has a plenum, (a smaller tank with less pressure for the shot), that fills up to the same adjustable regulated pressure. This gun should not a variance in psi for the shot until the 580cc main tank reaches the lower pressure of the plenum tank. The plenum tank eliminates the 'curve" of a gun that runs on the main tank only. I think that is accurate anyway. :)
@@EarthSurferUSA yep correct sorry I forgot the plenum part. My impact .30 doesn't have one so it's the main difference. Other than that FX I use Airforce which got mo plenum either. That'd be so awesome if someone invented plenum for Airforce products.
@@isferfun3909 Your Impact .30 should have the plenum, (the little horizontal tank under the rear stock), but it is smaller than the .35 gun. The plenum is the tank your 2nd regulator is attached to under the rear stock. That is your shot tank pressure. Did an older Impact not have it?
Good vid. But what camera are you showing the plywood to? It would have been nice to see the damage to the wood. Thanks again. Your videos are fun to watch.
Hey Rick , fantastic viewing on this show . FX shore make a grand Rifle . 200 yards is a wonderful shot to do , well done 🌟 . Your the best shot I know . Do you own an FX Rifle ? . Iam thinking about buying one . Thank you Rick and Ryan for your hard work 😓. Have a great weekend, and stay safe .... Cheers Simon from England 🇬🇧
I definitely appreciate this review on the .35 Impact...heavy lead...tuned it’s dead...I get it. How about my gun for hunting...as much as it will hurt to give it up for a week or 2. This LCS SK-19 in .22 is a “F’N” Force to be reconed with. I have some serious high end air guns and it is a serious competitor. Why the .25 is always thrown out there maybe because of the poly barrel and the misconception that the .25 is better! I don’t know...all i know is everything I put crosshairs on is on the ground with no idea what just happened. This 12 grove LW barrel is exceptional to say the least and the tune-ability is second to none. Did I hit the barrel lottery???Hell man....I don’t know....All I know is if it’s in the scope...it’s done. AOA should hook you up for real with one. I really don’t want to give up mine because I think I would go thru withdraw! My Liberty’s were always my go to’s even over the highly modified Gauntlets...and hold their own with some of my FCs which shot lights out to 80-85 yards...this thing is amazing. No...I seldom use the full auto feature to be real. Semi provides fast follow ups and is absolutely deadly when pesting with wind and variables. Hands down this may be the best hunting rifle ever created. Everything just gets God Smacked. And I’m not even talking about FX Hybrid slugs...holy cow...really. We need a review on this caliber and on this platform so knuckle heads don’t waist their money on garbage. Hammerless, 1 dial and done., chronograph and the pellet of choice and you sir you are golden. What else do they need? Really...this maybe the best platform out there for airgunners with a few bucks in their pockets to throw at their hobby or way of life they love....I can tell you this sir...it beats the hell out of Zanex!!! Take care my friend, stay safe, and God bless!
Great video man! Love the .35 impact. Can’t wait for my preorder to become available! Keep making some videos with the .35 impact and shoot some of the jsb exact .35 for us so we can have a comparison of the fx jsb vs the jsb exacts!
@@shooter1721 utah air guns is telling me the 35 is a different internals than the 25.. they are trying to sell me on a NSA probe kit with a stock weighted hammer... he says the 35 with any other caliber will be an Airhog"" because it has such a heavy hammer weight and 2 spacers infront of a heavier spring aswell... any info is appreciated. thanks i love your videos.
I think I am going to break down and sell my P556 and my UZI and get the FX. That is the only way to get enough money to buy one but I think it will be worth it.
Thanks for getting back to me. Would you recommend that model for the .357 impact? Do you feel it is too long? Or is it necessary to keep it quite? I thought about getting a shorter Donny FL moderator for my Impact .357.@@shooter1721
I'm curious, the case that the .35 comes with, is it similar to other custom FX cases or is it some after market knock-off? I saw a video where a fella said his 35 came in a cheap, after-market case (and now that video has disappeared..). Trouble is, I can't get an answer one way of the other from anyone who sells the 35...
have you received the gun yet? i just ordered mine i noticed it says your is on the way about a month ago. they're saying two months from yesterday. their website says august 18th they will be in stock.
@@truescotsman4103 Hey now! Yes I got mine from the vendor two weeks ago. I've set it up with Saber Tactical gear and DonnyFL moderator. I love how hard this thing hits. Makes the others look like toys in comparison.(disclaimer* comparison only)
@@donterpleonebtc6895 that's encouraging i appreciate the response thank you. i have a benjamin armada its a pretty nice gun but .22 is a little underpowered for what my needs are. im looking forward to making this a 100yd+ gun and keep the armada for stuff in the 30yd range. the armada is a great gun very accurate and powerful.
@@shooter1721 I noticed some eggs at the store are now labeled "Free Range Eggs". I just hate to see eggs in close captivity, (like the egg carton, how cruel). The world is going mad. Mad I say. :)
Hi rick ✋🏻 My fx impact 35 cal the speed is 856 I have no accuracy I feel the pellet so heavy I saw that u list ur speed for 915 It’s okay to Raise it up with 900 /920
Awesome space to shoot...hope people realize that unless they have such space that is not a back yard gun...that will go through a house wall n kill your neighbor watching TV...great vid as always 👍👊
Not only is it regulated with a larger plenum shot tank, (which lets you run lower PSI for the shot of equal energy), but the gun is fully tune-able with exterior controls that allows you to put on a .177 barrel, (8fpe-30pfe), to every caliber to .35 cal. Can you think of a better gun for a pesting service? The most versatile, the most shot count, (40 with the .35 @ 135fpe, and hundreds with the .177), probably the most accurate and the most power/cal., light weight,---with quality workmanship,--makes this one hell of a great gun IMO.
@@alouiciousjackson5812 You can't expect the leaders of any industry to be inexpensive compared to the losers and copiers on the market. Plus, if this gun cost just over a grand, I am sure it would not be engineered or manufactured nearly as well, and have the quality standards of Hatsan or some china made knock off. Now if you want the best guns in different calibers, with this gun, a different caliber only costs about $400.00, (for a barrel swap). If a person had 3 other brand guns right now with different calibers for their pesting/hunting, this gun is better than all of them, takes up less room in your gun cabinet, and probably costs less. It is a lot of money for a guy who has the guns they need, but for me with no PCP's yet, (and may start a part time pesting service in the future), I think it is a bargain. The only other PCP I would want/need is a bigger bore for Deer hunting, (Even this this gun is legal for deer in Michigan, because the state only specifies a min bore diameter, (.357"), and not energy. There is the dysfunction of the state for you. I can blow a .357 pellet through a straw, and be legal in Michigan for Deer. :)
Plus, if you use different caliber barrels on this one gun for your shooting, (instead of different guns), look at the money you save on scopes. It is no wonder to me why I see posts of people saying they are going to sell 2 or three guns to get this one. Don't forget to sell the scopes you will no longer need with them. :) With the amazing shot count of the gun also, with the same amount of shots fired, you will save wear and tear on your compressor. :) All kinds of savings that can justify the cost for most avid shooters IMO.
Won’t be long before air rifles will be controlled by FFL the way the air gun industry is going! And then say goodbye to the air gun sport that we all love! Just a thought 😎
It happens every time government gets involved with an industry that free people built. Not almost every time, ----every time. I agree, now is the best time to enjoy as much freedom as you can in this industry.
I just looked it is in the gun room it is that way perfectly installed . It should not show but it does . I do see what you are saying . Good catch ...but you don’t get that kind of accuracy if it’s not installed properly .
@@shooter1721 i dismounted some fx barrels and they have a sleeve in the barrel. Hope it is installed deep enough i'm not sure you got it wrong but it sure looks like it and it was properly installed in your 25 januari video. ;-) Goodluck
Now I am told a 4-6 month wait for the .35 cal, (shorter wait for smaller cal.) and you have to cough up 3 bills to get on a waiting list with no date of delivery. If FX was actually producing and shipping anytime within the last 4 months, (after the introduction vid by FX), we would see a lot more You-Tube vids of people who actually bought one. It looks like FX has adopted the Umerex Hammer business model, (all show, no delivery). Taking money for a product that is not being produced, is the type of stuff that legally puts a business out of business. Have you guys ever heard of "through put" or an "assembly line"? Your factory was not shut down, (Sweden did not shut down for the scam virus), but who could tell by the retail sales? 4-6 months. I would have had this gun 3 months ago if you actually produced them. Go pack sand!
