Our patented battery isolation system provides a secure battery connection and controls vibration
transmitted to the pack. Tri-LEDs surround the anvil to deliver brighter light with fewer shadows.
4-Mode DRIVE CONTROLTM offers greater precision with a range of pre-set RPM and IPM levels,
selectable from a single button on the tool. By selecting Mode 4, AUTO SHUT-OFFTM control applies
no more than 50 ft-lbs of torque for hand-tight fastening applications to prevent overtightening.
Mode 4 also features Bolt Removal Control that delivers our users full torque output, then decreases
RPMs once the bolt is loosened to prevent fastener drops. The 1/2" Friction Ring design allows for

@3941602 See the following; note they replaced mine with a older design for free "We have recently learned that a number of users are experiencing issues with their 2767-20 ½” High Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring, and quickly launched an in-depth investigation to understand the claims. Upon investigation, 2 distinct issues were uncovered: We recently implemented a new mechanical design in the model 2767-20. This new design is distinguished by “H96B” in the serial code. This new design has not held up to the Milwaukee name and will no longer be sold. Our developmental testing of this mechanism did not reveal the symptoms described by users, but the feedback is clear, and our decision to replace product is ultimately the right thing to do for them. We will continue to produce the original design that has been on the market for years, that is distinguished by “H96A” in the serial code. We will immediately stop production of the new design distinguished by “H96B” in the serial code. There are also variances in electrical tolerances that may cause some tools to “stutter”. This was exacerbated by the new mechanical design in 2767-20 inventory that is distinguished by “H96B” in the serial code. If users are experiencing an issue, they are encouraged to send their tool in for repair or replacement by utilizing our eService portal - *redacted*. All products with the “H96B” distinction on the serial code will be replaced with “H96A”."

@@3941602They changed the gearing replacing some of it with three pins to hold it together that would easily shear off. It was a cost cutting exercise that pretty much blew up in their faces, so they had to backtrack pretty quickly. I love Milwaukee, but that was a dirty move on their part.

Well After 6 years the Current Generation M18 High Torque is going bye bye! Hopefully it will have better torque and fix some issues the 2nd gens had

How is Gen 3 compare to Gen 1? I love the Gen 1 reliability. I was going upgrade to Gen 2 but i did some research. I know they changed the internal gears and it breaks easy.

I just purchased the 2967-21b and it’s okay. Got stranded with tight lug nuts so it was time to stop dragging my feet. 😒

I don't know.... he stated it has a power of 1100 tightening and 1500 loosening when using the XC 5.0 battery. I bet that if you put a Forge battery on a Gen2, you would see the same numbers. Often times a battery battery will increase performance a little bit.

It's higher with the Forge battery...much higher. Remember the power of the new 6.0 Forge battery is meant to take the place of the heavy 12.0 battery.

Torque test channel tested the 2767 with forge to 813ft lbs loosening, 801 with an hd 12.0, and 778 with an xc 5.0. The 2967 did 920ftlbs with the forge and 891 with the xc5.0.
