Also, while at home depot i checked out the M18 3/8 compact and it really feels good. I really liked it. I would slap the 3.0 battery on it.

It is 1200 ft-lb of fastening torque with the Forge battery. It did 2500 ft-lbs in the review that you mention.

Don’t waste your money on the Milwaukee combo 2967-22 for $499. If you want the power of the impact rated for, get the forge battery kit, or just buy the impact. Milwaukee put the old 5.0 ah and their regular slow ass charger with the impact to fool you. If your not buying the forge battery with it, than don’t bother. Just buy the gen2 impact with the 5.0ah battery cause you’re going to get the same power. I own 3 Milwaukee gen2 1/2 inch impact and now have just bought two new 2967-20. Believe there’s no different if you don’t buy the new forge battery. Milwaukee should give you two forge instead of the two 5.0 ah.

Torque test channel tested them with both batteries and it was a better impact even with the old 5ah batteries

I think the new Forge 12.0 batteries will fit on the drill so there is no over hang. We will see.

The batteries that came with the impact are oil resistant. that is the difference.

Ok guys, i broke down and blew a grand total of 523.00 at Home Depot for the 2967 and the charger and battery kit. I purchased the tool only and the charger kit separately so i didnt get the plastic case which i dont need because my new tool is going in my tool box.
