It’s funny how a lot of reviews are of a guy sitting in cluttered storage shed with a brand new never used tool telling us whatever the manufacture says or what online forum people say, when all the can really tell us is how well the damn thing was packaged! Thanks for the video. It’s refreshing. Being a tech How the hell am I supposed to judge a tool watching someone drive a lag bolt into a 4x4!Subscribed.

How to Automotive I think I will go with the mid torque 1/2” friction ring. I have a ct761 14.4v 3/8 that comes out of my box for pretty much every single job. I absolutely love it. Then I have my mg725 air gun. I think the mid torque is the perfect one I need. If I need, anything more I’ll use air. I think the mid torque will be a good size and very useful. Thanks for the review!

Great review! I was told by a Milwaukee rep at a tool show that the lid torque is really designed for automotive work. If you are working on heavy trucks or driving long lags into pilings or something then you should get the high torque, but the mid torque will generally handle any automotive application. For light duty stuff I personally prefer the m12 fuel impact wrench, but that's another whole battery platform. Great video, I can't wait to get my mid torque impact!

awesome video. I am a DIY mechanic. Honestly the midtorque 1/2" and 3/8" are the ones to get. The high torque is very strong, but incredibly heavy and bulky. the midtorque is the best value in my opinion.
@HowtoAutomotive
@HowtoAutomotive 7 лет назад
Bigchuck678 I think you're spot on with the Mid Torque. There is a new high torque coming out soon that are supposed to be smaller in size and 300 foot pounds more torque.

I am getting ready to upgrade my pnumatic CH 250 Impact gun to a cordless impact because it is just struggling to even remove lugnuts now. Darn thing is over 20 years old now. I have more than got my money's worth out of it. My truck is slightly older than my impact gun so you can imagine the amount of rusted bolts I have to deal with on a regular basis. My son told me to shop Milwaukee tools, but with all the different options I was scratching my head on what I need for my shade tree car repairs. This video has pin pointed exactly what I need for my little home shop to keep my cars repaired easily. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. @@HowtoAutomotive The mid-torque looks to be the one I'm most likely to need. I'm buying it primarily to work on suspension(and of course lugnuts). I saw in your video that the smaller one didn't really have enough power to get some of the suspension parts apart. I'm floored that electric battery powered impact guns have this amount of power. I was pricing out comparable air tank systems and it seems like they cost about twice as much for the same amount of power. I also really liked in the video that you gave so many different examples, so we viewers would know which would fit what situation. I'm very excited to get one of these, just gotta convince the significant other that its necessary. : )

Great video!! I just upgraded my shop to all 3 of these guns.. and I also got the M12 3/8 and 1/2 ratchets as well as I was tired of a noisy compressor hoses scattered everywhere for what a high capacity compressor would have cost these guns are a sound upgrade and they are mobile for traveling to junkyards/salvage yards I still carry a breaker bar/with cheater bar but so far rarely needed. I did do some interesting torque tests.. so far I haven’t had a project that’s required a battery recharge mid project I do have 5 batteries of different sizes of batteries just for gun weight issues was super useful on exhaust pipe removal and muffler install these are must have tools for anyone who is either a novice or a professional if your tired of noisy compressors and air hoses and or electrical cords scattered everywhere then the Milwaukee line is for you!!

Yes I believe part number 2852-22ct I referenced is the 3/8 mid torque with friction ring 450/600 lb tq with 2 2.0 battery packs which is plenty for what I would need them for. Plus it would be lighter and smaller with these batteries to get into even tighter spots. Might look also at adding the 3/8 m12 ratchet. Subscribed and looking forward to additional videos. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the reply

I got me the stubby for everyday use and the high torque for the ones that don’t want to come off and the torch for the ones that are dead lol

I'm thinking the mid torque, but I like them all. I don't have any. Although my dad would prefer the high torque since there are some very stubborn bolts. My dads minivan needs the front shocks changed and last time I changed some suspension parts in my miata, I was not feeling so great from all that work without one of these. I don't do this sort of work often, but sometimes you have to fix your car. I don't have one but I will keep an eye on them. There's no way I'm doing anything else under any car without something like this. Those make the work look much easier. LOL.

Im a technician on small trucks and i use the smaller one but in 1/2" and the high torque all day every day. Love them. Yet to have something the high torque wont do. Never get air tools out anymore.

I want to see them both in person for actual size in hand. They look similar from the video but it’s hard to tell. I have the Gen 1 high impact already. I was planning on getting the 3/8 but if the mid impact is similar in size, I’m wondering if I should get that so I can deal with stubborn bolts where I can’t fit the high impact. Or should I just get the 3/8 to balance out my high impact? Thoughts? (I’ve watched the video 3 times trying to decide lol)

Thanks for really good video, definetly going for mid torque version (1/2"). As i have high power air impact for rest of the bolts which mid torque cannot open.
