Love Y'all too Shane! The meat birds look great as does the new Ruby Crisps. Thanks for the tips for first year growing. The other Muscadines are looking beautiful. God bless Y'all!
great little video. Glad you posted this one because mines at the same stage. Most of mine have the stronger vine in the middle of the vine. Top ones are way behind. Seems like the lower and middle of the pant started producing buds first. I guess it's ok so I'm just gonna keep the most vigorous one even if it's in the middle of the vine and let it go. Like you I had one that I thought was dead. It's just now budding out. It's a good 3 1/2 to 4 weeks behind the other 3 plants.
Lol. Few years back I ran over Mia in my truck and we had to rush her to UGA Veterans hospital to save her and they told us she might not be able to have pups. We've tried every cycle with no luck so it's ok.
I was unable to purchase Ruby Crisp from Isons. I had my order in the first day the muscadines went on sale. I will try again. I would love to have some also. Blessings!
It surely is good to see you!!! An update on you and Kim every now and then, would be nice. I hope you and your family have a blessed weekend! I love you all! ✌️💖🙏🕊️🇺🇲🤜
Hey Shane thanks for another great video, had a question about the Ruby Crisp. I pre-ordered some this year from Ison to add to my little Vineyard, I was watching a video on the ruby crisp from Patrick Conner on RU-vid he's saying not to put on any grapes in the second year either because this particular variety can get out of balance if you do and it is hard to recover from it, just wondering if you have heard this and if I shouldn't put grapes on in year 2, thanks for any advice in advance!
Ok I watched that video. Watch it again. He's saying that they can over crop and put stress on the vine and the following year it may not produce. Me personally I will be eating grapes 2nd yr. but I will keep an eye out if they seem to be heavy on the grapi will cull some off. Self fertle grapes always produce heavy. Isons would load up but I never cut fruit back and never had a problem.
Question for you Shane? Do you use the spray around your other fruit bearing plants like your blackberries. I bought a Pomegranate bush from Isons last year and already have small Pomegranates on it!
Hey, Shane. When the vine reaches the wire, you say to pinch off the end. Are you talking about the long hair like growth, and are you pinching it completely off? Thanks!!
Shane, found your channel months ago. My 3 vines I planted in November just took off to start with but have stalled. Was wondering how much you water your first year plants? I'm in North Central Florida. Heat has been approaching 90 every day. Thanks.
Thanks Shane for the video! :) Mine are at this stage. I planted 10 back in November, looks like two might not have survived. Do you think it's too late to replace those two? Also, I'm using the blue grow tubes right now. Do you recommend those on first year plants?
The rows are 10 ft wide so you can cut grass up and down the row. Space your plants 20 ft apart. They should grow 10 ft. each direction from the main truck of the plant
