Today was a beautiful day to test my new biocomposite Scythian from Grozer,Its a 48# at 28"(about 50-52# at my draw),again a very sweet bow, lovely curves and very pleasant to shoot,it throws 500 grain wood arrows with authority. It pinches little bit with three fingers,so its rather suitable for thumbrelease, which is why bought it.
The grip was little bit difficult to get use to at the begining and i realize after, that i was overdrawing my usual drawlenght.I got better groupings when i adjusted it.

Just got my biocomposite Scythian few weeks back. I find it surprisingly comfortable to and accurate to shoot. There's a bit of handshock compare to Assyrian but it mostly disappeared when I relax my bow hand and use a low grip. String pinch not a problem I use 2 finger under arrow. Thanks for the recommendation. Loving it.

Impressive shooting! How does the Scythian compare to the Assyrian? Do you feel handshock? Are you able to get arrows flying straight? I wish to get the Scythian but worried that the low brace height with make tuning difficult.

Johan Pinheiro Beautiful!!! How fortunate some of us are to live with such wonderful vista's. I live in the Rocky Mountains USA. Fabulous bow, by the way.

Is the bicomposites as sensitive as the legitimate hornbows?

Soviless99 I do not own a hornbow, but as far as i know those biocomposite are much less sensitive than hornbows, and you don't need to correct them after putting the string. You can check this guy's video on assyrian hornbow: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eYbKUGJQJdA.html

Thanks. Ive literally eye'd the bicomposite scythian since it first came out back then. because its affordable, natural materials, and looks authentic to the bows on attic vases rather than fiberglass scythians bows. But the matenance has always been a put off for hornbows for me and their price.

Thanks for the comment Jimmy.I sent the Assyrian for repair(nothing serious, just a slightly twisted siyah),so i haven't been shooting it for a month, but i can say the Assyrian feels more comfortable and its more forgiving. There is more handshock on the Scythian,i think due to the small size, the shape and the string bridges, but its ok.The biggest difficulty so far for me is to adapt my grip to the curved handle, when i draw the bow it wants to tilt up so i have to use a high grip to balance it.So it doesn't forgive a bad release or a bad form..and it stacks quite a bit at 29.5 inches, for that its better to use snap shooting,i still have to work my technic anyways...I didn't "tuned" the arrows yet,but when my grip is ok i get a pretty descent flight with the ones i use for the assyrian. These are 460 grain carbon heritage 250,and 500 grain,60-65# spined cedar shafts, but i'm still searching for the sweet spot for the nocking point...The low brace height doesn't seem to be very problematic for now,but it is a new bow,so i still have to get used to it.

Johan Pinheiro Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The arrows looks to be flying fast and straight. Accuracy is really good at those distances. I have the new laminated Turkish it draws real smoothly despite being shorter than Assyrian. A little more shock than Assyrian but not uncomfortable or noticeable on its own. Be careful using other strings like flemish fast flight may cause problems with these bows.
