Thats a great looking car, well done Honda. Please build it like this and dont turn the orosmduction model unto an SUV like Ford with the Capri. As you say Ben, "WE NEED MORE CARS".
Pinnacle of driving yes, not the example of what Honda stood for cheap effective transport starting retro fitting surplus generators to bicycles, bikes lead until their first pickup Kei - mini truck.
I'd argue the EF Civic Si hatch was closer to the "everything" but showpieces like the NSX and AP1 S2000 did a lovely job of showing their regular customers where their values stood.
It was great seeing it in person, gutted I couldn’t clamber in, I’d expect Civic powertrain bored out 😀 mind you we’ll have to wait and see George, thank you
I like the clean lines of the design of the new prelude. I'm just not sure about the nose part, need to see in it in real life before I make my judgement. Having said that...look at that NSX!!
The problem is cars are way to slow for the price these days. They had a civic type r in the 90s that wasn't much slower for way cheaper, counting inflation of course.
The challenge is they now need a ton of safety to sell, increasing weight and price, back in ek9 times virtually nothing, plus automotive inflation in the last 10 years or so has gone ballistic... previously normal ish
@@PlanetautoUK Actually, other videos and images of the concept make it appear it will in fact be a liftback - there is a cut line on the roof just behind the 3rd brake light, and it was noted in another video that the rear glass flows into the rear trunk lid rather than under it - so 99% sure from what we've seen it is a hatch/liftback similar to what the old RSX/Integra, Eclipse, and Celica coupes were.
@@PlanetautoUK There is 1 photo of the interior that was taken "by accident" when they opened the door posted on the New Prelude forums showing unique seats with a two tone color scheme, push button shifter setup, and similar but unique dash design from the civic/integra.
@PlanetautoUK heard they are only doing EV here in the US Japan may have the hybrid. Like the US models don't have ambient lighting in the doors like Japan does. Fact check me cause I just got a 2025 accord and if that's the case you just made me get buyers remorse haha
