Definitely the black chair. Adds a little pop, you can always rest the chair up against the wall there to access your drawer anytime and also add a faux fur chair rug on it for style.

I like the black chair! I feel like the other one isn't functional, doesn't seem high enough to perform the function you need. I get that it looks tucked away, but when you want to sit, the black chair will work much better.

I know you’ve already picked the black chair by now, but I wanted to say I agree that the white ottoman looks good pushed in, like if you weren’t going to use one and it was just to fill up the space like under the table in your entry way, but for actual function, the black is the clear winner. And it looks great, too! You could sit to start with and lay out on the counter the things that you’re going to use that day while you’re standing. It all looks great!

Hi Ashley, Its wonderful watching as you turn your new house into a home. I think I would change out both those chairs, get one the same colour as the black one but without a back, that way it will move like the black one but fit under the bench like the white one, then you can open your drawer. 😁
