Man, I want the modelling and scripting tools so badly. I made little games before, but I imagine it must be way easier to make stuff in-game and way easier to find an audience for it
Protection against fire would definitely be possible if the Kweebecs stay hydrated because green wood cannot catch fire. Thus, their homes being set up near water makes a TON more sense!
I honestly think Kweebecs will be my favorite faction. I usually play druid characters in DND and practice Wicca irl. It just seems so magical and natural.
My favorite are the Feran and probably will stay that way upon release. The rugged and savage freedom loving tribal society is alway attractive to me. I usually play as a barbarian, wizard, or cleric in DnD myself and love me some old fashioned conan styles so that explains me. I love the savage, the brutal, the untamed, and the mystical.
Omg the ending haha. Maybe kweebecs eat fruit too is my guess? Guess we’ll find out. Also about sungwood where they sing to make wood grow that makes me really interested in how it’ll sound in their village when they’re singing. I’m really curious to hear their different sound tracks. Maybe there’s a day and night ost plus one for growing sungwood?
Important things to me for caring about Hytale: 1. Do not be F2P. 2. Do not be online-only. 3. Does't have an intrusive DRM like Valorant have, Enigma or DENUVO. 4. It have to be playable nativelly on Linux or at least run under PROTON/WINE. 5. On windows, don't be UWP/Windows Store exclusive 6. (Not a dealbreaker, but...) if it become disponible on Steam and works on Steam Deck, even better, but if isn't, i'm ok. If it doesn't do 1 to 5 i won't even consider playing it (like Valorant).
2 doesn't even make sense since online is indeed one of their priorities but not nearly as much as single player or creative mode +hytale isn't even close to release so the other 5 aren't exactly their biggest worry
The horns the Kweebec is playing remind me of the horns you get when transformed into a deku sprout and playing a song in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
have been steadily following this game for a VERY long time, but id be lying if i said i still had the same amount hype for this game i once did. but none the less am still looking very much forward to this game
I can imagine Kweebec’s to be fire resistant as they are living trees, and therefore full of water. Dead trees burn way better because they're dried out.
Dude I legit can’t wait for this game,I legit said at the announcement of Hytale that Hytale will break the internet when it releases,because it sure looks big,fun,creative and just many many more! So excited for this game.
Damn I really hope all these interactions the npcs seem to have in the art are in the actual game! Maybe it'd get too complex and they would have to tone it down a bit, but it'd feel so alive and cool. Also other possibilities like, what would happen if you kill all these kwebecs? What if you bring a lot of enemies to their community? What if you burn the trees?

Maybe Hytale is being smart rather than dumb, they are not showing most gameplay because of a proper reason, the trailer. Look at GTA 6 It was the most hyped game with a multi billion company, Rockstar games in which some leaks were also made. Whereas Hytale team is small community, so they can be releasing the gameplay as planned. They ARE going to release it with gameplay never seen before, even better than the trailer they have announced. So, I have high hopes for Hytale.
Someone should make a city life Roleplay server called HyLife. Recently been watching a lot of GTA RP on twitch and I'd love to see something like that in Hytale.
I think this can again be the perfect timing moment, as it took all the Minecraft's resurrection age to create engine, and they can again start becoming popular now that minecraft is slowly losing popularity again! Maybe minecraft will fall under the new not 100% copy clones? That would be kind of cool
when speedrunning becomes a thing, I actually hope to be a part of that, I've always found speedrunning to be a wildly interesting thing and how it'll develop in hytale interests me to no end. I'm assuming decently powerful weapons would be implemented in some way or specific playstyles will be the norm for speedrunning but I also expect to be the start of running to be an extreme scramble is everybody tries to come up with the most effective strategy to do so and refines it overtime with new strats. I'm expecting with the amount of games content and the fact we don't know how the worlds generation works and etc that the first speedrun's will be decently fast but nowhere near the limit. I'm expecting the first runs to be an hour+ maybe it ultimately depends on how big the game actually is and if there is any crazy bugs/exploits that can be exploited and if hytale lets the speedrunning scene run free or if they have to interfere once in a while when we find something truly gamebreaking. ultimately I expect them to not really be scared of how people play their game even if its not the intended vision. I just don't see them being the kind of devs that are like "NO OUR GAME GETS PLAYED THIS WAY AND NO OTHER WAY" and interfering much, there will be some cases where they have to interfere, I'm sure but not to the extent where they have an arms race with speedrunning like some games. I'm also expecting a nearly huge amount of categories about as big as minecraft. either way, I'm glad riot with their big layoff that happened recently ultimately left hytale studios alone. they seem to have put their chips down towards hytale being more of a success then their other recent endeavors, I couldn't be happier with that decision as I think they are making a good bet.
This was addressed by John Hendricks directly on twitter. He said that was outside of Hypixel Studios and had no impact on them whatsoever. You may rest easy now. :)
I am most excited to see if there will be an RLCraft mod to Hytale 😂 I am sure I will love the original version too. I look forward to the custom content. Players make the best stuff!

Hi, in which language is Hytale now written? I have heard somewhere C# and somewhere else C++ so I am not sure. Maybe we know something else about underlying technologies? I also wonder if Hytale will be avaiable on linux/steamdeck, and, if so, will it be native linux port or through "proton".

I was scared I will have shitty pc when hytale will be out but so much years passed I bought super powerful pc(laptop) that I am happy that they took their time but in the same time I am sad :')

I have heard about this hytale before I don't know why but the graphic of it bothers me a bit Idk why though I'm not really graphics guy maybe it's the art style I'm not sure but I hope it becomes a great game

No, kweebecs eating plants is not cannibalism, much like how a fish eating a different fish is not cannibalism Humans have a tendency to lump similar creatures in together Would eating a monkey be considered cannibalism? No, but most people would likely be uncomfortable at the concept, however monkeys are closer to us than say… a pig, and we’re fine with eating them, so why wouldn’t the kweebecs be okay with eating plants? If they do consider it cannibalism, they most likely still eat the fruits and won’t prevent people from eating the fruits unless the fruit is dangerous, as the fruit is part of the plant’s reproductive cycle
i will love a game that looks like minecraft but more detailed like better lighting better animation make it feel alive and i cant wait to mod it i want to add more dragons if they don't with everything a dragon can do tail swipe bite scratch a ground pound attack
Hytale Beta near the end of 2024 or early 2025 and then release somewhere in 2025 s early 2026 the latest or I will just drop the game entirely (I will be 26 by then for the love of god finish the game)
