I just finished filling out my 1-485 on 08/17/2023. This video made that possible. I’m super thankful to the creator of this video you did an awesome job explaining and going step by step.❤️
Thank you kseniya, with the help of your detailed videos, I filed by myself and now and now I've been approved, no interview. The process took 7 months🎉
Hi Kseniya, I want to take the time to thank you for all the efforts put into this. Your channel is amazing and has been a tremendous support for my process, you have made this easier for me and less stressful. Some people think that just lawyers can do this, but if you have a good comprehensive view of the process like you have it, every person can do their own forms. Thank you so much!!!
@@KseniyaInternational please my visa is k1 for marriage and my last name changed so should I sign with my married name even though it is not the same name on the passport? with the married name I only have the marriage certificate. thank you very much
I've like and followed you, thank you so much for the enlightenment and may you keep on the uppy. However, I would.like to ask, at one of the questionnaires towards the end of the page with the multiple questions about criminal records/intentions to commit same, as a B1/B2 visa holder who's changing status, should I answer yes to having violated the terms of my visa? Thanks.
Hi I really want to day thank you for posting the step to complete this form. I submitted my application this month and now I got an biometric appointment already..I did it without a lawyer so I really wanted to say thank you for helping me. Merry Christmas 🎉❤
I want to thank you for all the videos you provided. It really helped me and my husband out. We got approved in a little over 3 months, no interview. Thank you again.
Hi Kseniya, just want to say thank you for such a hard work you had done. I am preparing my case step-by-step using your videos and USCIS tips, and only want to let you know that because of you I feel confident and calm in this issue
Hi, for 16 and 17 I always select yes even if the applicant has a social. This question is not for the social to send you a new social now. This question is for when the applicant's I485 is approved, the social will update the social card they have (which usually states not valid without dhs authorization), and they will issue the applicant a new social card (same number, but no limitations as the status changed)
very detailed step by step breakdown. Although I'm completing the i-485 which expires 10/31/2025, it was very relevant. Saved me a ton of attorney fees. Thank you.
I want to thank you for all your videos. I followed your video carefully and filed I130 online then I485 for my parents last April and they received their greencard last week without any hiccups...Save me a lot of trouble/time/$$ trying to find a lawyer...
Hi Kseniya, I would like to let you know that the form I-485 has been updated and there are some new fields added to the form. It would me great if you can update the video as per the new form.
You're awesome and super human being taking time to teach people is trying to fill all the forms without paying to it.Nowadays money is short for the majority of people. Thanks so much ♥
Hi Kseniya. Thanks for all your videos. I filed the I-130 online using your other video. I am now filling the I-485. I have completed the form itself. I was wondering if you have video instructions on preparing all the supporting documents needed for I-485 (photographs, etc). I know you have one for both I-130 and I-485 together, but since I already did I-130 online, I need instructions on what all I need to submit along with form I-485. Can you help?
Hello Ksenia! Your channel is the best for filling out the forms - thank you ! Quick question. I was once a permanent resident and was assigned an A number. Now I'm a citizen and I don't know if I still need to write my A number on the forms. Do I still have an A number if I became a citizen??? Hope you can give me an answer (or anyone, who had such experience).
Hi Kseniya, i wanted to thank you for all your hard work you put into the channel, and clarity on all the videos you upload. I followed all your instructions and wanted to let you know that I was able to get my wife the green card in 6 months. If you ever are in the Orlando area dinner is on us. Thank you, thank you ,
Hello Kseniya, First off, Thank you for all of your very helpful videos. I was curious if you will be doing an updated I-485 video since the form was updated?
Hi Kseniya thank you for this video I’m a U.S. citizen applying for my husband , he overstayed his Visitor visa and has worked here in multiple jobs (not legally of course) should we list all these places ? Would that not affect his chances of getting his card ? I really appreciate the answer to this . Thank you
Kseniya, I wanted to congratulate you for such a throughout video. Its so complete, and visual, it answered all my doubts and questions. Extremely helpful and informative, thank you❤
really very help full video and clear understanding USCIS help line also not helping but watching this video I got information . Thank you so much .God bless you.
Hello Kseniya I can't begin to express how grateful I am for your assistance. Your very existence and the videos you have posted on your channel has made life so much better, easier for most if not all of us who are confused about filing petitions. I have tried watching other youtubers but non compares to you my lady. ❤❤❤❤❤ Sent from my Galaxy
Ksenya no tengo palabras suficientes para agradecerte!!! your Knowledge and your videos are very helpfull for many people, even the Latin Comunities that can understand besides the language barrier, it is a tresure to have you here!... Question: Can I leave blank spaces when not applicable?
I’ve binged watched every single one of your videos the last few days. Thank you so much for breaking down all this information and blessing so many in the process. What is your recommendation for undocumented workers who have been consistently in the job market?
Good Morning, Thank you very much for this great video. You are helping me to save money. I cant thank you enough. Question!! My NIW I-140 application is approved and i did not apply through employer, do i have to select (Yes or No) for INA section 245(i). Thank you

Hi Kseniya. Thank you for this very helpful video. It was just the right information I needed. I have a question though. I downloaded the same version of form I-485 as yours on the video. However, I noticed some of the fields on mine are not fillable online unlike yours. For example, Part 1, 25.a. It will allow me to check that I was inspected at the point of entry but will not allow me to fill in what status I was admitted as. I have tried opening it with Adobe pdf reader and also Chrome and Edge browsers with no luck. Please what application did you use to open and fill out your form in the video? Can I print and then use a pen to fill out the fields that are not allowing me to fill out online?
Thank you very much for the detailed instructions, do you have a video where you talk about what documents I have to provide with this form ( ID, tax returns, marriage certificate, etc)? thx
Ksenia, you have been a thorough lifesaver and a true Rockstar at this end of RU-vid. You're the best. I would be so grateful if you could help me with a quick question, which is, Can I, as the I-30 petitioner for my parents, also be the Preparer & Interpreter at PART 10, 11and 12.? I have found mixed answers on other forums online, I am really counting on your feedback to proceed. Hope you have a great day!
Hey, my mother has entered USA on a visitor’s visa and her I-94 is valid till 04/22/2023. I have submitted an I-130 online for her and have got the I-130 receipt notice. I have mailed her I-485 application to USCIS which was delivered on March 15th. USCIS will issue me an I-485 Receipt notice once they start working on my mother’s I-485 application but that may take some time. My Question is, Will my mother be able to stay legally in USA after 04/22/2023 if she does not get the I-485 receipt notice till then. Thanks for making these super useful videos.
Hi Kseniya, awesome videos, they helped me soooo much! Question: I'm the petitioner and I'm filling this out for my wife and I'm the US Citizen. I'm also obviously translating it to her. Do I put myself down as the interpreter AND the preparer? Or just the preparer? I don't want the interviewer to question her and they'll obviously know she doesn't speak English and I didn't do the interpreter part. Thanks!!
Hi Kseniya. Thanks for the hard work you have done. MY QUESTION: at about 31:40 in your video you are saying about the guide on how to answer those additional questions in section 8. Can you share the link to that video? I cannot find it in your playlist
Thankyou so much for all the Videos . I do have 1 question , is that okay to leave some of the fields as blank which is not applicable to us like middle name & other names used etc . ? or do i need to put “N/A”?
What does part 3 (Question 1) mean, exactly? It asks if I have ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent residency at a US embassy or consulate abroad. I answered yes to this question because my wife and I applied (i-130 family visa -immediate relatives) while we were both living outside the US (in Australia - she is a US citizen). However, the petition was approved only after we arrived in the USA (three months ago). It has since gone to the NVC and we need to schedule an interview in Sydney (which we can't go to for a variety of reasons). If I have yet to attend an interview in Sydney, do I write "yes" or "no"? (I haven't sent my form yet)
Hi Kseniya, PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER. 1. My Parents OverStay Visa and they entered to the US with B2 visa, which vas printed in their old passport. They entered the US with new passport and show the Visa inside the old one. What information should they write on "Recent Immigration History Section". It ask passport and Visa number. I think I should provide last passport information, write N/A in visa field , and in additional information explain that visa is inside the old passport, and provide scans of old passport and visa. 2. Regarding Public Charge information. My parent leave with me now, they are unemployed, since do not have EA yet. What I should put in household numbers? I'm married and have 3 kids, so my house hold is 5 + 2 and include my house hold income ? or I should count them separate and indicate 2 with and no income? 3. I'm filling in i-485 for them, should I provide G-28? or it is only for attorneys. Should I write my name as a interpreter or preparer?
Hello Kseniya, thx for your video, we used it for a friend. I have a question about Form I-485 part 8, question 17. Have you ever violated the terms or conditions of your non-immigrant status? She checked NO by mistake instead of YES. What to do now that the form was received
Hi Kseniya, thank you so much for such valuable video! I have a question about the foreign address. Should it be written/typed in it's original form if it's not in English? Or should I translate words like: street, avenue etc?
Hi Kseniya, thank you for such a great work. Quick question: if you are preparing for your four-year-old child's application. Are you a preparer, interpreter, or both? Thank you
Please, next time , make a video for each category if you don’t mind and explain each category as it’s being fill out instead of trying to explain if you choose this or if you choose that in the same video trying to explain so many categories at once , witch makes it more confusing , so a 10 minute video doesn’t last forever and make it a little bit more confusing than it actually is , thank you!
Kseniya, Just wanted to thank you for a very detailed instructional video on this topic. However, there is a part that’s a bit confusing. On minute 12 of this video you mentioned that children of US Citizens over the age of 21 are considered Immediate Relatives. Anywhere else that I have researched says that Children over the age of 21 are not immediate relatives. Which is the correct answer? Once again thank you and I hope you answer this question soon to clarify this for anyone that may be having the same issue.
For page 3 in regards to question 25b. I last arrived in the United States through advanced parole. Do I submit as "humanitarian parole' or "advanced parole"?
For part 3 question #19 if I am unemployed over the past 5 years outside of the us, but I’ve got a job long time ago. Should I say unemployed or list the job that I have more than 5 years ago?
Hi. First of all thanks for the video. I have few stupid questions 🤦♂️. 1 in know my father name, as write on my birth certificate, but I don’t have any other info..dob, where it’s now, if he’s still alive… what I should write there? And second one.. my parents divorced when I was 5 months old. What I should write on my mother name? Name from birth certificate and after name used now( she’s birth name), or just birth name. Thanks
Hi Kseniya, Great videos. Your videos are helping me a lot to complete all these forms. I have a quick question. My F1 visa got expired recently but I still have a valid I20 and I'm continuing my study. For Part 1 (27), What is your current immigration status? What should I answer for this question? Thanks!
Hi Kseniya, I can’t thank you enough for this video and help. The information you are sharing so selflessly is valuable. You are helping people improve their lives and that makes you a great human. Thank you! I have a question: I arrived to the country as a tourist (visitor) but adjusted to O-1 and renewed the O-1 status which is what I have now. On item number 25.a. Should I write visitor (tourist) or O-1? I haven’t leave the country ever since I arrived.
Hi, I'm filling up my I-485 today, and My husband is a US Citizen (Active Duty Soldier). 1 - Do I need to fill it up 1 for my kid and another 1 for myself? Another Question 2 - Part 2 question 3-9 I'm completly lost on it. I have a Son that He is not the father.
Hi, Thanks a lot for your videos! my question is, I am not able to write numbers on Part 1/ 26.b. i94 say it's B2 , should I write B and the number in black ink? or replace it with " VISITOR" ??
Thanks Kseniya for all useful information. How many photos we’re supposed to send when sending I-485 and I-131 together? Also is I-693 required for granted asylum?
Regarding the Public Assistance section on page 13, should I be selecting 'yes' or 'no' to receiving public assistance if I haven't received any public assistance other than the recent Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)? If the answer should be 'yes', should I write a short explanation on the PUA I received in the Additional Information page? Thank you so much for your help, Kseniya.
Hi Kseniya! I am so glad that I found your channel! It’s guiding me accordingly what to fill out especially for the tricky part. If you don’t mind, I am stuck to part 6. My mother is already here in the USA as a tourist visa and would like to apply for I-485 so she has 4 kids. On the question “Is this child applying with you? Shall I answer No for those who does not have any petition application? And “yes” to my brother because I apply I-130 for him last year and it’s in progress. I would appreciate your help for this matter. Thank you!
@@KseniyaInternational Awesomeness! Another question if you don’t mind, I am originally from the Philippines. I am now a US Citizen. My mom is visiting me in the US on a tourist visa. (she is already here in the USA) I want to petition for her legal permanent resident status, do I need to fill out an I-130 and I-485 or can I just only fill out I-485?
@@KseniyaInternationalHello and thank you for the videos. Great help. I have a question. I am applying for my mother who is here in the United States. She is retired and I am filling concurrently. I-485. I am not sure I understand the part 1. Whose name should be there? Information about you. Also Part 4: Information about your parents. Which means my mother’s parents?? Please and thank you for responding😊
At the second part where I should provide my outside US work experience do they mean again during 5 years or no? And if we had our way to US through Poland and stayed there for 3 days should I mention it in our address history? Thank you so much for your videos!!!! ❤
Hi, Thank you for the video. It is really useful. COuld you please list the documents required for I485 application which is missing in the video. Thank you
Hi, Knesiya! How you doing? I was reviewing my I-485 application and I marked yes in number 16 Part 8, so my question is: since I marked number 16, did I have to mark the next one, the number 17? I have an interview upcoming by the end of the month 😀 so I’m trying to be prepared as much as I can. Thanks so much for your help, your videos helped me a lot!🤗
Hi Kseniya, Thank you so much for all your videos. Please help me with this question! (Immigrant Category section) Please!
Hiya, thank you for your help with my application, my son is applying for my green card. Hii Kseniya, thanks for the video, super helpful!! I will appreciate if you can help me with the question about public charge, talking about total liabilities, is it the total amount , right? Not monthy amount.. thank you !
Your help is so appreciated !!! Question: My US Citizen husband is my petitioner and I have my own 2 minor children ( his step children ) in this case he is applying for me and them also , wich means I should say "yes " they are aplying with me ? Also we supposed to have each one individually filled I-130 form & I 485 is that right ??
Hi Kseniya, I have been watching ALL of your videos and you are truly a God's send. Do you know if the AUPAIR count as an employment? I can't find anything online about it
We attended the interview, and now we are preparing to leave for the States. I am filling out the I-485 form for permanent residency Do I have to have to full out Form I-130, too?
