26 players on the DP tour got fined at the behest of Pelley. "We are delighted that the panel recognized we have a responsibility to our full membership to do this and also determined that the process we followed was fair and proportionate." - Pelley He said this when handing out fines to 26 LIV players who came from the DP and Asian Tour (Ian Poulter being one of them who paid 100K euros). All these players had to resign from the DP and Asian tours (even though the Asian tour is associated with PIF) or receive 100K euro fines each week they remain with LIV. Also, resigning from DP Tour means they cannot be in the Ryder Cup. Pelley was the Managing Partner of the European Ryder Cup. Now they're saying Rahm can be in the Ryder Cup??? And Pelley said he's staying on for several months to try and finish the PIF deal. Yeah, I'd be pissed.

Oh, and how many DP Tour players would have loved to try out for LIV if it didn't mean these fine or being suspended? All because of Pelley. The more I look up this guy, the more I find it disgusting what he's done.

Now everyone wants a world tour, with sponsors bailing on the unsustainable pgatour model, the DP World tour is clearly re aligning itself. Pelley royally screwed over the DP world tour, its players and sponsors by aligning with the pgatour in the 1st place and thankfully hes gone. A partnership between LIV, DP world tour and the Asian tour (which is rapidly growing) always made much more sense. Pro Golf is going to look very different in 2 years time

Amen brother PIF should have joined DP World Tour, Asian Tour, African and Australian tours. The PGA tour I still think don’t want to deal with PIF. I hope Rory joins LIV I’m afraid Rahm won’t make much difference. They need the main guy.

It looks like the world tour Norman suggested 30 years ago will happen in some form. Norman didnt want to break the PGA but a world tour for top 40 players. It is like soccer. A relegation system. Rory knows it will happen hence his backdown in the last 2 weeks

Pelley and the DP Tour had an enormous opportunity when LIV started, to keep their events open to LIV players who were looking for OWGR points…The strength of fields would have been impressive…and DPTour would have been stronger, kept its autonomy , and been able to partner with LIV when the time was right…Instead they aligned with the PGA, banning and fining players and agreed to feeder status to the PGA (10 players a year) for money and the hope that they would attract young players as a gateway to the “big show” which was the PGA but maybe not anymore…

DP World Tour is in a worse state now than when he started. It’s no more than a feeder tour for the PGA tour. If it wasn’t for the millions of pounds paid in appearance fees in these Rolex events it’s would be no different to the challenge tour. They need to get rid of co-sanctioned events first. Then appearance fees. Prize funds would quadruple in size. Last week Rory’s fee was more than the total purse. To be eligible for Race to Dubai they need to play a certain amount of events.

Alex, you cannot , in a 30 second segment, CREATE a massive excuse for Rory, declare your loyalty to him AND THEN immediately tell us that you’re going to stick with the facts!!??!! Here are the facts : Rory has continued to act like a spoilt privileged A** who has demonstrated he has absolutely zero leadership qualities, and yet is always sorted out as some kind of leader and beacon of reasonable. Each and every time he acts like a three-year-old you defend him EVERYTIME. If anyone else in pro golf, behave the way he did you’d be all over them.: ignorant and childish comments about Phil, Childish behaviour at the Ryder Cup, more childish and immature reactions to Patrick Reed…. The outbursts are nearly endless .. seriously, would you be so defensive if it was a LIV player acting like child??

100% about Rory , his comments recently are ALL based around greed , LIV don't want people like Rory or golfers like him. LIV is looking for golfers of days past and by that I mean Golfers with character , personality & integrity , They have NO interest in the vast majority of Corporate Robot golfers you see on the PGA that are all me me me.

Generally agree... LIV is mostly golfers passionate about growing the GLOBAL GAME. I don't blame many of the existing PGA Tour players. They have been let down by the established monopoly, who have been self-centered USA SPONSORS CENTRIC . LETS GO LIV. Tournaments all over the globe is the answer. @@user-gm8rb7yk4t

Here's an idea, how about the golfers run the golf, get rid of J and the rest of those hangerons. Transparency is dying, and BS from these cronies is ongoing, DP was sold out at the expense of the players, they deserve better managment, good content as always. 👍

Seems directed at Rory but obviously poults knows he may have to be around Rory more in the near future. And maybe back on teams together. But no doubt this is being directed at the commissioners as well. But I cannot stress enough how Rory has been by far the most vocal, dismissive, rude, confrontational, list goes on and on with Rory. Meanwhile these coward commissioners mostly got to sit back and watch Rory make himself appear as the biggest two faced Jack ass. Imo.

What I find funny is that Rory and others condemning Liv golfers for taking money from the PIF because of it's "dirty" money. Then show up in Dubai to play. To me that's pretty hypocritical.

SO How About Getting the inland Revenue in to do an AUDIT of Both Tours. It was a sticking point for LIV that the PGA were NOT being honest about their cash flow 🙂 I mean how is it that Jay Monahan has earnt more money through the Tour during his time than the Best Golfers on the Planet have ? and I'd bet a Fiver that Pelley is the same

Just in case no one has noticed, LIV is the ONLY tour that is truly GLOBAL! All of the other tours are regional. It wouldn't hurt me if if the PGA & DP went away. LIV can certainly pick up the slack.

LIV is a global tour of Exhibition tournaments. No cut line = Exhibition. No two ways about it.

Great video as always. I have always liked and respected Ian Poulter because he has earned everything he has achieved in the game of golf. Not to mention what a beast he is in the Ryder Cup. He embodies the mental toughness that I think is critical in match play. I respect Poulter because he tells it like it is. Great stuff as always! Keep up the great work and discussing these topics

Monahan started this. He associated L1V with Saudi funding to Saudi terrorist bombers of the twin towers. Then questioned the "morals" of L1V golfers.

Love your back 9 commentary Alex. The one thing you need to maybe be a little better on is your love of Rory. I understand he is your hero but the last two years of hate he helped to promote did nothing for his reputation. That he now is coming around to a more even keel in his opinion, one wonders whether the Rahm defection has just made him realize the loss of him for the ryder cup would hurt him & the chance of winning again. In regard to Poulter, he just says his mind & has all his life. No different.

all this comes down to money , money , money..... some golfers want more payouts down the line.. maybe some of the players want the rules changed so that they dont have to make a cut after 2 days to be in the hunt to make money...

golf as a business/sport doesn't just want its cake and to eat it, it wants everybody else cake, to eat it, and to charge you a fortune to let them eat it. has anyone received an email from sky sports offering a discount on their subs because the product we signed up for is no longer the premium product they advertised? no rahm current masters champion, no cameron smith current open champion, no dechambeau, no koepka, among quite a few other big draw names. taken for a ride, again.

Finally PGA tour and PIF accepted?.. most of the terms and conditions to establish Full Agreement...They are going to establish New World Tour and IPL like 3 month Team Sport event in every season ..Liv golf will be closed after 2026.
