It depends on whether the patient has been adequately informed of the risks associated with the medical care. So, if the doctors told them, “You might get cancer from HRT,” they really can’t complain that that got cancer from it. But if the doctors never warned them about cancer, pelvic organ prolapse, atrophy, etc. then they have grounds for a lawsuit. And the lawsuits are already coming in. There’s only going to be more with the passage of time. A 13 year old cannot legally consent to being medically sterilized. The big thing right now is that “this is just how it’s done” because WPATH wrote the rules that way. And everyone has been operating under the assumption that WPATH knew what they were talking about. Turns out, that’s not nearly as much the case as folks believed.

@@oakleavesandonions771 My ex-wife had breast reduction surgery. She never asked me my thoughts on that (at the very least trying to be respectful of my feelings....and btw I do acknowledge that it was her sole choice to have the surgery). She told me the evening before the surgery was scheduled. Our marriage was pretty much on the rocks at that point and this put a final end to it. She left me.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been talking with my husband about a breast reduction for years. Right at the moment we have other things that need the money more, but we’ve actually looked at boobs together and talked about what we like and don’t like, which has been kind of a strange but fun bonding activity lol.

Well, I’ll have 5 whole years of breastfeeding when all is said and done. And that’s more than most folks. But there’s a branch of my family that loves to die young from cancer, so I try to be vigilant. I already had a precancerous lesion removed, and I was still in my 20s when that happened. When my mom got a one-sided mastectomy I asked if she got tested for those two genes that predispose women to breast cancer. But she has MS so she couldn’t remember. At first I assumed that meant “no.” But lately she’s mentioned some things that make me think it would be smart to get tested.

@@oakleavesandonions771 I don’t blame you for being careful. I hope you have access to yearly mammograms and ultrasounds. Just remember that it’s worth getting a radical reduction done because menopause and weight gain amongst other things can make your breasts just grow back again. I also have MS by coincidence but I think my bad memory is down to ADHD and menopause. I also have big droopy boobs but I would have to pay for the surgery myself in Germany because the health insurance only pays with evidence from specialist doctors that your back is severely affected etc etc and even then it’s not worth the stress of fighting with the health insurance. I would definitely get a breast reduction after breastfeeding if I was you. And get tested in case they need to do something about your ovaries.
