Clare!! Your approach to this game is so interesting! I am interested to see how your views of these androids changes as you play through the game. One thing to note: androids are based off artificial intelligence and so theoretically could develop feelings and opinions. Just like humans. VERY DIFFERENT FROM ROBOTS. I wonder if you will consider them more human by the end of your gaming experience!

Based only on the beginning so far I think Clare's missing the "Become Human" aspect of the game title XD Also, humans could definitely be considered 'machines' in that without certain 'parts' or in our case organs, we malfunction; additionally, the heart functions as a pump bringing necessary nutrients, blood, and oxygen throughout our body. The brain also functions based on electrical connections between synapses (that's why in the Matrix for example human brain activity was used as batteries!). Our brains are basically giant CPUs/Motherboards! It's all so cool! We are animals, but the functions of our bodies can be related metaphorically to mechanical examples! So excited, I love this game and I'm excited to see her play it!

I think one of the most unrealistic thing about this game is when kara processes the red crystals and poor dad behavior she doesn't automatically alert authority's. like, I cant imagine these mechanics not having that be an automated function. they just start recording and send it to authorities. but then again it may be a privacy issue.

So excited that you’re playing this game! If you’ve watched the movie “Artificial Intelligence,” it’s very similar to this. The synths are purposely created to be as close to human as possible, while still being a machine that will obey human orders. Give it a watch sometime if you’ve not seen it, it’s definitely worth it💯

I wish the two couples (Brian, Amelia, Clare and Ali) would meet IRL or at least for an altogether live stream.... it would really be interesting what they talked about and how they acted /reacted 😁

Hi Clare, can I give a tip? I know this series is already finished but it goes for many other games too. With games where details matter or where the environment constantly progresses around you, you might miss important information if you don't pay attention to dialogue or if you keep your character moving while you look away from the screen. Maybe you could pause the game if you wanna take a moment to talk about something while the characters talk or if you wanna read the chat? I hope this doesn't come off as rude!

53:00 Ummm...No? I am not sure. Please be alert with the Autopilot, it can do some really stupid things sometimes. People are dying because of this over-reliance. Computers can do maths accurately, so we think they can do anything perfectly, which is a questionable idea. There might be situations where the autopilot will do a better job, but it is better to stay alert and maximize the combined ability. Navigational problems are really hard, it is miracle humans navigate as well as we do.
